Unsure of where Tempest or Guiness were Nari guessed that the deer was still too fast for them, or perhaps they misjudged the time when they were supposed to attack. Throwing caution to the side the silver she wolf sprang forward aiming for the creatures throat. Her timing was right and her teeth snapped on the doe's throat. She let herself hang on its neck further slowing the creature down so that one of the thorbens might catch up to help her out. As it was just then the fight was only between Nari and the deer. Who's stamina would last the longest. This game was right up the silver wolfs alley.
A few minutes passed with the doe bucking and tripping forward over the silver hunter. Nari felt her legs get banged a few times by the deers own shins. She hoped it wouldn't roll forward to try and get her off though. Where was everyone? Nari's grip was failing and although the deer would definately die in a few days from blood loss or infection They would have to track it to wherever it had fleed to. That was if Nari let go. Which was something she really did not want to do.
The doe yanked itself sideways and Narimé got a clear view of Phineas white coat. She hoped he was okay but hoped all the more that Narimé would not get injured when she had to let go. Her jaw muscles burned like fire until she couldn't take it anymore. Tensing her legs to catch her the gray wolf let go and dropped to the ground. The doe kicked out at her nearly hitting the young woman in the head. Rolling sideways Nari narily dodged the strike and watched as the doe stumbled and leapt away.
Standing up the gray willow wolf shook out her fur and padded lazily over to Phineas. She nudged his shoulder with a concerned look in her eyes before stepping back and yawning to lessen the ache in her jaws.
"I guess we'll have to track it later. I'm pretty sure it won't be surviving too long with those injuries." She shrugged her shoulders then turned her blue gaze to the direction of the fleeing deer. She could see it struggling past the willows. I hope it doesn't go too far though.. Dissappointment was written all over her face.
