Ever since he had risen up to the challenge as alpha, Ash had done his best to fit his role well and he thought for the most part, he did well. It still felt odd to him though, being at the top and not having a position to actually guard. It was what he had done with Tlarx for so long and he had enjoyed himself. Slinking along silently, always on the alert and watching his pack mates. It had become a thrill to him to watch them make fools of themselves while Ash was watching them, silently giving them all strikes. Of course, this was an unsaid system between both Athena and Ash, not even Tlarx had known of the pairs system when it came to the strikes that the guardian would give to members here and there. Of course, even if the members who did receive strikes did almost reach three, they never stuck around long enough to receive a third one. Those were the ones who always ended up deserting Poison Path due to the fact that they could not keep up with them or they were too “hard core.”
With a small sigh, he physically shook his head, before his attention became stolen by Eden, Poison Path’s newest member. The day prior, the alpha had also heard the call from the man, though yesterday it had been a different member. Apparently, Eden seemed to want to rise up in the ranks and was doing it quite quickly. If he had not had been so busy the day before, perhaps he would have arrived upon the scene of Kamota and Eden, just to make sure the fight had not turned out much like Chantille and the bitch’s challenge had turned out. A death was not something Poison Path could afford. Nor were many injuries. With a small sigh, he started making his way towards the call had sounded, his paws barely whispering against the mountain floor. How long had it been now since he had first arrived in the mountains? Almost a year perhaps?
Much had already ensued in his life, and at the moment, though he was not enjoying himself, was happy he had found himself in the Lore…even if it was for a bad cause. He was now making up for his wrong doings for his good deeds. When he arrived upon the scene, he kept himself hidden and in the shadows, making sure that his scent was not being blown towards the pair gathered. It was one thing his dark pelt and eyes granted him with, an easy shadow. He blended in easily with the mountain and its foliage. Now it was just simply the fact of the challenge. Eden was challenging Steel, that much was obvious, and it seemed by the way that the challenger held himself, not injuries had tampered him down. So Kamota had stepped down…what a coward, though Ash could not complain, the less blood that was split was better, but the alpha knew Steel and he knew that the burly man would not back down from someone who did not earn something. And so, the ghost looked on, waiting patiently to see how the second would do against the newcomer.
