The sudden change from peaceful to war was instant, there was no transformation, no smooth adjustment, it was snap-of-the-fingers quick. Like the cherries above, all it took was one slight shake and things went downhill. The only female between three males wasn’t as intimidating as you’d expect, Treena barley acknowledged their gender. She acknowledged their physique in a tactical way, creating a strategy. She was a threat, very much so, and like her teeth she let her confidence be exposed. Maybe it was something about being a Poison Path wolf that had made her so damn dark, like a cutesy rabbit with murderous red eyes and sharp fangs. Her personality, and her elegance, totally contradicted one another. She was a wolf, bred with the instincts of a killer, yet somehow had the presence of a human child. The clear open paths made Treena relaxed and at ease. Had it been the forest, she would have lost the under-hand, had it been the mountains, she’d have these two males tumbling over one another. Standing here, even she had to admit she doubted anyone could claim the knowledge of fighting in a cherry orchard.

The woman could feel some fallen berries beneath her paws, squishing and letting the red liquid ease between her extended claws. It stained her fur, the urge to instantly lean her neck down and lick up the mess slowly drifting her concentration off the attackers. Of course, she pushed that thought back and raised her tail, claiming dominance. She stared into the male’s eyes, letting Ash handle the honey gold and silver man. She would demand he break before helping out Ash. She wasn’t one with a big ego, but it was fair-sized, and it was wired into a wolf’s mind not to back down. She couldn’t afford Ash getting tired, she’d have to leave this show-down eventually and get back on schedule. For now, she made herself seem as large as possible, reaching a threatening height above the boy.

The female’s chiselled expression didn’t even twitch from anger to shock hearing the man’s words. Instead she kept her face emotionless, totally blank and unreadable. The smaller male’s words were intense, but she couldn’t find it in herself to believe them. She knew much about Ash, and a cruel murderer he was not. Maybe if there was a reason behind it, like he had taken karma into his own hands and fought for justice. Of course, she could never do that herself, not to the point of killing another, but she could accept him for it. Listening to the snarling small brute, Vafri’s stories seemed more truthful than his words. Treena wasn’t a foolish wolf, she understood, but one opinion meant nothing, even more so when the male she disrespected. The young brown wolf staring into her meant nothing, just a road-block. Her eyes darted from Kashikoi to Ash, and she pursed her lips in frustration. <b>“Only fools assume what they do not understand.” </b>

The words escaped her mouth quite politely, as if asking a name or commenting on the weather. She focused on him for a moment, growling, snarling. A savage at best, the little monster seemed quite enraged. At least she managed her frustration behind a well-constructed costume, which only hinted the danger of provoking such a lethal creature. Oh, how she’d love to fight him, shake him from his false reality and show him who he was messing with. That, though, would not serve the female any pride. She knew she could take on others of a smaller physique. He’d have to learn that lesson from someone else, or maybe, if she was lucky, she’d run into him once more. A fight with him would be amusing, especially near the mountains. With a frustrated smile, she gave the biggest insult possible.

She just left.

Of course she didn’t prolong the moment and give him a chance to attack. Her seductive figure nearly tilted and curled in an unusual and breathless way, making it near impossible to judge. It was also slightly distracting, especially to those who had never seen her turn the charm on the way she was now. She didn’t sprint, but she was taking no joyful walk on the beach. If he wanted, he could catch up and try his chances once more, but her pleasing eyes were focused on Koda as she gave a bark or two. She didn’t want to fight the male. She was hoping to tire him out, a game of chase. Unlike strength and speed, it is hard to tell how high someone’s endurance. Treena knew nothing of Koda’s, and he knew nothing of hers. She only knew her own, and with the confidence, she gave herself up as diversion.

The rage and near desperation of his opponent were hard to miss. He didn't miss the slight reaction to Kashi's words. <i>So, his female didn't know of his secret nature, eh?</i> Well, Koda intended for all of relic lore to learn of the traitorous devil's true colors. If he survived this day, he would not survive unscathed. In body or reputation and he would start with his female. In fact, it appeared that she would make it easy for him to fill her lovely ears with the truth of her lover, as she was headed in their direction. He saw the female closing in, but he spared her no more than a glance, trusting Kashi to keep her busy as Ash came at him with a brutal attack.

In the end, the move did not do any significant damage to either of them, but Koda felt sharp fangs scrape across his muzzle, staining the creamy fur pink with his own trickle of blood. It felt as if he made contact with Ash as well, but he didn't dwell on it. Instead, he spun around once their bodies passed one another with a dull thud. Koda wasn't even phased. His golden eyes were dark with fury as he snarled at Ash, <i><b>"Why! Why would you attack your own sister and leave her for dead? Why would you try and kill your own blood?"</i></b> His loud and angry words hung in the air for all to hear, before Koda lunged once more for the demon, this time his head was low and he aimed for one of the other male's front legs, jaws wide and white fangs flashing.

Kashi stared at the female turned away with the words, “Only fools assume what they do not understand.” All though the comment and her turning her back on him angered him greatly he chose not to follow. If she was so set on leaving as <span class='word'>Volant</span> as possible, so be her. The young wolf had no qualms with the female, she was just ignorant. As she turned her back on him he growled a quick reply, <b>"Then you are truly the fool"</b>

As much as Kashi wanted to chase after her he had more anger towards Ash then at her turning her back on him. Growling he turned his attention towards Ash. He saw Ash's failed leap and saw his opportunity to attack. Hoping that Ash was still off guard he rushed forward and snapped at his back leg hopping to grab hold of him with his fangs. Kashi may of been told not to kill the wolf but he wanted his blood more than anything.

<b>OOC :ROUND TWO</b>

The chaos around him would not stage him right now. Talking was not going to fly with him at the moment. Focus was eye right now. . .nothing could distract him from the key at task. Soon Treena came into his own line of view and he had a brief flash of anger within him. . .where was the little rat from his sister’s pack. He was ready for when Koda came at him but apparently not prepared enough for the male. Ash did however sense Kashikoi sneaking up behind him. With a snarl as Koda leapt towards him his back moved and arched backwards, jumping. No contact came to his back legs or back in any occasion, but the pain he soon felt in his front paw killed him. He heard the snap as his bones became punctured. The golden male had come in contact with his paw and broken the bones. New found rage was kept within Koda as he recalled his words.

Snarling at him he seemed to scream, ”She’s a Dark Heart.”

And with that one sentence he launched himself back into the battle. Only one word could describe the male right now. . . .dangerous. His father had taught him much as a pup Ash had been drilled from day one. . .Nina is a fraud. . .one who didn’t deserve to live. Anger drove its way into Ash’s head. He instantly recoiled and shook the man off with little success. He soon opened his jaws and risked his own paw to go from the male’s throat. He knew it wouldn’t kill him but it would be enough to shake the male off of him. . But this would only happen if he did come in contact with the male.

Another key factor would be keeping these male’s away from his love, something he couldn’t do easy. If he could easily sweep his tail to make her invisible he would. This was not her fight. . .it was his and she needed to get out of here so she could get away and to her pack. With a cautious glance at his love he smiled at her. It was a pained one, but filled with love and comfort. He would still be here for her, no matter what the outcome.

<blockquote><b>OOC: It was brought to my attention that my post is downright confusing. I apologize. I remember seeing some genius fighting thread, where someone created diagrams to keep things clear. It’s 3:47am for me. This may just make you more confused, but please, look it over. It starts off after Treena and Kashi call eachother fools, and she walks away from him. This is just how I see things, but I am a little confused as how everyone else sees this event going down. I hope it helps a little.</b>

<a href='http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/ww46/treea_bucket/partone.png' target='_blank'>Round One,</a> <a href='http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/ww46/treea_bucket/parttwo.png' target='_blank'>Round Two,</a> <a href='http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/ww46/treea_bucket/partthree.png' target='_blank'>Round Three.</a></blockquote>

The anger, it bubbled up in the female’s blood as she saw her mate’s adorable smile. She was not mad at him, she was mad he was being attacked. That anger controlled each fatal lash that she gifted to her enemies. There was no thinking. They were the bad guys. They deserved to endure each deadly swipe. If they did not die today, she would find them. Then she’d kill them. She would tear them limb from limb. She would use her recently sharpened teeth to cut their flesh open and watch them bleed among the berries. A tornado of anguish, she moved as quickly as she could. No one in the group was faster than the other, everyone was on even ground. So, that speed was as quick as they could dodge. She was now a giant threat. Now that her power, her strength, her experience had been revealed as more than a majestic woman. She was a killer. She had the instincts. She had the reason to watch them howl in agony. There was no stopping her. It was the large male attacking Ash who was stronger than she, but she had high stamina and could endure it. Her beautiful body twisted and danced in blood-lust, protecting her love.

A blood-screeching howl shook her jaw, warning them off. She would kill these bastards with ease. It was clear she meant business, and they should fear her. She was not large. She did not have the strength Ash so obviously possessed over everyone around him. She had the intelligence, the strategy, and the stamina. These males couldn’t touch that. She could dance all night. She could tear the small young brown male within seconds. That much was clear. Of course, he could heal himself afterwards. She could not. She was a fighter, nothing less, nothing more. It was Koda she wanted most though. Her howl breaking out into salvia dripping growls, she flew into the air over Ash. It was a hell of a jump. Her body seemed to shake into another form, so much larger, so much more deadly and intimidating. She didn’t even pant. She had jumped farther and higher, like a flying squirrel she learned to use her body in the mountains. There were no room for mistakes there. Here? A small hysterical laugh escaped her mouth. Here, the mistake was theirs. These men would be stupid not to look at her in shock. It would not be brave to see her as a victim. There would be no points for idiot behaviour, to overlook her already smashing claws. Instinct ran deep, and if these men had any, they would turn upon her and try and eliminate the threat she held so obviously above their heads.

She did not speak. Her screams sent shivers down her own spine. There was no need to use words. She had spotted Kashi, but not before Ash. Turning on her side mid-air the strong lady felt proud as Ash jumped too, they looked magical together. As if dodging bullets in an action shot, the pair went different directions and somehow avoided crashing. Kashi would not touch her mate. He would taste no blood but his own. She would make sure of that. Koda was right there though. He was running at Ash like a bull. His head was so low Treena knew where his attack were aimed for, but couldn’t stop it. She didn’t have speed to intercept it successfully. Her calculates would be dot on, they always were. If she went for him, she’d be about a second off, and stand alone as he went in for the front paws of Ash. Her mind was like a hummingbird, it never stopped. It didn’t need to. She watched her male not dodge, but lower his own head and aim for the demon’s throat. An eye for an eye tactic it was cut out to be. Loose a paw, gain a throat. Treena would lose nothing.

She’d earn two dead bodies.

Her back-leg kicked out with the speed of a snake. It was a harsh move, one aimed for Kashi’s spine. It didn’t matter if it connected or not. If it did, at best, it would temporarily paralyze. She doubted that outcome, her luck was bad, but her hopes high. By the time that leg was back under her, she was sprinting around Ash for Koda. It was merely a ‘stay down’ demand, which also didn’t matter. If he got up, and went after her, she could handle it and still take on Koda. Maybe that was her ego, or maybe it was a well educated guess based on past fights. Either one, she was ready for it. Her eyes darted wildly, but her teeth knew where they wanted to go. With Ash diving from the top, Treena went for Koda’s fleshy side. It was a pretty well-aimed attack. The two extremely large brutes were focused on one another. She just had to sneak around and show her fangs. She had to sense the weak spots on each wolf. She had to expect. She had to infer. She had to fight. She had to avoid his back-legs.

She stayed pretty far from all Koda’s attacking parts. With his head as low as it was, he’d have to be fast to avoid Ash’s teeth and still manage to grab hold of her. It was unlikely, but not impossible. What was impossible was her not seeing Kashi. She kept her eyes well focused on him as she prepared to tug on the male’s skin. It would be a fatal wound if he wasn’t prepared. If he could get free, it would be nothing more than a little blood. Had he known she was there, and got lucky, he could pull back from both Ash and Treena and escape, but that way no harm would have come to Ash’s paw. It was a win-win situation for the female.

Her eyes were still on Kashi. She wasn’t even breathing hard. She had run farther than this, and faster than this, and still didn’t break a sweat. Her mouth tasted of blood, whose she did not know. This was her first true attack, the one well planned and taken to action. She had no reason to taste blood.

Not yet anyways.

Koda Reinier
The thrill of success coarsed through Koda as his second attack met it's mark and his powerful jaws closed on Ash's leg with a satisfying crunch. As he bit down, bones broke like twigs before him and he became aware of two other events, attacks from both Ash at his neck and the female off to his side. Having already done a good bit of damage to the devil's front leg, Koda started to twist to avoid the fae's attack on his flank and deflect the one on his neck and felt his feet slip out from beneath him. He felt teeth scrape viciously across his scruff and hip, possibly drawing blood, but doing no truly serious damage. It took him a moment to identify a sound that seemed out of place amidst the snarls and grunts of battle. Bloodlust filled the normally peaceful male as he realized that he had never released Ash's leg as he had twisted away and then fallen and the bones sounded as if the shards were grinding against one another. Finally, he loosed his grip, his maw filled with short hairs from Ash's mangled leg and scrambled to his feet, before they could do more damage to him.

A red haze covered Koda's vision as he pulled away for the next attack, trying to pinpoint everyone's location. His scruff stung, but his hip burned fiercely and he knew that the female had left her mark on him. He had done the same to Ash though and Koda was well satisfied with the trade off. Ash's leg was obviously broken and looked to be quite painful to the burly wolf. <i>Good, that was for Nina!</i> It was only a tiny portion of what the demon had done to his love, but it was a start. He had broken her leg and now he had his own shattered limb. Dark satisfaction filled the large male. Now, he waited, facing the other wolves, ready for whatever they chose for their next attack.

Panting, ever so slightly, Koda's voice rang out once more. <b>"Nina is no <i>'Dark Heart'</i>, she is the gentlest, kindest soul that I've had the pleasure to meet and you tried to snuff her life out! Why?"</b> He demanded to know the reasoning, for he hadn't a <span class='word'>pense'e</span> as to why he would do such a thing, especially to his own blood.

The young brown healer jumped back quickly as the large female jumped back into the scene of action. One had to admire her dedication to her murderous mate. Upon landing her jump she released a blood curdling howl into the air. He anger was apparent as the sound of bones crunching filled the air. Kashi's attack might of failed but it provided Kano the opportunity to latch onto Ash's foot and crushing it. So this is what a killer's life was like.. he had to admit that he hated the idea of it all. Interrupted from his thoughts he was immediately grateful for his small stature as The female kicked at him with her back legs like an elk would. The surprise kick thankfully went over his back leaving him unharmed but bringing him back into the fight. He growled in retaliation the the kick as he ran at the female from behind her. She may of got to Kano first but she would pay for it as he lunged forward with a bite, his sole aim was the leg the appeared injured. If he would get hold of that leg he would bite it as hard as he could.

OOC: Final round. Note to self: Nina comes in after Kashikoi‘s next post and then Ash.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/bluepups/AshTable.png); background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding-top: 250px; padding-bottom: 20px; padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px; text-align:justify;">His bones continued to grind together and he winced in pain. . .but soon the older male’s jaws loosened and Ash’s own paw returned to him. The snarl from Treena angered him. . .he was not angry at her but more angry at what had made her snarl. He could easily make it towards her, and that was what he did. He limped near by her, protectiveness coursing over his features. No one would touch her, he would watch over her. His muscles flexed in his shoulders as he walked forward and then he saw. The way Kashikoi was moving, going for her back. . .her back leg.

No! With a snarl he leapt forward, using his back legs for momentum as he came crashing behind Kashikoi but before he felt fangs nip at his fur. For once he could be glad that he was larger than his mate, if they hadn’t been close to the same size it probably could have injured Ash even further. With a sharp tug on his side of things his fur was ripped off, leaving him backing up towards Treena . Attempting to push her back for her sake and his.

At this time Koda’s own words echoed in his mind. Nina was a Dark Heart. He wouldn’t understand, for he wasn’t a Hervok. His own snarling voice rang over the forest. "You are not a Hervok! You will not understand my family‘s ways!" His voice was harsh and cruel, proving easily that he was telling the truth. In his mind he considered Treena a Hervok now. . .she was his. He had proven that she was his. His pelt smelt like hers, as did hers smell like his. They were together, and he wouldn’t let anyone hurt her, as long as he was around.

Each push, shove, nip, it all impacted her in the same way. It only pushed her further into aggression and attacking. Blood dyed her muzzle an interesting shade of red, drying into her previously clean fur in large chunks. It would have been itchy and irritating had she been concentrating, but her mind was on other things. Her bristling fur, large gleaming fangs and narrowed eyes were positioned for the most intimidating response. She wanted to be remembered. She was now breathing harder, but not a pant. It was strange how high she could endure this type of battle. It was only her conscious which told her to stop, for the pack. She would not injure herself badly and return to them limp and useless. She was so focused on Koda, about attacking the large male and weakening him, she had forgotten her own defense. It was a stupid mistake a wolf of her knowledge shouldn’t have forgotten. That was why it hurt her most to see Ash leap to her rescue, because it was not his mistake. She let him lead her away, head low and eyes keen for another attack. <b>“You’d kill a murderer?”</b>

Her words were vicious, snapping at the air towards Koda. Her eyes were liked daggers, slashing him open with each scowl. <b>“Not even a real murderer, but one who was bringing justice to his own life, one who did not even kill.”</b> She stepped away from Ash, tail high and hackles raised. If they were going to attack her, she wanted to make sure it was her they ran into. Ash would not have to endure anything more. None of it made sense to her. Ash had not killed Nina. Ash had merely done what he thought was best. Now, it was not Nina who was fighting for herself, but these two wolves. <b>“And not just that, but you’re willing to take down his mate as well.”</b>

The anger was seeping back into her words, each sentence a barley understandable growl. These men deserved to die, and under her paws. She wanted to end their lives. She could only imagine how it would feel, to watch them choke out their last breath. <b>“And you think this is justice?”</b> Her body shook, making things clear once more. She wasn’t tired, she had been warming up. Now, she wanted to fight. That was why she jumped into the air once again, claws slashing and teeth sparkling. <b>“I will show you justice.” </b>

Koda Reinier
Before he even had a chance to react to Ash's venomous snarl, his lady attacked him verbally and seemed to be preparing herself for another onslaught. The large silvery male braced himself for the next attack, golden eyes shifting between Ash and his female.

Koda could not believe how dense this female of Ash's was. Her own 'mate' was trying to protect her and save her life and she still yelled at him of things that <i>she</i> did not know. It was true he didn't know all of the details, but he knew enough to know that this zealot did not truly have a foot of honor to stand on. So what if Nina didn't join her father. Honor was important, but so was happiness. She hadn't felt as if she could stand behind him and one should always <i>want</i> to support their leader. It is a daft leader that would force others to his will in such a manner. The pack could never survive without loyalty <i>freely</i> given and respect <i>earned</i>. All she had done was walk away.

When she asked of his desires and intents, Koda shook his head in frustration. <b>"I would kill to protect myself or the one that I love. <i>I</i> did not start this fight!"</b> He turned his head to glare into Ash's strangely familiar eyes. <b>"For reasons beyond my understanding, she loves you still."</b> When Ash had yelled <i>"You are not a Hervok! You will not understand my family‘s ways!"</i> Koda had fought to keep back his and Nina's secret, but he simply could not hold it back any longer. This male needed to understand just how much Nina meant to him. With his next words, there could be no doubt.

<i><b>"Neither is she! Nina is no longer a Hervok... she is my mate and I have freely given her my name, she is now Nina Reinier!"</b></i>

Then he was preparing to dodge the female's formidable attack. She might be smaller, female and wounded to boot, but he would not underestimate her heart or ferocity.
