Formulating his response, trying to decide if he needed to affirm what they'd just promised to each other or if it was okay to just sit and bask in how close they were tucked against each other, he whined with the softest of protests when she shifted, moving to stand. No, he couldn't let her go just yet-! But then he realised that she wasn't leaving leaving, that was silly and premature, she was just getting itchy paws. As much as he wanted to grab her and pull her close and grumble 'no, stay', instead he just smiled and stood up, tail beating a merry rhythm in eagerness for her suggestion.
Reaching forward to nip at her ear, he smirked "you sure?", and with the challenge set, turned tail and dashed off - and their laughter washed it all away.
