Without much hesitation, Eskil agreed with the terms of the cub's future once she was of age to be weaned from Enoki's milk and agreed that what she requested was only fair given the situation he had thrust unexpectedly upon the new mother. A nod was given and the matriarch was beginning to believe the conversation was sealed with a wax stamp when Eskil shoved a sharp knife painfully into Enoki's heart by revealing the child's name gifted to her by her birth mother. Elle.
Oh, how fate could be such a cruel and beautiful thing. An idea made known only to Elettra it had been a secret desire of the dappled woman to name a daughter should she be so lucky to be gifted with the chance to have a family of her own to name her after the now fallen but deeply beloved Archer that Enoki had looked up to and respected so much. Of course, her daughter Adeltra had been named partially after the woman, the young cub instead given a mixture of both fallen aunts to appease the love both herself and Nicolo felt for Elettra and Adele. Now here she was presented with another daughter to raise and what were the odds that she would already be given the name Elle by a woman most likely unaware of the powerful woman that formerly ruled these lands?
A snarl off to the side quickly caught Enoki's attention and smoldering amber eyes shifted away from the scared face of Eskil to catch the hard stare projected at the innocent child and aggressive demeanor Ravenna possessed. Not long after a huff falling from her lips before the silvered woman stormed off. Silence fell between the remaining wolves as Enoki watched the girl trod off until her silhouette vanished from sight, a heavy sigh escaping.
"Please excuse Ravenna for that, Eskil." A weary tone gradually wormed its way into Enoki's voice as she spoke, once more gazing upon the man's face.
"The name strikes a sore spot in both of us for Ravenna's mother was nicknamed El." She revealed nothing more on the subject, her vagueness still holding enough clues to point the man in the direction of why Ravenna reacted the way she did. If Eskil wanted to know more he could ask, but that would be answered another day.
The new mother had exerted what little energy she had to herself and like clockwork, the whines of her cubs within the birthing den alerted the mother that it was time once more for another round of feeding.
"I'll take good care of her, Eskil." Enoki spoke softly and honestly, bending her head down to carefully grab the newest addition to their family by the scruff of her tiny neck, mumbling a lighthearted reference toward feeding the always hungry children and a farewell to lighten the mood before retreating into the den to tend to the demands of all three children.
Fade.
