Turtleback Lake say goodbye to all the glowing eyes

They definitely needed to have a prize for the winner so that the other pups would want to have a race too. It would have to be something that they all liked of course but also something that she and Lavender especially liked since they would he the winners, at least she hoped so. “ Me either but you're right we do have plenty of time to figure it out.” They had all winter to be exact and by then Oksana was sure they would have found something that would work perfectly for a prize. The young Baranski would have to give this some thought, it had to be perfect.

The little Crow had no idea that her goal to swim to the island would turn out as it seemed to be but she didn't mind. She would still make it to the island and be able to keep her promise. This was a chance for the other Hearthwood pups to join in and they all have a little fun. At Lavenders 'Oh’ Oksana's tail wagged excitedly behind her as she wished for the Stark girl to go on. “I love it. I mean who wouldn't want the chance to name the island. It's a perfect idea.” She encouraged the Stark who seemed to become more excited ht the idea each moment. Which of course only fueled the Baranski's excitement too.

With winter fast approaching it would give the girls plenty of time to figure out a name for the island. The colder weather and arrival of the dreaded snow her parents had spoken of wouldn’t disrupt their training—the little Stark would make sure of that. Exactly! She chirped in response, her ivory canines exposed as she flashed her a friend a cheeky smile. Her sister would be sooo jealous if she got to name the island… maybe she’d call it Lil Lil Smells! Focusing her chartreuse gaze on her ebony age-mate Lavender’s tail twitched mischievously, her toes drumming along the ground… We could start training now, she mused, her brows narrowed in determination, race ya around the lake! Without waiting for a response the girl took off, her previous gloomy thoughts cast aside as she sprinted along the edge of the lake…

Faded and Archived

The ebony pup looked forward to the training sessions with her age mate and it would give her something to do to keep her mind off her mum. When Inna did return though Oksana thought she would be proud that her daughter was working so hard. Her mother had always spoken of how important it was. The Baranski's ears swiveled forward when the pale pup spoke of starting training now, “The sooner the better.” They would have much better chances of beating the other pups if they got started as soon as possible. Unexpectedly the Stark girl took off around the lake after mentioning a race. Oksana didn't waste time, “No fair you got a head start,” she called after Lavender her tone jovial. She bolted after her friend with every intention of catching up.
