Karpos found himself playing again, this time though, in sight of the den instead of sneaking off into the woods when Ana or Shade weren’t looking at him. He had this log, it was a very special log that he would walk across, and he never fell, he was always alert as to how his foot landed, but there was a first time for everything. His eyes stayed calm, watching his feet, but the log was a bit slippery near the end, and he fell, losing his footing and falling into the shallow puddle that happened to be below his placement. He let out a small wail, he had a few bruises from the fall, though it wasn’t quite a large fall, but it hurt really bad.
He would recover, is was one of the things he always told himself, after his mother left and he had no idea why, he was determined to recover, and then his da, Shade, brought Ana who ended up growing to be his mother. It all had worked out, and so Karpos had taken it on as a personal motto, the little boy had grown, and was now just over two months, his words starting to make more sense. He had just doubled his weight over since he was born, and he found his head to become bigger, all changes that he himself did not notice, but the adults around him did. He focused back onto his bruises, the log had a bit of a silly little stick sticking out of it, cutting him, but not very deep. The look of a small amount of blood made him woozy.
