A red-and-gray shape lingered through the trees, speeding up as it moved. The thick undergrowth left the wild brute, Tenzin, stumbling through the trees. He had wandered through the wildwood and hadn't found anyone too interesting there. But as soon as he set paw in this big chunk of trees, all he could do was think about the hum of the ground. It felt good at first, but now it began to worry him. His fur prickled with unease. He looked like a madman, but that was just what he was. No reason to hide it.

"Damnit!" He spluttered. He had slipped his paws into the five or six long vines hanging from the canopy. The plant had seemed to tighten on his wrists dangerously, threatening to take his paws off of his legs if he dared to move. With his ears perked, the man looked around to see if anyone had seen this little slip up. So far: no one, but if there was anyone, he did not see them peering over at him and snickering at his mistake.

Tenzin took a deep, exhausted breath and began to try and move his back legs into a sitting position. Unfortunately, he felt that familiar pull on both of his hind limbs. But on his right hind leg, he could see that the vine had tangled around in a circle several times. How did I even do this? There was no use in it now, because he was stuck here in this plant until someone came and helped him out of this mess.

There was only ONE problem. He didn't want any help. It was then that he decided not to take help, but instead, do it all himself. The scarred wolf paused to look down at the roots...vines...leaves...tangled confusingly at his large paws. Alright. I can do this.

Do you mind if I join you?
I'll set this before Rhys bumps into Marsh etc, so he won't have his memory back yet so any mention of Naira etc would do unnoticed. I just thought it would be nice to have them meet! <3 I'm also just assuming it is the far end of the territory here. I think I need to avoid an SR wolf run in so if one comes along I'll have him hightail it out of here. xD

<blockquote>He was close. He could smell them on the air. River wolves. He shouldn't have been so close, but he wanted to catch a glimpse of that ugly, scared male he had "run" into before, they had a score to settle after all when the other male had walked away from their scuffle. Pitiful excuse for a wolf. Rhysis had been searching for him ever since, with little else to do with his life, he had the time to track down a loser to beat him to a pulp. The problem was, he didn't want to get <i>too</i> close to the borders. He didn't know much about these rivers wolves (even though he lived with them as a pack mate for some weeks) so he didn't know how kindly they took to strangers that trespassed just that inch too close to the borders. It was better to be safe then sorry anyhow. He took to skirting around the edges. Careful not to cross any marked borders- he didn't fancy having a whole pack after his skin.

He'd been hunting for an hour or so now, looking for any scent or sign of the ugly black wolf but was coming up with nothing, not until he spotted a rather large male, perhaps similar to his age in the near distance. He seemed to be... shifting around on the same spot? How very odd. <i>"We should go take a look."</i> whispered the ghost of his father, his strong, greying muzzle pointing in the direction of the wolf who seemed unable to move from the spot. From this distance, they couldn't see why he seemed to be trying to pull himself out of sitting, maybe he had a bad back? He'd have no pity from Rhysis or the mirage of his father. It seemed more fun to go over and poke fun at him instead.

With his mind set, he ambled towards the other wolf. His head and posture high in cocky arrogance rather then dominance. That would come out when he got closer of course.
As he neared, he got a good look at the problem. The moron had gotten himself tangled up in some vines and other things. Rhysis could feel his eyes wanting to roll in his head at the stupidity of the situation, but he held them in place and focused on the large male and allowed his smooth, deep southern drawl to escape his lips in a sarcastic comment. <b>"Wow."</b> he started, a cocky smirk kissing his lips as he came to a halt, a good distance away. The other male wasn't exactly small and like most of the wolves around here, carried a lot of weight behind him. Seriously, was Rhysis the only male here who was tall and skinny?! These guys needed to go on a diet or something. <b>"How dumb you gotta be to get captured by a tree?"</b></blockquote>

Crack.

The slightest alarm of an intruder rang in the man's ears. No, he wouldn't let that happen. If only he could- "Wow. How dumb you gotta be to get captured by a tree?" His eyes wandered for a second with an unalarmed expression, but the man his eyes captured was hardly a problem. Not like Ten thought he would be, at least. He was lanky, tall, and adorned with steel eyes. His torso fur was a indistinct black color, yet his face showcased gray and a nasty chewed up ear.

Ten wanted to laugh his lungs out at the odds of finding him already, but he restrained it for now. He knew exactly who this was, but wondered how he would take the mention of Naira. Since he was held back by vines and totally helpless, the male decided that if "Rhysis" was insane, then there would be no way to escape him like this. So, to stay safe, he decided to play nice guy and offered a half-hearted smirk to the opponent's insult. But he ignored it, and jumped to another subject as quick as he could think of one. "So, how's you're day, Rhysis? Taking a stroll, I'm guessing?" He wiped all the arrogance and annoyed expressions he could off his face and eyes. But as soon as he said it, he knew he screwed up. He used the man's name before it was given to him.

Now he knew that he had some explaining to do, but hoped that Rhysis wouldn't notice it. Tenzin looked at his large paws and bent his head down to bite at them; wincing at the disgusting taste of the plant.

OOC: Set before meeting Valiant so he is still in the area and has spotty memory/personality traits. <3

There was that name again. Why did everyone keep calling him that? Did he have a twin he didn't know about running around doing good deeds? It seemed almost everyone he met knew that name, but he certainly didn't own it. He began to wonder if there was some sort of disease in this land- everyone seemed to be fucking crazy here. His eyes narrowed in distaste of the thought of being surrounded by freaks. It wasn't a comforting feeling, but if they were all dumb enough to get stuck in a tree, he didn't feel he had much to worry about.

"Name's Wolf, mate. And my day is going far better than yours it seems." he said calmly with no concern that the name he gave was bullshit and he couldn't actually recall ever having a real name. He approached a little more cautiously as he watched the other begin to gnaw on the vines and tangles around his paws. It was quite amusing to watch such a big fella stuck by something so small. He wished it would last, he could quite happily sit here all day and watch, laugh, not offer any aid towards the other. He didn't get too close though, just in case those vines were thinner than they looked. Still, he kept up the dominant posture, fluffed up, alert, ready just to look a little more menacing. He knew what he looked like, and it would take a lot of puffing to look as strong and thick as this other male. Not that he was worried, he had enough experience in his belt to never fear a challenge... no matter how burly the opponent; but his confidence was never without the sense of acknowledgement that things could change very drastically, very quickly and that one should always be prepared.

"So tell me. How does one exactly get tangled in an inanimate object?" he asked, enjoying taunting the colourful male with no care of the consequence. Hell, perhaps he needed a foe in his life. Afterall... he didn' t have many of those. Pity that his mind had forgotten the two packs who would love nothing more than to see his head on a stick. Perhaps he might not have been so cock sure had he known the truth. Still, they say ignorance is bliss.

Tenzin got biting. A bitter taste filled his mouth, causing him to run his tongue across his muzzle a few times when he looked up. He let out a mocking huff. "So, Wolf? As stupid as others tell me I am, I know what you are, Wolf. You don't have to make it your name to help me understand." The brute scowled, going back to his biting. The vines next to his forelegs were getting weaker by the second. Then he would get Rhysis. He was still stuck in a sitting position, but he would soon be out.

His left paw was out.

Ten looked up in victory, then went to the right one. Those vines were only wrapped around once. Easier now, it snapped in about 10 seconds flat. Both of his paws finally began to circulate blood again. He twisted around and bit around his right hindleg. It was sorta hard for him to twist around. He wasn't really made to play Twister. He shivered as rain lightly fell through the canopy. He huffed unhappily. Today just wasn't his day. Was any day his day? The vines around his right hindleg were wrapped around tight. He stifled a whine when he moved forward and suffocated his leg.

He smirked. The guy could take the insults, he liked that, which was a strange feeling as he hadn't felt like he liked anyone for sometime now. If only he knew how this wolf had been touching his female. Not that he remembered her either, but it would be a very different story had he been omnipotent. Rhysis was the jealous type and were he to sniff a little closer (and of course have some recollection of his female at all) he might have noticed her scent upon the wolf who had sprung a limb free.

"Sorry mate, I thought I'd be doing you a favour by dumbing it down." he retorted with ease as he did not worry too much that only his rear limbs remained stuck. He could of offered help of course, but it wasn't in his nature to help anyone who could not be an asset to him. Had his mind been on track, he might of helped and in returned snatched up this wolf for his pack, but his mind wasn't on track and at that moment in time, he had no use for the other male other than to poke fun at him whilst he could.

He wasn't stupid enough to hang around for too long though. The other male was young, strong it seemed. Everyone in this damn place seemed to be some sort of mutated super wolf. Was he the only skinny guy around here? It was sure started to feel that way. He subject his slowly healing wound to extra strain unless he had to. That didn't mean he wouldn't take another inch, just to get a good scent of the other and store it away for later.

"You got a name, dumbass?" he then asked, casually taking another few steps forward and inhaling deeply. The wolf had a strong smell- no marks of a pack or contact with too many wolves. It seemed he too was all alone. How sad. Stopping a good distance away, just in case he had to turn tail and run, he taunted the other by flexing his front legs in front of him, sighing with relief as he turned his front paws with ease, before he moved to his hind legs and stretched them out behind him, taunting the other with his freedom.

Snap..

Snap....

Tenzin stopped to get used to the disgusting taste. He still hadn't gotten used to it. Exhibit A: this is why we're not herbivores.. He thought sourly, satisfied with "Wolf's" response for once. "I thought you had no mind of being helpful, Wolf." He played along, rolling his eyes and smiling. He wasn't going to satisfy this wolf and ask for help. He'd rather get struck by lightning. Oddly enough, Ten actually stopped for a second and waited to get struck by the wrath of his god. For once, he could happy breathe out in relief as none of that nonsense occurred. His spine tingled with the sensation of sleepiness. Maybe he was just a little tired. If only he wasn't tied up still.....

Damnit.

He wiggled his right leg, and moved it upwards. The tie loosened and his right hindleg came free without any more biting. His large paws placed themselves on his left side as he tried to twist around and get his left hindleg. Then he heard the other wolf's voice prod into his thoughts again. "Call me Ten." The brute felt like Rhysis was a mosquito. The fucking pest was getting under his skin, and Ten had the mind to whack it out of its senses. His pelt bristled as the black man got closer to him. Too close.

Ten couldn't help but throw a hateful glance at Rhysis. His fur tingled and teemed with the slightest idea of being free again. The male's paws lingered closer and closer, teasing him. His paws were all sore from being held up, and his left leg was throbbing like nobody's business. And the biting ensued, until finally, he was all free. And then it was war. The tawny male bolted forward and aimed to leap on Rhysis, throwing all of his weight forward, hoping to smash the male. Give him a dose of revenge,

These two are too funny. xD

He was a mosquito, he supposed. An annoying itch you couldn't scratch. With nothing more to do in his life than make others feel worse than he did. He didn't know why he hated himself so, it was a memory he had long forgotten but he simply couldn't shake. Still, he had to enjoy the little things in life and seeing the growing agitation of the tawny male made him feel better, inside and out by the smirk on his face.

His name sounded as ridiculous as the one he went by himself. Ten? His parent's couldn't have liked him much, giving him a number rather then a name. Maybe they thought he was too stupid to remember an actual word as a name. Ha, that made him snort a little.

Focus... whispered a voice from inside his head, and he took his eyes from the struggling wolf to glance around him. His father's voice echoed in his head, but he thought his mind was not pulling tricks, but that the body and will of his father was a beast who still walked beside him. Funny, what madness could do you to. Yet he was too late to heed his warning, by the time he assured himself that his feather was lurking close by, he turned in time to see the male charging at him full speed. He had no time to react, other then to brace himself from the barrage and as he felt their bodies collide, he felt the earth beneath his feet shift and he fell to his side. As he hit the ground, he was prepped to go. That was the only shot he was going to allow. He hit the terrain on his side, but used the momentum to roll right over and land on his stomach, legs tucked at the ready to push himself up. It wasn't exactly a graceful move, but it got him on his feet again.

Instantly his hackles raised, ears flattened, posture increased to try and match the size of the other. He wasn't as stocky, or fat, as the other male, but he wasn't a weed either. No, he was ready- always ready. A low rumble echoed from his lips, the only noise he made as he stood face to face with the number ten. A smirk kissed his lips once more, before they elevated to bare his pearly whites. Funny, how such a handsome face could change so quickly to something so... Kingly?

It all happened so quickly, the smash to the floor, righting and preparing that it felt like only moments had passed until he charged at the other male, hoping to dart to the side at the last moment, lower his head and grab on of his hind legs. With any luck, speed would be on his side rather than the strength the other had in abundance. Should he succeed, he would hope to pull the leg right from under the wolf and crush his teeth down.

Tenzin felt their bodies clash, and he landed harshly one or two away from Rhysis. The cold, snowy ground underneath his skin was like dry ice. Eager to get a better advantage, he caught his breath in a matter of seconds. His body heaved itself up and anxiously tensed. The male's endurance level would surely land him luck somewhere in the future. He knew it. Moments later, the lanky opponent was on his feet and ready to attack. A less than kingly smile formed of Ten's maw. He adorned the crooked smile of a peasant extremely well. He didn't admit it; he never would, but he thought Rhysis looked quite well smiling like that. It fit him...or something like that..

Ten knew that Rhysis was coming for him, so he got ready to counterattack the male. Instead of properly countering mosquito, he was caught completely off guard. The rip of flesh on the side of his right hindleg was practically audible, and it had a sound equivalent to that of a band-aid getting ripped on your cut. He moved him endangered limb, but he moved it the wrong way, and he felt Rhysis's whole mouth and fangs sink into his skin. Blood rushed and stained his fur.

Tenzin was a brick, and couldn't be knocked down, but pain was an obstacle in the most tender of places. He snarled and twisted to his right, aiming to get a bite at mosquito's black, furry neck. His tail raised in attempted dominance. His white fangs would turn red if he could land a bite on the other wolf. Pain surged through Ten's legs as velvet red liquids with the taste of metal stained the snow.

Whilst his teeth were working on getting to Rhysis's neck, his leg was shaking vigorously in an attempt to throw the attacker off. A hideous howl of pain rang the air. Let go, fucktard! He thought hastily, shaking his leg harder and harder. How long could Rhysis bite? Well, his fangs seemed to impale his skin and every time Ten moved his leg, it stung worse.

Slyscar

The unmistakable sound of a squabble drifted by his ears and he had to wonder... Had the river wolves upped their patrols since the loss of their little one? Were they treating loners as they should? Although, this noise seemed to be some distance from the well marked borders in the heart of the Sacred Grove... The dark males interest was piqued.

What he spied between the tangled trees bought a smirk to his face. He watched as the fatter one untangled himself from the vines and the two began to squabble. Like children. Surely loners had far better things to expend their energy on? Perhaps survival didn’t factor into their daily thoughts and still, they kept at it.

Oh the options, to spring amidst their flailing forms and dance away with what was undoubtedly superior speed? Or to simply watch from the shadows and see who emerged victorious? But surely he had places to be, and tales to tell. He could not simply hang around to wait and see who came out on top.

With a silent sigh under his breath then, he turned to skirt about the scuffle. His dreams of spying a bereaved mother sobbing over her lost child or a member of the pack staring out into space as if a part of their very soul had been ripped out thwarted for now. There would be time yet... He didn't even care if branches cracked beneath his paws as he left.
