Remy Geddes
It wasn't often that Remy Geddes devoted more than an hour to her work and still came up empty handed. Whatever tasks she had previously taken to hand - putting a wolf in their place, chasing a predator off her territory, marking the borders, what have you - had usually been completed in a swift, dutiful manner. She took no time to dawdle - smelling the roses was a task she left to some other fool who believed in its "importance". So much pride she took in her loyal and absolute servitude that she didn't dare ruin her image with even the tiniest speck of carelessness. And truth be told, her difficulties that day were not due in at all to <i>carelessness</i> indeed... it was just becoming more and more clear that she was better a warrior than she was a hunter. For the last hour she had been standing at the edge of the pool of water that gathered beneath the falls, poised with one giant pale paw at the water's edge, attempting to snatch a fish from the surprisingly gentle waters. She could have easily gone back to another territory and hunted down another rabbit or two, but the taste had gone stale after weeks of hares and she, though she was massive in size and did love contact sport, could not take down a deer without the help of another. So somehow, the idea had come to her that perhaps she could try <i>fishing</i>. The rivers in her home were often iced over and the bears had more aquatic tastes than she anyway; where did she get off assuming she could catch one of the slippery devils? Not even an <span class='word'>ort</span> had been gathered.

Remy cursed her incomptence (rather than the overconfidence that had caused her to believe she, without any experience at all, could easily catch a fish) and bared her teeth at the water. A low growl escaped her as she directed her cold gaze at the fish who swam so mockingly close to the surface, as though she could almost see the chiding smiles on their scaled faces. If looks could kill they certainly would have, and Remy would've been glad for that. The only thing that could be more frustrating than losing to slimy <i>fish</i> was her lack of purpose, still. Huffing a disgrunted sigh, the large wolf rocked back and planted her butt in the ground, glaring at the water's surface. All that restless energy couldn't possibly be good for her - soon she'd likely explode. Remy Geddes was not a wolf who quit - she had too much pride for that - but she needed a break from the irritation fishing was causing her, else she'd just leap right in and hope her sheer mass would cause some fish to fly on land. Thus she directed her violent glare at the black tip of her tail, and patiently waited for her blood to cool.

Elettra Archer
It had been days since her meeting with Bear and Kyrie in her travels within the fields of blackberries. Still, she made her travels south, back to the lands which she would soon take as her own and call home. In her trek, she searched for wolves with a sense for purpose and determination, worthy of those whom she would consider pack-mates, a family. Her own determination would not allow her to fail and though she'd yet to take a man of her own (uncertain of Alexander's interest to join her at her side) the woman was resilient none the less.
When she moved, it was not without an air of pride by her royal nature, despite her lack of ranking. Though she was rogue, she was no longer Grizzly's Second, but to by the founder of her own made pack. Her trot was swift as she made way along the edges of the mountain side, her attention high for prey, perhaps goat or some mountain sheep within their region. It was a taste she had not quenched in years. Though as she pushes forth, her attention is swayed from the hunt of prey to the meeting of another wolf. Her attention, locked upon Remy as her body freezes to the stranger just along the curve of the falls which she was approaching.
She looked of Makenzie blood, of the valley perhaps where Elettra was of the tundra, obvious in lye of the woman's size. Although Elettra had been successful at gaining one member in her to-be pack, she was small and young. She held much promise with her seemingly loyalty, a huntress perhaps even amongst the masses. But this woman? She dabbled with the art of tedious fishing where clearing she was a best suited guardian. Even Elettra, slighter then she, did not devout herself to fishing; she had not the patience.

The grey-backed wolf was quick to notice her newfound company as the flame of her incompetance waned. Her moss-colored gaze flicked upward from the dark tip of her tail to the equally dark wolf that had appeared some several lengths away from where she sat at the edge of the falls' pool. She'd frozen expertly, though Remy swore she could very nearly feel the radiation of her pale gaze locked upon her. Had it been earlier on she likely would've caught the dying scent of Grizzly Hollow within the she-wolf's black and grey pelt, but as it was any last hints of the former Second's old home were lost upon the newcomer to Relic Lore. Regardless, the distance still gave her gaze allowance to the stranger's regal stance. She noted it with no more than a blink - curious as to where she derived such a pride. Half of her nearly did part her white jaws and call out some form of greeting to satiate such an interest, but she did not. The distance was too great to be shouting across it like some loud-mouthed pup.

So Remy merely drew herself up and turned her cheek toward the darker female, though she did not let the unknown wolf escape her gaze just yet. Neutral territory, was it not? There was no territorial reason to be on guard, but there was also no telling what to encounter on unclaimed guards. Surely most wolves she'd come across thus far had been friendly - that one boy too much so and Sibyl, though somewhat painfully shy, meant well. That was because out here there was nothing to lose - and nothing to lose could honestly swing either way. Perhaps she'd merely gotten lucky with the previous two, but only time could give her such an answer. Flipping one red ear in her direction, Remy waited. Within moments there would either be an approach or she would be alone once more to attempt the capture of another scaly bastard. She could only hope whatever this fate dark wolf gave her by coming toward the falls would provide a decent change in her menial life.

The other woman regarded her with mild attention, her golden ears perked into her direction as she watched, and Elettra watched back. By the expression which she gave, it was only of curiosity and not aggression, much the same which Elettra was offering as her body remained tensed with weariness though her silky ears perked to attention towards the larger woman. Ever so delicately, would Elettra's muzzle dip downward in a small manner of greeting before her silvery gaze would shift to the water's edge, and then back again.
Only these few moments of pause was given before once more Elettra made way, with no ounce of interest in wasting her time sanding around doing nothing. She shifts closer, firstly only to the water's edge where she would dip her muzzle down for a drink, taking note of the fish which swirled from within, always just out of maw's reach. After but another few moments, Elettra's body would turn, padding around the arch of the fall's 'shore' line. She approaches slowly, and cautiously before the stranger as only natural, but though this is obvious, the lack of aggression is just as painfully obvious. "No such luck?" She questions mildly, her silvered gaze tipping to skim the water's surface to the fish but a moment before back on the light colored woman, dusted with black and tans.

From the corner of her gaze she saw the dark lady's greeting. Interest sufficiently piqued, Remy would turn her head once more upon the company, her expression now more expectant than it had been upon her first arrival. Politeness, lest it be forgotten, was not among her strong points, but it appeared she had finally stumbled upon a wolf of somewhat similar caliber to she - that meaning, the dark-coated wolf did not bounce on up to her like she was some childhood playmate and ask her questions about her favorite color and the sky and if she wanted to romp around the corner. The fact of the matter very nearly delighted her - as if <i>delighted</i> were an adjective that could ever be described in terms of Remy's demeanor - but regardless she would nod her head to the female's subsequent approach. The red-eared wolf avoided staring at her while she drank her fill - not only was that sort of gesture threatening, it was also just damn <i>weird</i>. She had better things to concern herself with than making herself and others feel uncomfortable with a bad gaze.

Moments after did she draw closer, her pawsteps easy and her posture unimposing. Remy regarded this with welcome; was this female truly a normal wolf? Within the minimized distance she could see the she-wolf was of smaller size, but similar stature - more in that she was sturdy-built and not her sheer mass. The pallid color of her eyes was striking - she figured seeing the female at night could cause the grey to look almost colorless. Lucky she did not believe in ghost stories, though she envied such a unique appearance. To her question she would raise her gaze, though she looked indirectly to continue the pattern of nonthreatening gestures they had agreed to. <b>None,</b>" She concurred with a slight shake of her head, green eyes trailing toward the fish as they swam aimlessly in the pool. "<b>Seems I have no skill for it.</b>" The idea caught in her head that perhaps her company had any skill at all, but she was yet in the state of posing questions; perhaps she could be answered unprompted.

Elettra Archer
There is an equality in their gestures and by this, a common ground in their ways. Far too many times prior, had Elettra ran into overly friendly wolves, willing to jump right up to someone without any sign of defense should things go not so smoothly. Though Kyrie had been a friendly being, even that small young girl had the smarts about her to keep her distance and watch with a keen eye should Elettra not have been in the mood for conversation that day. If not this, then others would take Elettra's 'realism' of the world as rudeness by crude manner, becoming aggressive in which, Elettra would act more so.
For the moment, Elettra worried not of this with the larger woman, who would take Elettra's body language with the same air and follow suit. Though Elettra's tail remained lowered, dangling between her limbs with an uncaring manner, her stance remained high and firm, her head rising to attention as her eyes crept between the other woman and the water, filled with silvery fish to match the color of her gaze. It is here inadvertently did Remy's gaze turn to El, colored in mossy greenery which Elettra had yet to see here in the lands of Relic Lore. It seemed variations of gold in light, bright and even orange and cinnamon hues was at it's most natural, though she knew of few silver as herself and even the gaze of Cali's bright, emerald green did not go missed.
"I'd never bothered to practice the art. I grow far too tiresome with the wait; I've not the patience." She admits, her nose wrinkling momentarily into the direction of the swirling fish, ever so often coming to the surface to cause bubbles in manner of what seemed 'taunting' gestures. "Perhaps there would be better luck with mountain goat? I've been trailing their scent for miles..." Though she had yet to find them, surely they would be along the mountain side somewhere? The suggestion of a hunt was left into the open and although she had only just met the woman (they hadn't even traded names yet!) she hoped the large lady would not object. After all, by scent, it was obvious she was a rogue as much as Elettra was. For survival's sake, they'd better luck hunting together. Remy's frustration in fishing had not gone unnoticed and, Elettra seizing this woman's hunger and size as an opportunity, could only ask.

Even more hopeful did the pale wolf grow at her company's admittance that she was no practioner of fishing. Her reason was understandable, <i>I've not the patience</i>. "<b>Neither have I,</b>" Remy agreed with a sly smile. Though she disliked admitting her weakness it was true she had little patience, not with wolves nor with the swimming bastards. Regularly she would have been less prone to openly speaking about areas in which she lacked but it was clear the other woman had no unneccesary judgment to be passed upon the Mackenzie female for being unwilling to put up with wasted time. It was entirely refreshing to meet a wolf finally somewhat like herself.

In her Alaskan pack she'd been a member of utmost loyalty and servitude but since her departure of the icy lands she had found there to be little camraderie in her rogue life. Besides making her irritable and restless with no purpose to serve, it made life more difficult and therefore less pleasing. So she took the female's mention of mountain goats as more than a passing observation, and saw within her features that it was her intention. While not starving, Remy would be lying to say she was not hungry. Fish had been taunting her for the hour and the hunger had only added to her irritation. So she nodded and looked upon the dark she-wolf once more.

"<b>The pleasure would be mine,</b>" she began, making it clear that she was accepting the invitation. The rest went if only for formalities, "<b>if only I were better acquainted. I'm Remy Geddes, ma'am.</b>"

Remy didn't give a whiff for politeness but rather that once she forged some form of pact - getting Sibyl home, for example, or accepting one's offer for a shared hunt - she chose to divulge her name so they'd know her as the wolf who'd done her duty. Briefly Remy gazed upon the mountains as they rose in the sky. She'd preferred the icy-tipped plains to the stony crags, but that did not mean she'd had no practice. Here, at least, it was not either rainy or snowy all the time so she would have a better grip in chasing the agile goats. And it would be far easier with the two of them, she agreed. That was called having sense, which it appeared so many of the friendly wolves lacked. Sensiblity was what she valued, alongside honor and service and pride of course. Perhaps there was good in knowing this intelligent-eyed female.

Elettra Archer
Elettra smirks ever so delicately to the woman's words, in complete agreement. Though Elettra could admit she enjoyed the taste of sea-food every once in awhile (having liked around an ocean before) she much preferred raw, red, meat. Besides, the love of the hunt was far much preferred- the rush of chasing down and then taking down a kill. This was not something you obtained by wadding in water for hours on end until the opportunity to strike arose.
The woman nodded, ever so delicately then and, with this, Elettra was pleased; it could even be shown upon her face. Though Elettra had not mentioned her need for recruitment when it came to joining a pack, Remy was much of everything what Elettra was looking for: strength (in any form, though hers was much more physical), loyalty, determination to succeed in what you longed (task wise), and feeling the need for a purpose in life then to just wonder around aimlessly doing nothing. If each wolf was so determined in her pack, each wolf putting forth effort in their task, and each wolf willing to serve then the pack as a whole would be prosperous, happy, and well.
"Agreed." She spoke, taking in the other woman's name followed by a delicate 'ma'am'. Elettra's muzzle, peppered in white and grays, dipped downwards for a small manner (though nothing less then proper) greeting of her own. "Elettra Archer." She left it simple, with no longer the need to add on her title which had formerly been 'Second of Grizzly Hollow'. After all, saying 'Future Alpha of...some pack title down the road..' seemed rather pointless, and foolish. Though her determination would accept nothing then success, she did not deserve the title until obtained.
And now, having introduced herself, the woman would shift on her footing, her plush chest taking in a deep heave and her body offering a shake, readying herself by loosening up for the hunt to begin. Of course, finding their prey was the hardest part.

Remy Geddes
<i>Elettra Archer</i>. It certainly was an elegant name for a wolf of proud stature, fitting of the dark she-wolf who had spoken it. Remy stored the name immediately, for the female was the first she'd met that was tolerable and turned out to be even more so.

Remy followed suit and turned her back on the pool of water, which caused an internal rejoyce for both the she-wolf and the infernal fish she'd been staring down. Her dark nose took to the air first, poising her body toward the range of stone. Despite her Alaskan blood she felt no calling toward the great mountains. She'd too much mass to put up with the kind of agility one needed to traverse the winding paths, and dragging her weight all the way to the top for some suitable resting place was far from her best interest. Mountain goat, however, were quite savvy with the dance, and she found liked to bounce on down just as much as they liked to bounce on up. The trick would be stopping them before they could hop their way to safety.

The large wolf rounded off from the falls, her gaze calculating as she studied the surroundings. Remy had been at the water for quite some time, and with Elettra's arrival no goats were bound to go near the water with all the wolf smell. But perhaps there were some on the way down to get a drink from the stream that ran down the mountainside. Higher up where the land was more elevated (and at a far more severe angle) the water was rushing and unpleasant - perhaps they would follow the path downward to a more even spot, where it was calm? Up the mountain they were easy to spot when they were in motion - little grey-white blobs leaping from crag to crag like it was nothing. Her gaze flickered toward Elettra for the woman's opinion. They'd both mentioned their lack of patience - perhaps they ought to take the stone and scare one down.

She followed suit with her counter-part, having only met the woman but moments before, but now traveling with on a hunt. As a rogue, gaining good, large meals was hard to come by if not already fatally wounded or dead. A rogue must stick to carcass, or variations of rodent, all of which in Elettra's short time of being a wanderer, she was sick of. Elettra was worth more then a squirrel or field mouse, and craved the good meat of caribou, white-tailed deer and now, mountain goat. Besides, what was a better way to get acquainted with another wolf then to pair up with one another in a hunt? It took a team effort, trust, and the obvious need to be one, together. Such things formed a stronghold which, for Elettra, came much easier then small talk...
And so here she was, following along the lighter, larger woman with a sway to her hips and hop in her step, side-by-side as though they had been traveling together for months. Making way to the mountain's foothills once more, Elettra takes to the tree-lines to keep herself hidden. From a high advantage, it would be easy to see the wolves awaiting a kill. Thrusting her muzzle upwards towards the mountains, Elettra signals that she will go up and, after but a moment, arches around widely and takes to the mountain side.
Though she is poised and a sturdy woman, she is not the most limber. She is not the most sheer footed, balanced, now swift. She lacks the ability to bound and leap as some more slender women might harbor, but does her best, hoping that Remy was following suit along the body within the shadow of the tree-line. After all, Elettra was a beckon on the mountains. Even with her greying marks along her muzzle, throat, belly and paws, she is still easy to see amongst the backdrop of pallid and pale gray.
Due to this, once a mountain goat is within the area, Elettra is quickly spotted. Instantly, the creatures which were below her on the mountain side, darted downwards and away from the wolves. There is but two- adults and perhaps even, a couple that had yet to have children over the season. Elettra is unsure, for in her eyes, she sees only prey. Now that she is spotted and the goats were successfully moving downward, Elettra makes all the ruckus she can possibly muster. She growls, she snarls, she barks out and snaps her baying jaws, her body jumping down in a heavy fall from ledge to ledge. She does what she can to get the goats to move down from the safety of their mountains though as she is moving far slower then the goats, it will be up to Remy to take one down before Elettra was able to aid her.
