A smile graced his features as Capella spoke of a deer herd not too far away. He could feel the excitement coming off of her in waves, and was sure that she could sense his own excitement that mirrored hers. As he continued searching for a scent trail that they could follow, his ears picked up the sound of the creamy faes' voice, and lifted up his head, only to see her walk away. The grey male grinned as he saw her turn her head to look at him and pause. He broke into a quick lope to catch up to her retreating form, and slowed down when he got beside her. "You ready to take down a deer?" His voice was almost child-like, full of excitement and nervousness. He hadn't hunted with anyone else except wolves from his birth pack, so this was going to be a new experience for him.
Lowering his creamy white muzzle to the ground, Ace followed the scent trail at a quick trot. He didn't want to tire himself out before they even got to the chase, and even though he had a fair bit of stamina, it usually didn't take long for him to tire out anyway. There were a few rustles here and there, most likely small animals such as mice, maybe even a rabbit. But all he was focusing on was deer. He'd had a growing edacity for something more than a rabbit the past few days, and now was his chance to quench it.
When they got close enough to the herd to be seen, the grey male glanced briefly at Capella with an excited grin on his face. Looking at the herd, his light grey eyes flitted from one to the other, searching for a suitable deer to take down. Preferably, the deer should be old, sickly, or a young fawn. Taking down a deer in its prime was way out of their league with just the two of them. Looking back at the creamy fae, he spoke in a soft voice. "Do you want to take the honours?" He'd let Capella choose, seeing as she went on that hunt with Shade before, so she knew the area. He also wanted to see how well she could lead a hunt. He'd lead many hunts before, but he was curious about the creamy fae. She intrigued him in many ways, maybe more than they should.
