Lachesis "XIX" Stark
The loud crack! echoed in his ears as he was flung backward from the force of the antlers coming apart. His jaws loosened around his side, and eventually released the bone as he somersaulted in the depths of the tall grass. Laughter poured from his mouth before he could stop himself, a smile pulling his dark lips apart as he scrambled for something to grab onto. Clumsily, the boy gripped the ground and pulled himself to a stop, laughter still dripping out of his maw. Sprawled across the ground on his stomach, XIX gradually began to pull himself to a stand as he stumbled forward to search for his half of the antlers.
He was thankful that he had run into this wolf — it had been so long since he had enjoyed himself so much. After developing a friendship with the dandelion-eyed wolf from the Woods, XIX believed that he wasn't going to come across another wolf as friendly as she was. Clearly, the loner had been proven wrong by Naia.
'Nineteen?' Her voice brought him pack to reality, and guided him to her location within the tall grass. With his half of the antlers gripped tight between his jaws, the boy padded toward with his tail swinging excitedly behind him. The boy wasn't even concerned with whose side was bigger, he was just happy to have played such a fun game. He was definitely going to tell Anastasia about this, and hopefully he could find another pair of antlers that they could play with! Once he located Naia, the spider-legged boy took a seat in front of her, the antlers dangling from his mouth as his tail continued to wag.

Naia Aegina
|| How do you feel about wrapping this one up soon? I need to cash in some points for poor Naia since her account is getting drained every two weeks. We could start a new thread with them somewhere else though, if you want to keep playing! ||

When Nineteen reappeared, Naia grinned so largely that she nearly dropped her antler. Her companion’s previously snow-white pelt was now streaked with dirt from the somersaulting, sticking up on end in a few odd places here and there. She stood there for a moment with that silly grin, swelling with pride at the conspicuous evidence that she had caused him to take such a mighty tumble. It took Naia another few seconds to realize that she herself must look similarly ridiculous, and she released her antler with a bark of laughter, shaking herself to put her fur back into place. When she was finished, she used her nose to nudge her antler over to her new friend to compare her piece on the ground with his dangling from his mouth. When she looked up at him her honey gaze met his, and she could see the spark of excitement that had ignited behind his eyes. Nineteen seemed like a completely different wolf from the ghostlike male she had met before the game. There was nothing like rolling around in the grass to bring a wolf out of his shell.

”I think it’s obvious who the winner is here,” Naia began, keeping her face carefully straight. As far as she could tell, the two pieces were perfectly even, but she was unable to resist the opportunity to keep the game alive. ”Sorry Friend, I hope you weren’t too set on that wish of yours coming true.” She couldn’t help the impish grin that broke through at that point, revealing that she was perfectly aware that in reality the game was a draw.

that's perfectly fine! :) we can have it fade out with them playing mebbes?!
The boy frowned around his side of the antlers when Naia began to giggle at his complexion — surely he didn't look that ridiculous? He realized, after his pear-coloured gaze swept up and down the tawny loner, that if her fur looked like a mess than his definitely did. XIX laughed along with her, the bone falling from his jaws as he struggled to compose himself. Mirroring Naia's shake, the youth eyed her half of the antlers carefully, brows narrowed in concentration. They were ... they were the same! How was that even possible? Did that meant neither of their wishes came true? In all the excitement Lachesis had forgotten to make a wish, but that was not the point — there had to be a winner, not a tie.
A single brow rose as his new friend began to speak, her words trying to convince the yearling that she was the winner. It was obvious that the antlers had broken perfectly in half, but Naia was refusing to believe that. He scoffed at her words while nudging his half toward hers with his paw, lips curling into a half-smile. "I th-think it's obvious you're d-delusional," he stated with a wink, tail giving a quick flick behind him. "I s-suppose, only because you're d-delusional, you c-can have your wish." XIX rolled his eyes while he spoke, head turned away from the girl. "And b-because I am so kind," he added casually, paired with a nonchalant shrug of his shoulders.

A small smile formed across Naia's lips as the young male studied the two halves, but it broke into a grin as he replied with equal flippancy to her declaration of victory. He nudged his own half of the antlers towards her in a bartering gesture, and Naia dramatically fixed an expression of doubt on her face as she pretended to consider his antler once more. The act was interrupted by her new friend as he questioned her mental state along with a wink of one pale green eye. She could not help but laugh, tucking her head down between her paws in an attempt to stifle the reaction. When she looked back up, Nineteen was rolling his eyes, seemingly trying to convince the tawny female that he had grown disinterested in the outcome of the game. “I suppose, only because you're delusional you can have you wish,” he told her, even having the audacity to add “and because I'm so kind.” Naia's honey eyes flicked open wide in surprise and then quickly narrowed in and expression of mock anger.

With a self-important huff, she replied, ”I don't take charity wishes.” Ever so slowly, she shifted her stance toward a more balanced, fighting-type pose, and Naia spoke again to distract the youth from her movement. ”There is only one way to settle this. We play again, but this time, instead of a pair of antlers....” She let the sentence hang in the air for a moment, crouching down before finishing it with, ”We use your tail!” The slight female sprung at him, snapping playfully at the tail that he had previously been flicking around so presumptuously. She purposefully missed her mark, her intention of course being only to startle the male and not to actually bite him. Without hesitating, she pounced again, this time aiming her small body at him in a full-on tackle. She was laughing uncontrollably at this point, her giggling making it difficult to put any amount of force behind her “attack”.

The boy scoffed at her remark about not wanting to take charity wishes, although the playful gleam in his eyes remained. Although he often had fun with Anastasia, it had been a long time since he’d actually had fun – this Naia, a complete stranger, had yanked out the puppy in him that hid in the dark corners of his mind. Lachesis had played with his siblings when he was younger, but they (aside from Thalia, of course) had always ganged up on him and turned it into a game of torturing the smallest brother. As he grew, XIX became taller and lankier while his brothers became stocky – another reason for them to pick on the pear-eyed boy. These games were never really fun, as they always ended up the same with Lachesis getting hurt or running off to hide from them.
But this game, this was real fun.
Play again? XIX stared at the girl for a moment as she continued speaking, announcing that instead of using antlers they were going to use his – WHAT?! The ghost yelped in surprise as the girl playfully lunged at his tail, his paws scrambling across the ground as he stumbled backward. A grin instantly rolled across his maw as he lowered himself into a bow, hindquarters wriggling behind him. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px;">“That’s all yo– OOF!” His words got cut off as she tackled him, laughter pouring from her throat as she lan ded on him. Unable to restrain his own laughter, the boy fumbled to pin the girl down, his long legs entangling within hers and their laughter echoing through the meadow.
