She was cold. She was hungry. She was no longer thirsty. No, Anne had found a water source not too far away. However most of all, Terra Anne was scared...
Not long after she had started searching for a human road again than did Terra find herself padding through a whole host of wolf scents. Frankly it scared her so much that she had to relieve herself right near the wolfs border. She glanced around gazing at the Salix willow tree species that grew heavily in this forest. That means the water table is high here. It will flood a lot during rainy seasons... She shoved the tid bit of information into the back of her mind where all of the other useless nature facts were stored.
The young wolf had no clue what a wolf border was. She knew not the rules of wolf society. All she knew was that wild wolves were dangerous. That they could rip her to shreds in an instant. Thinking back on her prior meetings with other wolves Anne remembered that they had not attacked her. Even after running away from them she wondered why they had not attacked her. One wolf even tried to give her a rabbit as a present. But why? She lurked slowly further and further into Willow Ridge territory not knowing how dangerously close she was getting to the den.
The only thing that saved her from blundering right in on the den was the increasing wolf scent. It unnerved the female causing her to change direction. I really don't want to meet any more wolves.. She whimpered a bit then felt a little more at ease as the wolf scent drifted away. She seemed to realize that she wasn't in the right place. Anne couldn't believe there was so many different wolf scents in this one area. Even if the scents she smelled now were older. Picking up her pace the yearling ran still trying to find her way out of this wolf ridden forest. She didn't realize that she was going in circles still in the middle of Willow Ridge territory.
