The wind blew in the clearing, blowing dirt and fallen leaves everywhere. In that clearing sat a beautiful golden brown female who seemed to be going about her business, only one who knew her would know that she was snooping in the bushes looking for herbs. Aeylen had finally delivered her lovely darlings. Now was time for the darlings to be able to live and be healthy. Nina was currently looking for some herbs for Aeylen to help her produce milk better and at the moment she was definitely not having any luck. With a fustrated flick of her tail she tried to growl which quickly resulted into a hacking cough.

Currently the young female had lost her voice, rendering her useless when she was in conversation with another. It was hard but she knew she would always manage. . .it would be alright, things could have always been worse. Another wolf had helped her along the way and her throat had begun to feel better, but the worst possibly thing was, she couldn't speak. She wasn't that good at lip reading or talking either, which definitely made her weak. Someone could easily take advantage of her not being able to talk, and if she got in trouble, she herself would not be able to talk. . .she did not know what she was going to do.

Now as she sat there, helplessly watching the bush in front of her as if the herb she needed would magically pop out of the bushes. . .it would have been a total miricle if that happened, but as everyone knew, miricles never happened, no matter what the case. She knew that she would have to take a break soon because otherwise she would just wear herself out and get fustrated. Closing her eyes and laying down in front of the bush she inhaled and exhaled evenly.

Tlarx Everfall
Tlarx was wandering through a new part of the lore- the Thicket of Secrets. His massive frame slid through the mangled trees and bracken in a lithe manner...surprisingly for his size. The sun was at its omphalos within the sky, attempting to beat down heavily through the thicket but resulting in little luck. A small amount of warmth could be felt upon his pelt, and he continued through the thicket, wondering when the hell it would end. It seemed to go on forever.

As he leaped over a small fallen tree, Tlarx was in a clearing. The rays of the sun stretched through the thin canopy here, lighting up the clearing in the thicket below. Within this clearing was a tawny pelted woman- her coat seemed as if it was formed from the earth itself. The white beast watched in silence for a few moments as she loped about, looking through the brush for something- had she lost a possession? With a tilt of his head, the wolf stepped forward, large weighted paws crunching on old leaves as he did so. Outstretching his neck, he spoke quietly, deep voice rumbling within the clearing.

"Have you lost something?" It was a simple question, but one that would answer his curiosities immediately. The woman seemed to be a bit frantic, and a swarm of pity bit at the silvery-white man like bees as he watched her. Taking a step back now, the wolf prepared himself for bared fangs and flame lit eyes, as many wolves around here seemed to wish to display.

The day seemed worse enough, since she couldn't find the herbs she had been looking for but now she heard a voice, one that was quiet but strong. Looking over at the large male with fear in her eyes and froze. She couldn't give a phatic due to get voice so the only thing she could do was shake her head at the male in front of her. How was she to introduce herself? It was impossible to do so without a voice. Watching the male with slightly scared eyes she tilted her head. She didn't know how to talk to the male and she could only wish that he would understand her and that she wasn't a threat or anti-social.

The only thing she could think of was submission. Bowing her head down in silence and pinning her ears she made no eye contact with the white male in frot of him. He seemed slightly older than her and not from any pack that she knew of, so at the moment he was lone wolf. None of her concern until later, unless he got hurt somehow. Clamping her jaws together she stayed silent. The urge to speak pressed on her but she knew she couldn't. All would know and she would be scolded for it. She knew that she wouldn't want that. . .ever.

Tlarx Everfall
The sun continued to cast its glow into the clearing as Tlarx's jaws tensed. Why was she not responding? The brown toned woman shook her head, and suddenly sank into a submissive posture. Tlarx was growing confused, fast. Shaking his head back at her, his massive shoulderblades rose in befuddlement. "Are...you ok?" It was all he could pull from his mind; it came from his throat almost silently, but it was there. Anything could be heard within the clearing, for it was dead silent. The rustling noise is what had attracted him toward it.

Wait. One second. Was she a mute? Tlarx had never met a mute, so he was not sure what the actions such wolves had taken when attempting to communicate. This was going to be difficult. He stepped forward now, confident that the lady before him was no threat. He kept his fluffed tail in a neutral stance, proclaiming that he would not hurt her. Patiently, the man awaited the quiet one's next action...or perhaps words. Maybe she was just shy, but hell, he had not a clue whatsoever.

His demeanor didn't frighten her and it seemed like he wasnt a threat to her but his next question did. Was she okay? Yes, of course she was okay. Did she not look okay? Slightly embarrassed she looked up but diverted her eyes away from the man before nodding her head. She was alright. After while of silence she couldn't help but look towards the older male to see of, in fact, he was still here. The silence seemed to pierce Nina's small ears as she basked in the sunlight. Squinting her eyes to see the stranger it would seem to anyone else that she was closing her eyes due to their already slanted look.

The only thing she could fully determine from him was that he definitely was a white wolf before she stopped squinting as to not look like a self-hearted bitch. These days hadn't been the best for her and she had soon started to come out of her holy shell, but she knew she would have to remain holy, for she did not want to become who she was. . .never again would she be like that. it would definitely be a sin and she didn't ever wish to go back to that.

Tlarx Everfall
Tlarx was growing rather frustrated now. Brows furrowing, his inky lips drooped downward in a frown. "Can you talk? Just whisper... or something..." He did not know what else to say. What was happening with this wolf was beyond him. She had been looking for something when he stumbled across her, but what was it? Food? A plant? A plant...

He looked around now, eyes scanning the brush that surrounding the clearing. "A plant." he said aloud. Tlarx probably sounded like an idiot, but he did not care. His dark gaze continued around the outskirts; mind was rushing with thought. "Is it a plant you need? I'm sorry, miss, I don't know what is wrong." Why was he apologizing? Shaking his head, the white-gray man began regretting stumbling upon this woman. It had now become his obsession to find out what was happening with her, and help her out if he could. She seemed troubled. He could tell she was embarrassed as her gaze fell upon him, and the frown remained at his muzzle.

Almost instantly after she nodded her head the silver male started to yell at her. The girl instantly flattened her ears on her head and stared. He seemed to calm down after a second and tilted her head. After awhile of silence the male must have figured out what she had previously been doing and asked about a plant. . .yes. . .a plant. . .that was exactly what she needed. Opening her mouth she could only hope that the male was watching as she mouthed, I can't. She couldn't speak. . .she wasn't a mute, but she had definitely lost her voice, a voice that she barely used anyway. And then he apologized. . .apologized for not understanding. .he seemed like a nice enough wolf. . .just stressed and perhaps one that didn't like silence.

She wished she could have granted the other wolf with her voice, but with her current cirsumstances it was almost impossible to talk. Nodding her head at his question she tilted her head at him, her ears now pricked, awaiting his answer. She didn't want to be yelled at again, but she was curious as to who this wolf was and what his story was. She couldn't ask him though. . .soon she would have to find another way to communicate with other people. . .she might as well be a mute at the moment, but she couldn't help but miss her voice. . .it was how she did her job and if she couldn't do her job then she knew she would be lost.

Tlarx Everfall
Tlarx could tell that Nina was stressed; it began to rub off on him. With her rabid nodding, he knew what she needed. "Ok. Well, let's look for it, then. Point to me what it sort of looks like." What was he getting himself into? Whatever. He looked at the wolf, stepping forward gingerly. His massive white paws left imprints in the soil as he came forward. Rounded ears perked forth, he made his way up next to Nina, peering into the forest. "You lead."

The large man waited for her to begin moving. Whatever she needed the plant for, he could probably guess- her voice. What had happened to it? His dark eyes slid over to the right to look at her. After a moment, they immediately shot back forward. Tlarx froze now, awaiting the female to take the lead and bring them to where she may have thought the plant was growing.

The male in front of her even went as far as offering his help to finding her lady's medicine that she needed. Was he being serious. Tilting her head to the side she watched as he appraoched her waiting for the go. Nodding her head she lifted her muzzle and sniffed the air. The slight scent of ginger reached her nose. . .that would have to be good enough for now. it was something that would be able to help her produce milk and she could only hope that she it would help her leader enough. Nodding her head towards the male, of whom she did not know the name of yet, she took off towards where she thought the scent was coming from.

It felt good to be able to run again, for she hadn't been able to do so in awhile. She had injured her back leg in a fight and it had only recently healed, and she wasn't even sure if her leg had healed completely, but now her voice. . .it didn't make her happy, but she knew eventually she would have to deal with it, and that time to deal was now. Running through the brush she came to a stop and looked around to see the other male behind her. Opening her mouth she worded, Name? She did want to know this man's name. He was helping her. . .perhaps he was looking for a pack.

Tlarx Everfall
Tlarx let his mind free, allowing himself to stop thinking for awhile. They rushed through the thicket, the tangled branches attempting to trip the massive beast. He struggled a bit to keep up with the tawny woman, but managed to do so. He came to a half as she stopped, turning to look at him. Fortunately, the man's eyes fell to her face just as she mouthed Name?. Ears flattening, he looked as her with pity in his dark eyes. "Tlarx" He nodded his head at his very own calling. Looking now to the thicket beyond her, he sighed "Is there something you can get for your voice?"

No, he did not know she was looking for herbs for her leadess. He figured she may have had a sore throat or something along the lines, and wished to hold her voice to avoid irritating her throat. Flicking his black-tipped tail to and fro, the silvery-white man looked to the trees as a large crow swept through the canopy. It moved silently, beady black eyes gazing at the wolves below. As soon as it passed, he looked back to the woman in front of him, waiting for her to turn and continue.
