Caleb remained silent, and Phineas complied in turn. The ivory male was not much for talking incessantly either, and so he lead the way to their home, grateful for the silence that now fell between them. He had accepted this wolf perhaps a bit too quickly, and yet he knew it stemmed from Borlla’s weakened state. They needed more able bodies this winter for hunting, and this male’s more superficial wounds would heal far more quickly than his mate’s. Despite their short time as Magnolia Glen wolves, the pack had certainly seen better days. Hopefully, Caleb would not make him regret this decision.
As they came closer to the den site and where the others primarily gathered, the ivory male gave a nod to the darker wolf. He could settle himself from here, and it was likely one of the other members would stumble upon him.. whether they welcomed him or not was up to them and the hierarchy – he tried to interfere as little as possible in these matters and simply left them to nature.
Loping back toward the direction of the borders, he paused when he came across a scent. Kyros. Withholding a small smirk, Phineas changed the direction of his path, scouting out the whereabouts of his son and to see what he was up to on such a day. The winter would be harshest of all on him, and he could not keep but feeling more protective over the ivory boy than his daughter and Elliot.
