The hesitation in her voice was abruptly obvious, and it gathered all of his attention at once to be focused upon her. For Danica to suddenly be so nervous, he knew she was about to say something of relative importance. Tearing his eyes away from the child tucked at her side, the frozen pools locked onto his companion's elusive beryl ones. When she finally got out her initial claim, he couldn't help but smile at her, happy that their feelings could be so mutual. She certainly was the little sister he'd never had, and the only acclaimed sibling of his that he could foresee loving. Odd, given that he had an entire medley of half blooded brothers and sisters, but he'd had to escape them all to ever find a use for his heart.

She continued on, and his head tilted ever so slightly to the left as he tried to anticipate what she was getting at. When it was finally out in the air, he was thoroughly surprised but utterly pleased, and that sense of pride that had come with naming the newborn intensified within him exponentially. Godfather... he absolutely loved the sound of that.

"That sounds perfect, Danica," he accepted, suppressing the grin that was itching to be expressed.

He watched over her as she settled in then, exhausted from the effort she'd exerted bringing the child into this world. Two fragile, tiny beings that were all Gent's to protect. The sheer purpose of it all bolstered his resolve to stay awake through the night, ever vigilant and forever determined to shield them from the world's harms.
