After hearing the fur being ripped roughly from ash he spit it to the ground with disdain. He growled in frustration looking for an opening as the female spoke her venomous words. He knew nothing of Nina's past family but that mattered nothing to him, this was personal. He didn't bother answering the thick headed female, she did not understand the betrayal and failure he had felt for trusting ash. He was better off to let her believe in her little fantasy. Live was almost never honorable, he had learned that many times at a young age. His abusive pack and that winter before joining the creak wolves, almost nothing had been merciful or fair to him. The words were broken as the female leaped towards Koda. He had no time to think it was now or never, as soon as her front legs left the ground he leaped towards her side in order to knock her away from Koda and hopefully hurt her enough to scare her away.

I don't have time to post Ash at the moment. I will post him when I have time.

Now she was officially in the cheery orchards. . .a place that always made her uneasy. The cherries were red, reminding her of the blood that had been spilt from her when her brother had attacked her. She was healed now though. . .and she was slowly regaining her strength. No meat had been stored in her meals lately, due to her inability to hunt for herself. . .and she had not thought to ask any of her pack mates, it fears they would think of her useless. She had been living off of berries, but these cherries could not be eaten, for they were highly poisonous.

She was recovering fairly well, in her eye, for her leg had healed enough so to that she wouldn’t walk with a limp. Running would cause another injury and Nina didn’t want that, so she refused to run unless it was a dire emergency. Her scabs had turned into pink and white scars that couldn’t be taken away and her eye had healed, more or less. She still couldn’t open it and it had a large pink scar on the eye. Nothing she could do about that. . .but she knew that the worst thing that had been phased when the attack had happened, was her own personality. Her own thoughts were interrupted by snarls, yells, and yelps. She wanted to stay far away from it but she knew the voices. . .all four of the voices and her face paled. She knew two of those voices like her own injuries. . .Koda and Kashikoi, along with Ash and Treena in the background.

Her heart started pumping furiously and her paw steps sped up slightly. She was getting close and could easily hear it. For a bunch of wolves they were sure being loud. When she entered the clearing chaos was before her own eye and betrayal flashed in her emerald orb. Why had they fought with one another? Koda and Kashikoi had promised her. She watched in horror with Kashi and Koda on one side with Treena and Ash on another. . .and she was briefly frozen in fear. Ash had just gotten away from Kash and Treena was going for Koda. And then her eye flickered back to Kashikoi. . .he was going for Treena and her eyes flickered in anger. Her mind was screaming at her instantly, Don’t let him touch her! And so she didn’t. She launched herself at the two of them and slide into Treena’s side, taking the hit from Kashikoi, and listening to Koda’s snarl echo through the area.

And the spell was broken. . .Ash knew that se wasn’t in the family anymore, and that meant that his duty to Father was over. The hit she had taken had hurt her though and she winced and she straightened up. She was standing next to Treena, their heights equal and build about the same. The golden brown female soon straightened up, her tail and ears high, posture stiff, and eye blazing in anger. "That is enough! From all of you," the angry snarl came out of the small fae’s mouth. All of the wolves she loved were put together in a fight because of her and she would not allow that. Enough. . .was enough.

She believed in him and that was all that mattered to him, but his own romantic thoughts would have to wait at the moment. Treena was once again on the move, trying to attack Koda. Much snarling and happenings were going on but Koda’s words cut out to him like a rose thorn. Nina wasn’t a Hervok anymore. . .and like that the spell was broken. No more oath to his father, as the clan’s code said, nothing could stop the future for him from changing. Her tail curled though, he wouldn’t have any other duties from his father any longer. Nothing could make him kill his sister now without thinking of himself as a murderer.

And just as if his own thoughts had summoned her, she appeared. Golden brown fur in all her glory and one emerald eye blazing. . .she was furious. He took her in as he saw the full affects of the damage that he had caused her and a feeling of dread passed through him. He had caused all of those injuries and just because he had given an oath to his father at an early age and couldn’t back out of it. . .but now it was broken, his smaller sister could be free of him. And just as if it was in slow motion her paws slid her down next to his mate, taking a hit from Kashikoi. . .her own pack mate. To protect Treena?

He had heard from his mate that she had bonded with his sister and that they had almost been pack mates until Treena had made the mistake of almost taking the leader’s muzzle off. But to the point to where Nina would have taken a hit to protect her? If anything the golden fae looked even more pissed than she had before. Her voice shocked him though. . .he had never heard her use a voice as loud as she one she was using. She was snarling and the ugly Nina he had heard about appeared. The one that could tear a creature limb from limb. . .the one that had a voice that from miles apart one could hear. She was no longer Nina the healer he had heard about. . .she was once again Nina the fighter he had heard his father speak of, only she didn’t attack. And the control. . .it gained her high respects from Ash, once again.
I think I've finally seen the light..in you.

That one green eye, it scared the crap out of Treena. Not because it was unnatural, or deformed, but because the pain must have been intolerable. Treena looked into that eye and she felt nothing anymore. At that moment, everything around her froze, she watched Nina enter, and then pounce. At first the timber female thought she was the target, and that Nina was coming for her. That was why she lowered her body in a defensive way, willing to take the hit. She would not fight a sister.

It came as a nice surprise when things ended differently. Nina had not been an attacker. She had been a defender. Everything was quick, the female’s words quieting the forest. Treena didn’t speak, she didn’t have to. Her eyes begged for forgiveness, her head lowered and tail tucked. She pressed up against Ash, chest rising and falling heavily. Blood covered the ground, some hers, some not. Fighting was a stupid thing to do. It didn’t take long for a wound to get infected, or to break a bone. Chances like that shouldn’t be taken, and yet they had been. Treena had gotten off easy. Some scars here and there, but nothing life-threatening. She could still run, jump, and climb mountains. She wouldn’t go home weak. Nina was to thank for that. Had Kashi made contact, Treena would have been leaving there a lot worse. Now, it was Nina who was in pain, again.

<b>“Thank you.”</b> The strong words had an extremely deep meaning. The female raised her muzzle towards Nina and genuinely cared. She thanked Nina not only for blocking the attack, but for stopping it all, for making this rivalry over. It was done. There was nothing left to gain or lose. She loved Nina. Nina had offered her a home, a life. They could be sisters now.

Koda Reinier
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/bluepups/KodaTable.png);background-position:top center; background-repeat:no-repeat; padding-top: 200px;padding-bottom: 20px; padding-left: 15px; padding-right: 15px; text-align:justify;">After his incredible revelation, so much happened so fast and yet, still seemed to go by in slow motion. With his words, Ash appeared to snap out of some sort of spell and seemed to halt his attack. With amazement, Koda realized that Nina had been right. It was all because of a name. The craziness of such a thing left him reeling. Ash had spent who knows how long of his life chasing after Nina because she was a Hervok and his sire demanded it of him. Now that that promise had apparently been broken, the wolf looked like he was waking up from a dream, especially when a golden brown form appeared almost as if out of the air.

Koda whirled towards his love, but gasped when he saw her fly in front of Treena, cleary to take the hit meant for her by her own pack mate and friend Kashikoi. It was just the sort of thing that a wolf with a heart as big as hers would do. She had never wanted any of this and was not going to let them hurt each other any longer. When she roared out for them all to just stop, his golden eyes went wide, while his heart swelled with love and pride for her. The golden avenging angel before them would not allow this to go any further. With her demand and her incredible presence, she had stopped it all as effectively as a parent picking each of them up by the scruff, causing them to go limp with obedience like naughty pups.

He had promised not to harm Ash and he was sure that she had exacted a similar promise from Kashikoi. He was as disappointed in himself as she must be. Ash had made the first move and his female had blindly followed his lead, but Koda had let his own raging anger at the other male carry him along in the tide of the battle. He should have just walked away, but he honestly didn't think that Ash would have allowed that to happen. The problem was... he hadn't even tried. He had let his sweet Nina down.

Now, any thoughts for Ash, his woman, or even Kashi vanished from his mind. Because of this fight, Nina was hurt again. She hadn't even recovered from the violent attack of her brother and now she took a solid blow to protect one of them. She stood tall and irate with their behavior, but he knew that she had to be gasping in pain beneath her glorious strength. Without even knowing how he got there, he was by her side, his head lowered to nuzzle her in apology and worry for her. He gave a low whine of concern for her and whispered to her, "I am so sorry, my love. Are you all right?" His heartfelt concern and his eternal love for her burning in his dark golden eyes.

It was like time slowed to a standstill in his mind. He was flying through the air towards the female then a wolf with one eye flew out in front of her. <i>Nina!</i> Then just as soon as time had seemed to slow, it cruelly sped up again. Their was no stopping the hit as he hit her flank with his jaw. No, why did this have to happen? he had attacked his best friend, possibly the only friend he truthfully had. He had disobeyed her wishes yet it was Ash who had attacked first. Kashi stumbled back locked in shock of what he had done to Nina, What he was going to do to the other female. Why had she jumped in front of him? The young wolf couldn't make left or right of what had happened, all he knew is that he hurt Nina.

He felt like a monster worse than ash, she was right, this wasn't the path of a healer. Just as soon as Nina appeared the fight had stopped immediately. <b>"I..I... am sorry Nina, I failed your trust as a friend..."</b> It was out now, the horrible ugly truth was out now. He couldn't even think straight. He wouldn't of been surprised if his friend bit him to teach him a lesson, nor would he stop her. Blood, broken bones and lost souls, that's all that fighting would ever lead to it seemed. In the heat of the battle Kashi had actually pictured his enemies as wolves from his old pack, why couldn't his past leave him alone?

Her mission to stop the fighting had been successful. Everyone had stopped fighting. . .but now all eyes were on her. It didn’t seem right that she was the one that had to stop this. It had been them fighting, and she could barely run as it was. She couldn’t hunt and she definitely could not run. With a small frown plastered on her face she watched as Treena shrunk away, towards Ash. Koda seemed to finally wake up and realize that he had been fighting and Kashikoi. . .he just looked like he had his heart broken. All because of her. They had woken up from their dream state finally and confronted reality. Fighting was not the way to do things, and Nina knew that they would understand that.

Soon Treena came forward, Nina’s one emerald eye painfully on her. She had taken a hard hit, even though Kashikoi was small, her build up for it with his killer speed. And she had once again taken a hit for young Treena. The golden brown female’s eye remained on the creamy girl until she was in front of her. It seemed that now Ash and Treena were together, and she was happy for the female. It seemed they ended up being family no matter what. When her words rang through the now quieted forest, she smiled at the young girl, and like she had done so many time before with her mother, when another was accepted into the family, she bent done and bit firmly but softly on her muzzle before smoothing it down with her tongue in acceptance to her family. She still cared about Treena. . .and she would still protect her, just as she always had.

When she was approached by Koda she gave him a quick look. He was worried about her and once again stressed that she was injured. That caused her frown to deepen, and all she could give her mate was a brisk nod in okay before moving down to Kashikoi. He seemed to be in the worse shape in the pair of two she had already seen. She had not yet to see what Ash looked like. . .but it seemed Kash was much worse. He just seemed broken, as if Nina could touch him and he would just break. Her kind eye watched in concern as he almost seemed to whimper out to him. She was no longer angry. . .she couldn’t contain her anger enough to finish this, now all she was feeling was remorse. Her head snaked down to the younger male, nuzzling him gently, showing him that it was alright and that she forgave him. All would be alright.

Her eyes then took in her brother, and was filled with terror at what she saw. Nicks and cuts covered his body, but what she could not stomach was his paw. It was broken, but not twisted at an awkward angle, which was a good sign. He definitely did have broken bones in his paw, nothing a healer couldn’t fix. . .not her though, her medical knowledge had been blown over her mind after the attack. Her memory was foggy when it came to herbs. Simple things could easily come back to her but nothing more than that. Right now she would have to ask politely if Kashikoi would do it, but she didn’t want to say anything out loud. She simply stared at Ash’s paw. . .sadness trickling in through her every vein.

His stance became protective immediately after he felt Treena’s pelt brush against his. All at once he was in motion and towering over her. No one would be able to touch her. . .but it seemed his sister was going to prove him wrong easily. Soon his wonderful mate was making her way towards the golden brown female, her tail low and in slight submission. Had he missed something? Confusion was evident in his eyes as he stared at the pairs before him. It was his time to talk he suppose. "I‘m sorry, my dear sister. Father. . .was surely wrong about you."

He politely dipped his head towards his sister after that. They were now going to be on peaceful terms. . .and he wouldn’t go as far as say be a family. . .but he supposed by the way Nina was acting towards Treena that they already had some kind of secret pact that he didn’t know about. He felt completely out of the loop, and it seemed his sister was going out of her way not to look at him. . .it he turned out being wrong again, for her one good eye soon turned to him. There was no anger within it, just remorse, sadness. Was it because of what he had done, or something more? Her eyes were strictly on him, and his heart lurched.

Perhaps his father had been wrong. . .wrong about everything. Nina was a sweet little angel who would help anyone. Koda could have been completely right about her. . .she was just another innocent life that wanted to live. . .only, it seemed, the fae helped others more than she helped herself. Considering her current condition, and the hit she had taken, it was clear that now she would definitely need more time to recover. .but what shocked him the most was that she wasn’t even angry. She was just upset that they had all ended up fighting one another.
