The volant leaves could be very UTILE if this was a mission, they could be used as camouflage, but this was no special mission. simply Shade going to see his sister. The leaves crunched at his feet, the forest spreading, the rabbits leaping at fast speeds. Very little prey out near him today. good thing he was not here to hunt, or Elettra would have his hide for how little prey there was. His eyes looking around. Shade's ears perked up, his muzzle opened slightly and his nose sniffing for any signs of his sister. His neck craned around to see if any signs of her were present. No signs what-so-ever. His feet drudging forward his tail dragging. Was there no hope of finding her? His muscles hard from training up in the cold mountains with Rosealia. His eyes, they're stunning chocolate brown that looked around for any sign of wolf at all. His thought processes thinking about her. He hadn't seen her since running into Jacob Thorben. It worried him to death, to think that, that wolf might have been deadly, a stranger that would harm her. Then he remembered the kind soul that had healed her, she would know where her patient was. But then again, e'd heard recent news of Nina in Willow Ridge getting help for her leg. His scents must be fooling with him, he detected Shadowstorm heading off the territory. this had to be wrong.<b style="color:#8e989d">"speech." |

Sorry it took me so long to reply! <3 I completely forgot about this thread!

It was wonderful to be home, despite everything she had missed and the small losses along the way, but otherwise she had been trying her best to look at the positives. One of her patients, one that had been within their borders for quite awhile had left them. And it was as if Nina had suddenly known what it felt like to have completely been betrayed by another. As if an oath that had been given to her had been completely broken and shattered. As her paws made their way towards the border, she was pleased with the way her leg had turned out. Her limp was hardly noticeable, and if anyone would have noticed it, it would probably only be noticeable by which of a healer’s eye. Her right eye was still shut, with little success in trying to get it to open.
When she finally got on the brink of her border’s her wars lifted and she quickly scented the air. Her muscles in her back froze and her lips pulled back slightly. The Copper Rock Creek scent was highly noticeable when another would step on it. If you weren’t use to the wonderful smell, it might as well have made a blocked border for you anyway. Her fangs were easily noticeable when she growled at a warning to the familiar scent. She knew exactly who it was. . .it was Shade, Shadowstorm’s brother. What would he be doing here? She was sure that he would have heard about his sister already. Her emerald eye remained sharp and her growl cut through the silence as his golden shape merged, "You are quite close to the borders, sir."

http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j347/holdbacktherain/sets/shadetable.png) bottom center no-repeat; background-color: #c7b49b;"> "You are quite close to the borders, sir." The words stung, as if nor obvious that he was here to see Shadowstorm. His entire face looked slightly dazed and confused for a second. <b style="color:#8e989d">"It's been a while since I've seen Shadowstorm, I came so I could talk to her." He stated, he meant no harm, he knew he was too close to the borders to the liking of most. But he had to see her. He wondered if Nina's leg had headed, he hadn't noticed the limp that made it evidently clear last time of her injury. His thoughts running back to Shadowstorm, if Nina had a confused look, had something happened to Shadow? Had his sister left? Or was she killed by something. The thoughts too heavy to bear. A clear fear for the well being of his sister was evident. As much as he tried to hide it, he knew it to be a suicidal task. If ha learned at least one thing at the willows, it was hide not your emotions in your soul, but the way you express your fears. It made Shade wonder if Copper Rock Creek had some part in this if it had indeed happened. His eyes looked as if a tsunami had struck. Making him wonder. What have you done? |

So he didn’t know? She was sure that the black female had told her she was going to look for her brother to tell Shade of the news of her leaving. Apparently, she had either lied or had chickened out. . .and Nina was literally hoping that it would have been the later. Her head continued in its perched position while she stared at the Willow Ridge member in front of her. She hadn’t trusted him for some odd reason and when she heard about Ari the distrust had grown considerably. Her head shook slightly and her voice rang in an orderly manner, "She is no longer here, she deserted us. Sorry, last time I heard she was heading towards you."
Her tail swept around her behind her gradually, she then turned slightly to the side. Where was Shadowstorm if she had disappeared? Disappearing is not a good thing when it came to the Creek. Usually when you disappear once you never return again. It was a sad thought, but she supposed that if they wouldn’t have left in the first place it would have never happened anyways. She sighed slightly, her eye drooping slightly, exhaustion wearing down her bones. It didn’t matter, she just wanted this man away from her lands unless he found another reason to be there.

<i>"She is no longer here, she deserted us. Sorry, last time I heard she was heading towards you." </i> Near him? No, he knew what had happened. <b>"I know where she is. Follko."</b> He muttered, just loud enough for his voice to carry to Nina so she might have heard. He immediately shut his muzzle. He didn't want to hurt her feelings that Shadowstorm left her and her packs protection from an offer she got from a friend to join a different pack. She was now with Grizzly Hollow. <b>”Thank you for the information. I know where she is now.”</b> He said calmly. His eyes emotionless, he was quite disappointed that she'd left cooper Rock Creek so soon after they'd gone out of they're way to help her.
He dipped his head in respect, for some reason, she didn't seem to trust him. <b>”If you don't mind, before I go, why is it you hate me? We've barely talked and it's like I've done something to harm you. Also, I have a suspicion, but I would need you to confirm it. Are Koda and Elettra mates? Or are you Koda's mate?”</b> He said, confusion in his eyes. This was his chance, to find out the truth of her mistrust about everything. He highly respected Koda, even Elettra, though she still scared him. But if this was true, he and Rosealia would be the only mated pair in Willow Ridge, which would explain the slight intimidation he was suspicious that Elettra felt.

She had deserted them for another? Her one emerald eye remained cold, but inside it felt as if her stomach had flipped, and her heart was suddenly beating three times as fast and it ached. She had helped the black female so that she could live her life strongly and now she had left them for another whom she didn’t even know. Who was this man or lady? She nodded briefly towards Shade and was about to take her leave when his voice snaked out to her again. She would not make the same slip up she had when she was with Narimé in the confinements of Willow Ridge. She no longer had to worry about being high on herbs, so could once again think and process things. His question echoed in her head and she raised it in dominance. Was it honestly his place to be asking such questions on her pack lands? None the less, she would answer one of them.
When her voice rang clear, it was sharp and cold, but it was only one name, "Ari." She snapped at him. She had heard the story of what the male had done to the poor thing. Nina had been happy to help out the young female when she had been pronounced injured. She pointedly ignored the second question plain out and blunt. The answer to the question was none of his business, and Nina would not be stupid and blow their cover again. Her tail was stiff and high with her ears pricked forward. It was a stance that she had seen Ruiko and Aeylen use upon loners countless of times, along with Volkan and Kashikoi, and she never thought she would have to gauge it until now.

<i>"Ari."</i> The one word he wished to never hear again. Ari, the one whom he'd beaten up, it had been a different time back then. <b>"I-I can explain Nina."</b> He blurted out. He was a different wolf. Not as violent now, he realized how wrong he was about the packs. His eyes now full of sorrow as he took off running, he couldn't let her see him cry now could he? Hoping she didn't follow him for the answer he promised. He had been too strong for too long. He had to cry. About everything, Rose, Ari, all the mistakes he'd made in his fucked up life.
He ran an ran, as far away from the spring as he could get. Back to the Willows. He had to come even with Koda and Elettra. They had to know, or they'd find out eventually. Nina had strong roots with the pack. Learner to Elettra once he'd heard rumors of. Friends, or even mates with Koda. They had to know the truth. He'd not show a sad face. He regretted it, but not that much.
(I am so sorry this is a short post, a short thread in general depending on ninas reaction. Exit if Nina doesn't chase after him)

Her brown ears flicked and her emerald eye gazed upon him. When no more words came out of his mouth and he took off, she sighed. Now she just felt bad. . . Her paws hesitantly made their way forward. She did not take off though, but instead she walked out of her borders, limping slightly in the direction he was headed. She knew she wouldn’t be able to catch up, but walking outside of her own borders and calling him back was the only other thing she could think of doing. Her muzzle lifted to the sky and she let out a welcoming howl, giving him permission to once again return to her lands.
She then sat and waited. If he returned then perhaps they could talk. . .but if he didn’t, she knew she would have to go and report something to Koda. . .if time allowed. Her nose wrinkled slightly before she sneezed and covered her muzzle at the same time. How exhausting her return had been, she hadn’t even been back for awhile and exhaustion was already starting to show under her eyes. Bags clunk to her like mosquitoes in the summer and she was going to try to get some rest, and if that wouldn’t happen then using some herbs to make her sleep would be the final outcome.

Shade had stopped running, curled up, half hidden by the protection of a log. Staring out into open space, his eyes cold, sorrowful. He regretted every word that was a lie. He regretted every claw that touched Ari's pelt. But he could not unwind the past. He was sobbing in a way. Since he didn't have tear ducts, he couldn't cry a tear, but he felt like he could if he did. He was scared. Scared to admit he had once been a monster, looking to claw and maim his way through the world. shame filled him. He caught the faintest scent of Nina limping after him, had she really just followed him to rub it in more? Really? Was the necessary? He already had had enough emotion for one day.
<b>"What? Come to shove my dark past in my face more did you? I suppose I can consider myself packless again."</b> He said, sorrow obvious in his voice. his first real home being taken because of his fathers teachings. <b>"But you wouldn't understand what I had to go through as a pup, or a yearling. No one ever does. Not even my mate did. So she went off and met other guys. Now I'm forced to be around her because she's a packmate, I can barely even look her in the eye. she doesn't have the nerve to tell me, but I know, I've seen it. She pretends to still love me. Of course I still love her. But for her... it's just not real love. now this comes back to bite me in the ass and drive me from my first real home. So congratulations."</b> he hadn't meant for it to sound harsh, but raw emotion was coming out of him, he didn't even have time to think before he spoke.
He completely hated himself. He wanted to die. He wanted to not have to put up with this crap anymore. He would end his own life if he had too.

She listened carefully, her rump planting itself on the ground in silence as the rant continued. She was quite shocked to hear the news on his mate. . .and in the pack. She dare not mess with her mate. Her head tilted slightly, her head raising itself to meet his gaze. He seemed lost. . .as if he were going insane. She knew she could help, and her ears received what he had said about Ari. She had been quite worried about how things would have worked out, but even she remembered her own brother. The scars she had been left with because of him. But even she, marked with the memory, knew that he was a good man and that he had much good in him that he could show to the whole world.
Her mouth clenched anger at the thoughts ranging through her head. She could understand. . .but what had happened to Shade had certainly not been deserved. Her brown fur blew in the breeze and her head looked down upon the crumpled figure. "That was not something you deserved. Koda and Elettra do not know. Koda and I. . .are mates, but it would be best if you kept that to yourself. . ." She sighed, her eye watching him closely. The poor guy must have been through much in the past few days, and Nina felt slightly bad for adding onto his stress. She stepped towards him and then lowered her head, pressing her nose against his cheek in a comforting, friendly gesture.
