Borden Lyall
Intended for the rest of the pack to meet the little ones, who are now allowed/able to venture out of the den (if curiosity allows)!

<blockquote><i>Late Morning; Overcast; Current Temperature: 57° F/14° C</i>

Borden Lyall had waited patiently for this day to come, just as he had the year before when Prosper, Hocus, and Trisden had turned one month old. Four new and rather lively Lyalls had been tucked away from the rest of the world, fervently guarded by their mother for the past few weeks. Just before the sun had risen, the leader had taken a few measures to secure the immediate forest surrounding the heart of the territory. It might have been considered a bit compulsive, but after <i>losing</i> all three of the cubs who bore his {and Jaysyek's} bloodline, he could not risk having anything going awry.

Taking swift and <span class='word'>volant</span> steps quickly brought him to the small clearing. One quick glance around and a deep breath of air conveyed that nothing, and perhaps no one, had even disturbed the site since he had left only two hours ago. He lowered his muzzle to the forest floor then snorted briefly as if to test if his arrival stirred the excitement in four curious minds within the den. Shaking out his coat after training his eyes on the old, underground bear cave, he sauntered forward then gave a low, soft bark. His tail waved about behind him as he sat before the tunnel entrance, eagerly waiting for a greeting of any kind - Jaysyek's or otherwise. The cubs had grown quite a bit in a month or so and he was eager to introduce them to the wolves that had currently made up their pack; he was also certain the youngsters were just as ready to meet them also. Tearing his gaze from the tunnel walls he looked over his shoulders before releasing a smooth howl into the canopy above. Whoever was listening, the invitation was out for those who wanted to meet Grizzly Hollow's newest members.</blockquote>

Renier Lyall
<blockquote>It was wonderfully warm, and cozy in the darkness. He had eaten not to long ago, and for the last hours had been content to sleep with a full stomach even with the sun shining brightly outside. He had already went through quite a growth spurt, and was planning to do so again. The lad needed all the rest he could get, if he was ever to reach the size of his father. The thoughts of a next meal, brought great satisfaction to his mind, and he churned in his sleep licking his lips in anticipation. He was no longer dreaming of something sweet, there was something...something above his head. He stirred, not sure if he was hearing the sounds of paws, or the sound of a curious sibling. He picked up his tawny head, his eyelids opening to tiny slits. Was it time to get up again? Stretching his round jaws, with a wrinkled brow he sits himself upward not sure what has woken him. He is deciding to check it out or go back to sleep when a deep, authoritative voice breaks the air in a beckoning song. He is jolted by the powerful sound, and loses his balance, rolling into on of his siblings with a tiny whine of protest breaking from his lips. This was no way to be woken!

Trying to collect his balance, he rights himself, and begins the climb from the dark to the light. It is no easy feat, but his chubby legs, and large paws are no match for the incline of dirt. He sticks his head just outside the line, a deep scowl across his darkened face when his narrowed eyes search out the noise maker. His little mouth open he was about to give them a piece of his mind, when he saw <i>him.</i>The boy is almost startled to see the tall figure of which could only be his father. He half shrinks from his bold stance, and presses his ears meekly. His father may not have seen him yet, he decides. Soon his shame is replaced with eagerness to greet his guardian. A happy woof, and wiggling tail of excitement he toddles toward Borden with an ear splitting grin. He can not get their as fast as he desires, but lives with the waddling, and jumping stride. He is so close, and throws himself the last couple inches. He easily overshoots his aim, and bounces into the back of the Lyall's hock. </blockquote>

Follko Theizkei
Follko was on his way back from the borders of Grizzly
Hollow territory when he heard the call. Borden is calling the
the pack together for something. I wonder if it's about the pups?

Follko shook her pelt out and began trotting a bit quicker to the howl.
The scents that reached him were his alpha Borden and a milky
pup scent. Finally the pups are out and about. I can finally be of help
to Jaysyek.
He slowed his pace and padded slowly towards the den.
He knew that alpha males were specifically defensive of their pups so
he lowered his head and body to Borden and stopped several feet away to
give him and the little one space. The older wolf would wait for his alpha to allow
him a closer look.

"Well he's a little looker." Follko relaxed himself to a sit and watched the first pup
as it tackled Bordens leg. Right now he couldn't really do much except watch the little
ones until they were a bit older. The elder wondered when the other pups may
make an appearance. He hadn't come to the den too often after Jaysyek had led him
there after joining to show him the caches. He wanted to allow her and his alpha
Borden time to themselves.

With a glance at the pup he registered the scent into his mind. This little one and
his siblings will all be his new packmates. These youngens were his new future. If of
course he had more than another five years left to live.

Taima Lyall Avelin
<blockquote>The sounds of Renier shuffling about made the girl shrug and try to go back to sleep. She had already been woken up twice by having someone's paws bop her on the side of her head, then having a cold nose breathe into one of her ears. It wasn't until a low bark sounded out that Taima lifted her head. Silhouetted against the gray light that filtered into the underground burrow, one of her siblings sat up and she blinked as she watched him stumble back. She, too, gave a jolt as a baritone song gently pierced the air. It made her ears fold back but as her brother began to ascend the climbing tunnel, they perked up again.

Clambering over a pile of cool earth and a couple of pairs of stocky legs, she stalked after Renier, keeping her body low at first before crawling on her elbows and stopping short of bumping into him when he first realized who had been howling outside the den. Her thin tail wriggled about behind her as she tried to peer around his shoulder without being seen, but when he bolted out to greet the supposed Guardian outside, she furrowed a brow and stood up. She stuck her head outside of the den entrance, just as Renier had at first. Though the sun was tucked away behind a cover of clouds her eyes narrowed before blinking fully open as her vision adjusted to the light.

There, atop the small knoll sat her father and her brother, who had apparently approached him without hesitation. Her tail and head rose and she strolled up to them with a few unsteady steps and a smile stretched across her muzzle. An eager whine lifted from her throat as she stood beside Renier, her head tilted upward in order to fully see Borden's face. She hadn't noticed the dark-pelted wolf until her nose finally distinguished there was an unfamiliar scent nearby. Her blue eyes shifted to the side, eyeing Follko with raised brows. <i>Hmm.</i> After only being exposed to her immediate family - clad in earthen-hued markings and frosted-silver and blonde pelts - this curious black-coated male was quite a sight to behold. Her head tilted curiously, staring at him at first before <i>yipping</i> at him twice to see if he would react further to their emergence.</blockquote>

Sibyl Balik

It was embarrassing that she had been here for a few months now, and could still get turned around and disoriented so easily. Just as she was starting to feel a little lost – How did she get lost so easily anyways? – A silky howl trailed its way across the treetops. She tilted her head, reddish ears flicking towards the noise. She recognized it as Borden, her leader, requesting the pack’s presence to those who might be around to hear it. Well, she wasn’t doing anything important anyways.

She dashed off in the direction of the noise, and while she was farther than she expected she finally arrived at the clearing of the den. As she approached she slowed her steps and sunk down, ears and tail low but her neck extended curiously. Already it seemed one wolf had heeded the call, who was now sitting and watching the… pups? She had almost forgotten that they would be around this time of year. Sibyl’s tail started to wag unconsciously, and she smiled at the sight of the two fuzz balls just starting to explore the world outside of the den. She had had little experience with pups, the year of her life spent as a nomad afforded her no opportunity to see them, but she was quite fond of them. Most things in Sibyl’s world were scary, unknown, intimidating. Pups were none of those things, just small, cute, and playful.

Sibyl carefully moved forward and stopped just behind Follko. Her head was tilted and she was watching the pups curiously, eyes darting between the children and Borden to make sure she crossed no boundaries. The pups were standing beneath their father, one splayed at his feet after misjudging a leap and the other yipping towards Follko, already testing her world. Again Sibyl’s tail picked up its swinging pace, how cute these little things were!

Borden Lyall
<blockquote>His howl had not gone unheeded. Within a matter of moments something shuffled within the old, spacious burrow and soon after, something bumped into his hind leg. He turned to look over his shoulder, gazing down to find his son, the bear-like Renier, near his tail. A smile lifted the corners of his mouth and his ears turned forward in mere curiosity before relaxing. Before he could stand to turn around and assure the boy that he was all right (in case the impact had given him quite a shock), Follko and another pup, the girl who was nearly identical to her brother, had emerged.

The leader turned his attention to Follko first, continuing to smile in approval of the male's respectful approach. The space he had allowed between his chosen spot and the den entrance was far enough away and the subordinate's choice of sitting, pleased him further. Next to arrive was Sibyl, another wolf who had helped with the old bull moose a few weeks ago. He eyed her quietly as she, too, cautiously came closer, following Follko's example. His attention drew back to Taima as she barked at her visitors and he slowly stood up to graze his nose against the space between her ears and check up on how Renier was holding up.

His tail wagged as he gently licked the side of Renier's muzzle, then after returning his attention to Follko and Sibyl, gave them each a nod to gesture they could come little closer. Just close enough for the little ones to greet and not have to walk as far. The cubs were still mastering their motor skills, but there was no need to have them expend all their energy on walking or to keep the pack farther away than they needed to be. These two wolves in particular, on the other hand, had proven to him that the Hollow still held strength, obedience, among its ranks. They, above any others, deserved to be the first to meet the pack's most prized assets - the four promises of Grizzly Hollow's <span class='word'>instauration</span>.</blockquote>

Renier Lyall
<blockquote>He falls to his rump, and the tiniest of squeaks escape his throat. He shakes his head in efforts to fix his balance, and pulls himself to a stand. It takes less than a second for his grin to return to his face, and his tail to fan behind him. There was suddenly a tall stranger there, his coat was smokey grey with hints of black. He briefly caught the words of the elder wolf, and his dark masked face titled most bemused by what he was saying. It went straight over his head, and he exchanged glances with Borden and Taima before letting his blue eyes settle upon the unknown. Renier was not all that certain, but with sharp eyes he studies the fellow wolf. There was no alarm from his father, and his sister, to his surprise, greets the stranger with high notes. His ears perch higher on his dark brown skull, and his eyes narrow if only so to gauge the fellow's reaction. Instead he had no time to pay attention as another wolf he had not really noticed before made her way into the clearing.

This day was so strange, and the questions were whirling in his mind, playing in his eyes. What was this all about? Had father called them? He was aware howls were for talking, but the idea of it all was...<i>strange</i>. Yet, why wouldn't his father be able to? Renier might not (not yet any way), but it did seem silly to question the abilities of his father. This had to only be a limit to what he could accomplish. Again the boy was reminded there was so much to learn. Sometimes he wasn't sure what else would fit in his head. Each day he was taking in all he could, which seemed like a great deal each day, and he wasn't sure if he would run out of room or if he would remember it all. Fasicanted, truelly he was by it all he wasn't sure where to begin. Should he yip to? Should he try to howl like his father to attempt to call more wolves? He wanted to get his mother out here, and Ryvet. It was then he knew what he wanted to do first.

Shifting his weight between his limbs, he prepared himself and sucked in a deep breathe. The young lad was tipping his nose up, high, high, high, and then he sang an somewhat deep <i>aroooo</i> for his mother, brother, and even little Calla. They should be here too. There was too much not to miss this! Proud of his own song, he carried himself past his father with no fear, with his chin up, and nostrils flairing. The new wolves were familiar and yet so different of scents he wanted to figure out why. It was to the oldest male he reached first. He glanced up, and let out a short yip. It was nothing testing, just a hello of sorts. Then he turned to the lady, letting out another light bark.</blockquote>

Follko Theizkei
Follko continued watching the first little male pup as he
sat looking around at the world. Then when Sibyl showed up
the elder gave a curt nod in greeting to the gray female. After the boy
pup finished studying Follko another little one ran up and out of the den.
The elder looked over the next puppy, a female, and nodded his head
approvingly as she barked a hello to him.
"They are both fine pups Borden." Follko was watching the little female
as she looked about with no fear. Her chin was raised high just as her brothers.

Once Borden gave him a nod to come closer Follko stepped nearer to the pups.
He looked over their bright eyes and marveled at their thick limbs. Then cautiously he
layed down where he was and stretched out his nose invitingly to the two little ones.
Which one will greet me first? And which one will try to start trouble first? Who's
the smartest little one, and who's the bravest? I guess I will find out soon enough...
He
wagged his tail invitingly and gave the pups a small smile.
"You needn't be afriad of an old bag of bones like me." He knew they wouldn't understand
the words too well but they should understand the calm assuring voice that came
with those words. "No threat here" Should be their understanding.

Taima Lyall Avelin
<blockquote>The girl's ears drew back as Follko reacted, his nod making her cant her head to one side. She gazed up at her father, slow to respond in reaction to feeling his comforting touch at the top of her skull. It wasn't until Renier howled that her eyes drew back to him, a small note escaping from her throat in some sort of hum in reply. As soon as her brother started to toddle away, Taima's wagging tail stilled and her ears perked up once more. She raised a forepaw awkwardly at first, but as soon as she placed it in front of the other she was off.

Follko stepped forward and Taima easily misjudged the distance it took to reach him. She ran past his forelimb then rounded back to try and lightly barrel into her brother, striving to drape an arm around him in order to lift her nose to the older male's cheeks. When Follko began to speak, she backed down with her tongue lolling from her mouth. The words tumbled over her but she understood by body language alone that the gentle giant meant no harm, especially with her father present. <b>"ROO!"</b> she chirped, smiling from ear to ear in a silly manner as she jumped in attempt to lap at Follko's nose. Though her spring was small with her hind legs not even lifting her three inches off the ground, she propelled herself backwards and rolled onto her back. A playful growl vibrated in her chest and she turned to Sibyl after noticing how keenly her bronze eyes had focused on her and Renier.

Tucking her paws to her chest, she made no attempt to roll over onto her feet, and instead, cheekily stuck her bright pink tongue out at her.</blockquote>

<i>edit: sorry, had some PP going on there. Hyper Taima is hyper... >_> Fixed now, I hope?</i>

Follko had made himself comfortable, sprawling on the ground amid the pups. She figured she might as well get settled in too. Carefully, she lowered her hindquarters to the ground and sat. The tiny male had decided that now was a good time to try out a howl, and Sibyl smiled at the sight, an amused expression on her face. The little male then puffed himself up and strode towards her and Follko, which the pup then yipped at the two. Sibyl lowered her snout and leaned forward towards him, sniffing to make sure she set the pups' scent to memory.

As Taima scampered all over the dark colored elder, Sibyl giggled quietly at the sight. She flinched as Taima tumbled onto her back, and Sibyl leaned forward, almost rising to her feet to make sure the girl wasn't injured. The girl's little growl reassured Sibyl that all was well, however, and Sibyl sat back down. The girl then fixed Sibyl with her puppy blue eyes, and stuck out her tongue. Sibyl gave a silly smile back in response, with her tongue hanging out the side of her mouth. Her tail flopped happily back and forth across the ground, a visual cue of good humor. She realized that with Borden and Follko there she probably looked like a nut though, and clamped her mouth back shut. Carefully, she turned to Borden, "What's their names? Are there more of them?" she asked cautiously.
