Borlla Tainn-Argyris
Partly Cloudy — Current Temperature: 66° F/19° C ; early morning for @Kyros

The sun had only just begun to rise. The clouds in the sky were thick and plentiful, only allowing small threads of light down to the surface, and even less as the trees and their blossoms sheltered the Glen wolves. After a heavy rain the previous day, the land was a bit misty, making the moderately warm temperature feel just a bit colder. Within the den, Borlla was curled with her children and her mate, unaware of the temperature or the mist or the sunlight. Something flickered in her mind, the slow beginnings on consciousness beginning, though she would certainly sleep well for another hour or so.

Her dreams had been pleasant, when she could see them and remember them. Black and white scenes, faint reminders of the past. She embraced them in her dreams, rather than shun them. Traveling with Indru as they tried to uncover the source of the water disappearance, meeting Marsh, watching Weldering and her sister challenge Ruiko and Indru. In her dreams she could relive these times, emotions and all, yet still wake up none the wiser, most of the time. It was some subconscious way of dealing with the events of her past. In her waking hours, she was bitter, angry for all the things that shaped her childhood, turned her into what she had been. Watching her friend threaten her brothers, her caretakers. And then watching both of those caretakers eventually disappear and abandon her. It was hard to tell, but Borlla was very family-oriented. Time and time again she'd spoken against them, but she knew, deep inside, that she'd always be a Tainn. But she just had to be the best one. Make up for all the wrongs that her family had done to each other. Borlla would not watch her new family dissolve like her birth family had. It would not happen.

Paws scrabbled lightly against the dirt as she blindly dreamed, her cheeks puffing, faint little woofs tainting the silence. The mist stirred outside, the sun grew stronger, and morning began. <b style="color:#32527a">"speech."

Kyros Argyris-Tainn
Kyros snuggled closer into his mother's side as a slight chill crept into his spine. The light sound of her shallow breathing lulled him back into a dreamless sleep, while her heartbeat played a familiar lullaby. He felt comfort, and acceptance. At least as much as he could feel. The ashen cub would probably always have a problem with feeling accepted for who he was, but at the moment it didn't concern him. He was here with his family, snug in the knowledge that he was a part of something. This family needed four parts, that he was sure of. Although he wasn't sure if he could be considered a full part. In his mind it was more like three and a half, maybe even three fourths, but that was it. He would only allow himself to believe he was three quarters of a wolf. To believe anymore than that would open him up to too much hope.

A stirring movement next to him pulled Kyros into conciousness. Eyelids still heavy with sleep he rolled onto his stomache. A small nose prodded into his mother's side and a light whisper followed. "Mumma?" He looked around the den making sure he didn't wake up Hypatia. Her even breathing assured him that he hadn't. A sigh of relief had him turning back to the white mass next to him. It wasn't like her to move so much in her sleep, or maybe it was. This just happened to be the first time it had ever woken him up. Heavy lids fought to stay open as he waited for her to wake, and a yawn escaped his maw.

This is obviously going to be a little bit different, since we're bringing this up to now, rather than back in June. x3
Her children were growing, the den was getting a bit smaller. It was only to be expected that Borlla's movements would have disturbed one of her brood or even Phineas. She was reliving the hunt, though it mingled with hunts past. A bunch of memories rolled into one that felt right, which could only explain why she so eagerly at the earth while she slept. In her dreams, though, she was powerful, far more than in life, with long flowing fur and eyes just like the sun. Life recently hadn't necessarily been kind to her, though she found it rather funny now. The jagged tears left by the badger were simply jagged scars now, pink and fresh, but no longer ached. Her lovely white fur hadn't seen the stream in a few days, so she seemed a bit bedraggled. So she latched onto this dream...Well, until a faint word seeped into her subconscious, changing the course of the dream where the buck she'd been chasing turned into a creature that looked very much like her son...

Eyelids fluttered over orange eyes and the woman inhaled deeply as she lifted her head from the earth. They adjusted quickly to the light of the new morning, and were turned slowly upon Kyros, her tail giving a single thump of pleasure. Borlla hadn't realized that she'd woken him up with her scramblings, and could only ask, <b style="color:#32527a">"What're you doing up so early?" with a bit of humor in her quiet tones. Glancing about, she made note that Hypatia and Phineas were still quiet asleep, and gave her son a nudge, tipping her muzzle towards the opening of the den, as if to encourage him outside where they could speak. As long as they were both up and the sun was out, might as well make an early start. Getting carefully to her paws, the woman slinked quietly over the earth and out into the grass, inhaling the fragrant scent of Magnolias that also clung heavily to her pelt. <b style="color:#32527a">
