Excited to thread with you again, bebe! @Chetan and his Ilona, please. :)
The blood was upon her lips – the adrenaline of the chase stirring her slender, creamy limbs forward with renewed vigor each time her paws thrummed against the grass cloaked ground. She was the ultimate predator in this scenario – already her fangs had grazed its hind, leaving life to drain from the hare slowly as it attempted to outwit and outrace her. With each passing second the rabbit slowed, its eyes widening as its oncoming fate became apparent, and rather than revel in the fear of such an innocent creature, Kisla made one final push forward, her lean limbs clenching with the weight of her jump as her jaws took aim to put the animal from its misery.
It was a clean kill – one of the more impressive ones she had partaken in, and the tawny she-wolf settled back to her haunches for a moment, her tongue sweeping past her lips to clean the crimson that now stained her ivory-tipped muzzle. The sun beat down upon her, warming the female’s pelt as she was once more reminded that spring had not only come to them, but had also brought the promise of new life in the womb of her mother. Cubs that had been fathered by Ice. The thought caused her jaw to clench, and blinking her green eyes, the River female’s jaws widened in a yawn – an attempt to soothe herself.
With eyes cast down now, the Tainn female nosed at her meal. Stretching her figure leisurely upon the ground, one paw holding the hare in place, Kisla elicited a soft rumble of pleasure as she tore in to the flesh, feeling the hunger that had stirred her chase only moments ago become satiated. Like a broken hearted girl with a tub of ice cream, Kisla cradled her rabbit and allowed food to sweep away any troubled thoughts she held of the man she could have loved having cubs with her mother.
