Kingsfall this dream is now our reality

Finley was the first to show up. His heart twisted in a painful and longing way, something he’d felt every moment since that night. Her touch reminded him of it. How he’d wanted more, still did, but he couldn’t show it. Not here, or now. So he settled for a customary nod, though his eyes might’ve displayed a little more than that, for the short moment.

Until he blinked and focused on the others, as they filed in. Caspian, Reika, Ryder, Nix. All of them wolves he’d grown to love and cherish. Each greeting, little brush or embrace was returned in kind with a smile and nod, with one even directed at Reika’s mysterious friend. He was glad she’d decided to stick with them, after all.

Siyet, and then lastly Luca appeared from their respective sleeping areas, offering greetings and taking their places. All of them close, exactly as it was supposed to be. He shared the smile Flair offered, the pride she felt as she spoke. And there wasn’t much he could add to any of it.

”I do. But I might be biased,” the dark one responded to his co-leads inquiry with a grin and a bit of a quip at his own expense. ”We might be your leaders, but we’re here for, and ‘cause of you. This’s for all of us.” At that, he took a moment to look around, at each of them, and then lastly to Flair.

”To family, and a better future.”

If the mother noticed that Jethro’s eyes lingered on her a little longer than was appropriate she didn’t let on. Though deep down she yearned to take a place close to his side, but she knew she couldn’t. It wouldn’t be appropriate, he was engaged to another, even if he had admitted that he didn’t love Siyet and it was more of an arrangement. She looked away and back to her boys who had come promptly, earning them each a big smile.

Finley listened closely to everything that was being said and couldn’t help but feel proud of what the small group had accomplished. Including a few newcomers that she had yet to meet, green eyes looking them over closely. In the end she could only nod in agreement, and then feeling that was not enough, she lifted her muzzle to the sky and howled, a song of pride and accomplishment, a song of being home.

He tried to sit still, to listen as best he could. But there was so much to take in! Ryder did not seem nearly as interested as he was, at least until they caught sight of another boy. A new face, their age? He wanted to approach and introduce himself, but now was definitely the wrong time for that.

Caspian exchanged a glance with his brother before following his example, gluing his gaze back to Jet and Flair. It would be rude to stare. But through the corner of his eye, he could not help but try and sneak a peek.

The rest were mostly known to him, though not all. Hopefully, that would change soon!

When Finley let loose her song, Cas no longer held himself back from joining, standing to raise his voice. Was this really the beginning of something new?

Reika had positioned herself so that she had a clear view of Flair and Jethro. She looked around at all the faces. Some of them she knew and some of them she didn't. Their little group had really grown in the past months and she couldn't be happier that they were finally getting the home they all deserved. Especially her friend. Sliver eyes landed on Colette who had come to sit next to her. She offered the woman a smile glad that she had returned. Reika had truly missed the pale woman. They had a lot to catch up on.

Her gaze shifted to the boy next to her. This was probably all a big deal to him. She was glad to have him there within their group. She knew that once he was settled completely he'd make a good member of the group.

Flair was the first to speak expressing what they all knew. It was time for them to become an official pack. Next Jethro spoke expressing an appreciation for them all being there and sticking together.

There were many wolves that had come to answer the call. Nix wasn't sure what it was all about though Reika seemed to. He came to sit next to the older woman amd waited to see what they had been called for. He quickly found out that this group of wolves he'd become a part of were going to form a pack. It felt like such a long time since Nix had been part of a pack.

The young Valle listened attentively just as he would have if his father was the one standing up there. He did look around a little to see how the others were responding to this. It was all new for him since he'd never started a pack before. He could also see the faces of all the wolves he would have to get to know. There was time for that now that they were going to call this place their home.

Flair’s little speech, along with a quick look at all of the others gathered around, only helped to cement what the ghost had been feeling initially. Something like hope, for what would come in their collective futures. With warmer weather not too far out, a close-knit but seemingly till growing group, things were looking bright.

Cole didn’t know most of these wolves very well, and though that’d change in the future, it didn’t stop her feeling optimistic. The ghost was happy for all of them, and surprisingly enough, happy for herself, too. That she was getting to be a part of this, to witness the growth of it all as things came together.

She didn’t hesitate to join the others in their song as it began.

Luca remained a quiet listener, politely refraining from expressing his input. Not that he disagreed with anything spoken of. He was merely too new to have an opinion. However, as far as he was concerned, the chosen territory was lovely. He looked around briefly at all the unfamiliar faces before settling his gaze onto the alphas once more. He had so many questions about the hierarchy of this place.

His new packmates lifted up a cheerful song that carried well outside of Paradise Falls. It held strength and beauty in it. Hope for a bright future for those who sat all around him. The man did not hesitate to add his own voice to the melody. This was a new beginning for him as well and he himself was hopeful it would go well. His tail thumped eagerly as he bellowed out his note, muzzle tipped back to the morning sky.

Looking out at her pack as she spoke and then meeting Jethro’s eyes, Flair felt a kinship unlike anything she’d ever known before. She’d been in packs, more or less by her own choice, before, with family and without, but none had ever felt right the way this did. Chuckling openly at her co-leader’s joke, she couldn’t help but not to herself; It would seem I’m biased too…! And they were not alone, luckily. Finley was first to respond, not with words but making her emotions just as clear. Flair felt her chest swell as, one by one, her new packmates joined the song, showing their support for what was now, finally, Paradise Falls. And Flair waisted no time in joining in, tilting her own head back and adding her voice to the mixing tones – Jethro’s words echoing in her heart as their song echoed throughout the valley; To family, and a better future! ”Speech" Thoughts
