As her eyes rove over the male's figure, Vesper introduced him to her as Anthem. He had graciously gifted them a moose carcass that she had happily filled her belly with a few days before. Noting the lack of submission from the male, her eye narrowed slightly and her temper rose. The male's gruff words met her ears then. Before she did something she was going to regret, she went through her options. She could chase him off for not giving her the proper submission that she deserved. Then the pack woud be out of healthy and capable guardian and hunter. They were very low in numbers, so they needed every able body they could get their paws on. Or she could do the right thing for the pack and accept him dispite his lack of respect towards her.
Vesper's gentle words broke her concentration for a moment. Glancing over at him, she studied his face. By now she had his features memozied, but he couldnt completely control his emotions that played on his face. She could usually tell when he was upset or nervous and when he was happy as well. Today, he was hopeful. Turning back to Anthem, head rising regally as she took a deep breath before addressing them. "Welcome to Fallen Tree Cove, Anthem. Your actions towards the pack, words spoken, and support of my partner all speak great things for you. But, I do hope that you show that same respect towards me... In time. For now, explore the area and get familar with the terrain. We live much differently here than most." She finished, before turning back towards the lake where she could relax upon her rock throne.
