Oak tree, fungus, maple tree, step mushrooms, owl pellet, lichen, birch tree, cardinal, moss, dead indistinguishable small mammals, grass, deer mouse, bugs, the tempting hare from before, and something else. Just the tiniest whiff of some decaying carcass on the wind. It was far off and would likely take the gray wolf half the day just to get to it at his current pace. Tokino sighed then picked up his head and started off in the direction of food. Hopefully by the time he got to it the scavengers wouldn't have picked the carcass clean by then. Tokino needed a good meal to keep him going strong. rabbits and squirrels just weren't satisfying even though they kept the gray wolf alive.
.
His icy blue gaze kept themselves loose in his head glancing around at the tree's and landscape as it went by. This sightseeing also doubled as checking for dangerous creatures like bear, some lingering coyote looking for food, or even those of his own kind. Tokino would rather not see any of his own kind unless he sought them out himself. Or perhaps if they were a part of a pack. The silver male was interested in pack life once more. Perhaps to help take care of pups which he secretly loved to be around so much.
.
A memory of seven little pups at his sisters belly made the gray males stomach knot up. Pushing away the bitter memory Tokino continued on his path towards food. Life sustaining food which would keep the Lagina moving for at least another week or so.
