Once it seemed that Moonshadow had said her goodbyes it was time for them to be off on their journey to Fallen Tree Cove. Kajika knew their journey would take some time but he felt they would reach their destination just before dark which would hopefully give enough time for her to meet Namid and Vespertio as well as to get settled in for the night. After their journey and the excitement of the day he was sure that she would be ready for sleep when it was finally time to turn in. for as long time during their journey they didn’t speak but instead traveled a pace that was easy for the young female to keep up with him and by the time they had reached the forest that surrounded Lost Lake and Fallen Tree Cove it had started to snow a little.
It was at that time that Moonshadow asked him a question that he should have been expecting, “I joined because this pack seemed to be what I was looking for in a pack when I first came to these lands,” he explained, “The Alpha’s are fair and willing to help their subordinates and all of the members are nice and willing to help out as well. Also we all pull our weight and do what we can to help the pack.” He had left out Des’s part in his joining Fallen Tree Cove because he felt it wasn’t the time to tell her and he wasn’t really sure he was ready to talk about it just yet.
Finally they reached the borders of Fallen Tree Cove and Kajika stopped just short of them not wanting to bring Moonshadow into the territory before she had been given permission by either Namid or Vespertio. “Now remember to be respectful and you should be okay,” he told her hoping that would be enough to get her through the meeting. It was all he could do for her because the rest had to be done on her own. Then he raised his muzzle into the sky and called for Namid and Vespertio before letting his gaze fall back to Moonshadow, “It shouldn’t be long now,” he said with a reassuring smile.
