She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to convince herself that it was okay, she was very far away from home and they were less likely to find her than she them, because they wouldn’t be looking. She doubted they’d even leave the territory when - if - they noticed she was gone. The most she’d get was the label of ‘deserter’ and they’d move on with their lives without her. As long as she didn’t go too far east, she would be safe.

Looking up at Neo again, Vinnie offered him a small smile and forced herself to stand straight again and relax, swishing her tail a little to try to show him she was okay. ”It’s alright… we can just forget about them.” she said faintly.
Vinnie smiled a little more genuinely at Neo’s next words, promising her a place with him in his travels. Her ears lifted again. ”I would like that,” she said. ”I look forward to meeting your sister.” she took a couple steps forward and gently bumped his shoulder with her nose, all but holding her breath in the hopes the contact wouldn’t be rejected.
