Willow Ridge hounds of war

This is a read only thread heavily back-dated to the 1st of march, the night Elettra returns from the 'mass meeting'. This is in regards who will be joining the fight or staying home. @Phineas would be offered to join, but I'm leaving it up to you. I know this is before El's breeding but I didn't know if you would have time or not. Whether the war ends up falling through or not, I still wanted to get this up for IC purposes.

It had been settled. The wolves of Relic Lore would go to war. Unlike any other pack on pack scuffle, this would be a full on extermination of those whom had come from over the mountains, bringing death and disease in their wake. Elettra had arrived home hours ago after her visit to the desolate lands of the Wildwood where the meeting had taken place with a plan ready for action. Those whom wished to join in the fight and those who were assigned by their leaders were to meet at the Bramble Falls in two days time after much needed food and rest for their venture. They would cross the mountains through the pass which had been created at this location, finally putting an end to the Aniwaya wolves. Each would be taken out, one by one, with the trail of the diseased avoided so they may possibly die out on their own from illness. Risk would be taken, should the infected cross their paths, but a risk necessary for the protection of not only Willow Ridge home, but all those within Relic Lore.
Elettra Archer calls out, howling to her pack mates in regards to this all, relaying a message for her pack mates to heed her and to come. It is here where she will speak to those whom arrive, assigning who would stay to protect their home and who would be joining the fight. Sica, Kiche, Kyrie and Tempest were all to remain behind. Elettra's two guardians @Guiness and @Hotei would be joining her side in the fight, as well as @Skana, her trusted Second and Advisor, sure to know a thing or two of battle tactic as well as her knowledge of this disease prior.

He paced the lands, unsettled that the dark leader had taken only Shade and Kiche. The two males were incompetent and untrustworthy in the mind of the ivory male, and his muscles remained tense as thoughts of what the outcome could be. It was nothing more than a gathering, yet, the male was uncertain what the diseased pack could do if they caught wind of such.. or what tensions lay between Willow Ridge and the other packs.

Only as he rounded the borders and caught the fresh scent of the lady of the Willows did the wolf relax slightly. He did not know how long she had sought safe haven in her own lands, but as her cry echoed across the lands of the Ridge wolves, he felt a reassurance that this would all come swiftly to an end.

She assigned them roles, and a frown marred the features of the male as he noticed his name missing from the list. Uncertainty swelled in his chest then, and without second thought, the Argyris male moved toward the direction of her voice, seeking her out and question the reasoning of this.

It took him only moments, and as he emerged from the foliage of the willows, his fiery eyes first surveyed her with a hint of worry, noting she was okay. “Lady Elettra,” he murmured, feeling a weariness fall over him.

Out steps Phineas, a constant pale shadow in her life. He was there in more ways she had come to realize until as of late. He had continuously moved his duties between hunting and scouting the pack boarders when he was not assigned to a specific tracking mission and even now he came to her aid when it was not demanded of him. His dedication would be missed greatly, should when he decided to leave to form a pack of his own, whenever this may be. She prayed much farther, then later, but knew the man craved a family she felt she could not offer him here, even if her interested in him peaked. He had not showed personal interest and so, her feelings remained at bay, as usual and now, with much more important manners to distract her. "You wonder of your place?" She could have only quickly have guessed, having not been mentioned on the list to ether stay, or go, in this fight. "I leave it to you, Phineas. Four have been chosen to stay and four, including myself, to fight. Your the middle man, and I would like you to do as you please." Though perhaps he felt uncertainty in his lack of assignment, Elettra was offering an open placement to do as he chose, most trusted due to her trust in him. Though she would feel more confidant with him at her side in combat, she also knew her home would be secure should he remain.

His sudden appearance did not seem to phase her nor surprise her – the swarthy leader regarded him quietly, as he did her, his fiery eyes taking in the curves that graced the she-wolf’s muscular frame. Beauty in the past to him had always been a female of delicate stature – perhaps to stroke his ego all the more, the fact that such a dove-like creature would need protection from him. Elettra was entirely different, and the ideals he held for their future were a constant on his mind now.

She seemed to understand why he had sought her out, and as his gaze remained riveted upon her figure, he took in her words with a stoical acceptance. Her words disturbed him – only if her description of middle man made it seem he held little importance to her. He took this in with a quiet vigilance, however, not once giving sway to any form of resentment to these thoughts. At the end of his stay at Willow Ridge, it would be made quite clear to him where he stood.

“I fight with you,” he affirmed, his tail giving a light swing as he shifted his large figure. There was never a doubt in his mind that this was the correct decision, not just because of her but because he would feel responsible for not aiding his pack members if something should happen to this; Skana and Guiness in particular, though he felt relieved at the thought of Tempest staying behind.

It was settled. He would fight. A smirk widened upon the edges of her mug at the thought, to see him at her side, to watch the wildness of his behavior come to light before her. With everything having fallen into place, they had only but to rest up. To feed, to sleep, and to ready themselves to meet at the Falls where the travel over the treacherous mountains would begin. Taking in a deep breath, Elettra moves towards Phineas, her grey-rimmed muzzle reaching out, made to touch at the upper portion of his nap, near the throat. It is a soft touch and just as brief. She pulls away, her tail a dancing flicker of a wave behind her before she returns, retreating to the den.
