<b>"Oh yes, reasons indeed"</b> was Rebecca's reply to his question, with insane shine in her eyes and low, threathing tone, not looking at Rhysis. Eyeing the surroundings, she truly had reasons to stay. Some good, some... Not so good, but it didn't matter. This place was her home, she wouldn't leave. Pointing her eyes to him again, shine gone, now look that told nothing about her hate towards Rhysis in them.<b> "I think you're pretty good hunter, am I right?"</b> was her next question.

Rebecca started to see less reasons to be friendly to him, hate and anger getting stronger by his every slippery word or movement, while trust to her speed increasing by every look he got from her. Soon she could end this, hopefully peacefully, not running away or revealing her feelings, just that the brute would leave and she would leave... Though Rebecca wondered that her good night sleeps were ruined for few weeks... Due that brute.

<blockquote>Hunting? Now that was an odd question. He took a moment to glance down at himself. He hadn’t been eating properly, his ribs were visible and his legs were ganglier then ever, he was under weight and even now his stomach was gnawing at him for something to eat. It was such an odd question he took him a moment longer to answer. “I wouldn’t say that… I get by. Why do you ask?”

Due to having been alone for such a long time, he was rusty to say the least and had never really partaken in a large hunt. He had been thrown out of his pack before he’d gotten the experience he needed. Sure, he was alive and made it through each day, but he had a lot of filling out to do. The downside was he wasn’t as strong as he could be but he put that down to a mixture of his age and his malnutrition, on the upside he was much faster then he looked- though give him the choice and he’d no doubt pick strength above speed… it was just taking longer to get there then he had hoped.

<b>"Just wanted to know"</b> Rebecca said carelessly, eyes moving around, head tilting and shaking in slight amusement. Lazy smile on her face she wagged her tail in no friendly way. Standing up, giving a tip for Rhysis that now was time to leave for both of them. She didn't do more than stood up, waiting for him to do something before she would do anything. This to there and that is moved to here.

<b>"Is that why you look so... Unhealthy? Not having a good meal in some time?"</b> her question seemed to be innocent.

<blockquote>He chortled. Unhealthy? That was a fine way to put it. He didn’t say anything for a moment; instead he allowed his metallic grey eyes to watch her as she stood up. It seemed she was getting ready to take her leave, and he couldn’t allow her to leave yet, not until he had decided just what he should do with her. She was proving to be a lose end… he didn’t like lose ends.

“You could say that. Little food in winter, most hibernate and those that don't are out of my league.” Was all he said, before he too rose to all four paws and took a step towards her- he wasn’t close enough to be in her personal space, but close enough to close the distance should he need to. He kept his head high, his eyes trained on her, his tail twitched at the end whilst his breathing was still slow, stready…calm. “Why is it you seem so afraid of me, Rebecca?” he said. “You act as if I’m going to hurt you…you're very… wary of me and I can't quite work out why that is.”

<b>"Why would I tell it to someone like <i>you</i>?"</b> Rebecca said backing away if he came closer. Oh no, she wouldn't let him to quick attack distance! Head up, as high as she could get it, still not as high as Rhysis', due he was larger than her. But he wasn't grown-up, he wasn't healthy, he wasn't great threath to Rebecca. She was more worried about the future. He would grow up.

Fierce fire in her eyes, not letting him to get too close, physically or mentally. Hate and anger growing in her, blood boiling from those feelings. Ears slightly back, tail stiffened on the level of her back, she would not let him surprise her.

<blockquote>He tried his hardest to contain his laughter. He felt it building up within his chest but he would not allow it to escape. As she snapped her reply and danced backwards he held himself in position, it took all his might not to lunge for her. Yes he was younger, yes he was a little on the thin side but he had been fighting since the first step he took. He was certain he could slaughter her where she stood… before she even realised what was happening.

However. He didn’t.

Instead he let out a small part of his laugh, a chuckle if you will before he spoke again. “Oh Rebecca. What am I to do with you? It’s obvious you’ve taken an instantly dislike to me, though I can hardly think why. I’ve been nothing but nice to you...” He tutted them whilst shaking his head, though his gaze never left hers. “I know full well you’re going to leave here, run for help but you have no pack to run to, no one to save you if I were to attack… so where would you go? What would you do Rebecca?”

At that moment he had a wonderful thought, it almost made him gleeful. He knew a way to get her attention… Oh my yes he did. And with that he turned around and ran in the direction of her beloved den. What fun this was going to be!</blockquote>

<b>"I'm not going to leave anywhere"</b> Rebecca whispered so that he would not hear. Then that crazy brute started to run to he den! He... Arrgggh! Stupid, idiot, insane, crazy...! She hated Rhysis. For sure. But he didn't know Thicket as well as she did. He went the long way, but Reba knew shortcut. Dangerous it was, almost insane to even use it, but there you didn't have to dodge all those branches. One strong leap with her hind legs and she didn't see Rhysis anymore, hopefully he didn't see her either. On her secret path.

That secret path located well above ground, on a thick, large branch. It started as a tree growing nearly sideways, but it's branches grew higher, in low angle. You needed to know exactly what branches to choose to get where you wanted, and Reba had learned them all. It had taken huge amounts of time, hours after hours, but finally she remembered without having to stop and think.

There she ran, on thick branches that easily supported her weight and were definitely large enough for running, jumping form time to time, rushing towards her home. It took very short time now that she was running very fast and not having to are about other branches. There were more space above than below.

Final push, jump and she was standing in front of her den, waiting for Rhysis to show up. Head low, teeth bared, tail stiff, legs widened for balance, growling. Message was clear: Leave or I'll fight you.

OOC: Just a friendly tip, I was told you're still learning the ropes so please take this as friendly advise! You used a little bit of godmoding there by saying that Rhysis was slow and that she vanished from his sight. If you write what the other persons character is doing, that’s considered godmoding. It’s fine to describe what they’ve already done, such as moved from standing to a sit, but if you control their actions such as when you said “But he was slow, definitely” is taking control of him- when I adopted him he was actually described as ‘built for speed not strength’ which makes a lot of the post void. I’ll reply to it however I just wanted to point that out so you’d be aware of it for the future. Practise makes perfect! :)

<blockquote>He heard her flurry of movement behind him as he danced through the thickets. With his slim, streamlined shape not much stood in his way as he hurtled full speed back towards her den. The cold winter air stung his pale eyes, whilst the thorns of the thickets tugged at his fur and swiped at his eyes, but they were nothing more then a gentle touch compared to the torture he had endured in his birth pack, this was fun in comparison and as to what he was going to do when he got there… ah, it brought a smile to his mouth.

He remembered on his run, what it had felt like to have something belong to you and have another ruin it. As a very young pup he’d taken favour to a pinecone. Yes a very simple, every day object but it was his. He hid it within a bush outside his den where no one would find it, and when the pack were out to hunt or fight, or wherever it was they would go, he’d sneak out and play chase with the pinecone- tossing it high in the air and darting after it, trying to catch it in his jaws before it hit the ground. It’d amuse him for hours and he taught him how to have fun, something never permitted around the other wolves in his pack, or even his littermates. He considered that pinecone a friend, perhaps his best friend… until he found it chewed up by his father. Although he had held back the tears that wanted to escape him, as he watched his beloved pinecone shredded across his fathers smug mug, it hadn’t failed to break his heart that the only thing he’d ever cared about had been destroyed. His father hadn’t even said a word to him, just muttered about toys and war as he sauntered off, leaving Rhysis with the remains of his best friend…

The memory brought a snarl to his chest, the pain flooding his body again. He couldn’t make his father pay for that, but he could certainly make Rebecca feel the same as he did.

Much to his surprise she was standing in front of her den when he arrived. It angered him even more, to the point where his hackles were raised, his tail and head were held high whilst low rumbled and snarls escaped from his chest. His gaze narrowed on her, leather lips were pulled back and threw a guttural snarl in her direction. He could attack yes, but he was hungry and unfocused, the rage was building in him and he knew he needed a clear head to fight…

Instead, he began to mark his scent around the area of her den. He kept his distance from her, never turning his back or looking away from her steady gaze. He didn’t need to go inside to ruin the place… marking it as his own should be painful enough.</blockquote>

OOC: I'll take it as that :) And edited the post.

He.. Started to mark the area of her den? Mm... What use it was? Rebecca had never fully understood the marking thing, she didn't actually mark her den area, her scent was there because she spent time in there. Not having proper pack training, not having pack training at all, Reba didn't know that with marking it, you claimed it as your own. So she gave up her angry posture, sat down and tilted her head, staring Rhysis with amusement. What was he doing?

Booring...! Yawning, she didn't let him get out of her sight. Eys still following his every movement, ready to attack or do something if he would do something she couldn't allow. But it was boring to watch the other marking around. Finally she decided to ask it from him. It felt eternity from her, but actually it hadn't been that long time. <b>"What are you doing?"</b>

<blockquote>Was she… yawning?! He honestly couldn’t believe it… she wasn’t even bothered that he was claiming her den as his own? No… there had to be something more to it then that. This was common wolf behaviour, even he knew that, though he clearly wasn’t aware of her lack of pack life and knowledge. Well then, he’d just have to educate her, the only way he knew how to impart a valuable life lesson; with violence.

He stopped marking, turned towards her and lowered his head. “Here’s how this works. I mark your den. Your den is now my den. You have exactly 5 seconds to get out of my den before I rip you limb from limb…” He snarled as he lowered himself ready to pounce. He’d reach her with a push, his claws raked at the earth beneath them whilst his muscles bunched, ready to spring. Jaws were apart, eyes narrowed on his target as be began to count down. “1…2…-“
