Silver
@Hati only <3

Silver had wandered a bit from the pack just to find some silence from everything. Ace had been leader and she needed to fight two wolves to be by his side. Karpos' real mother had shown her face again. And finally Shade had died. It was almost to much to handle. At this point she thought it would just be easier to leave with Ace and start a pack of their own. But sense he didn't want that she wouldn't push him to that choice.

Her black figure moved through the shadows of the mosses. Golden eyes lite up in the shadows showing others there was life in this unknown area she called home. Her black paws padded forward toward the scent of what seemed to be a small animal. Maybe a mouse or a rabbit would greet her jaws like they always did. But sometimes she longed for a bit more than the usual small animals. She wanted the taste of deer and moose in her mouth. Just to see what they tasted like. Though she hadn't seen any around.

Silvers' mind drifted in between the thoughts of her family and mate. And yet small meaningful words slipped through her jaws "Everything I love is falling apart. My home, my family members, the pack and finally me." she hung her head a bit in the silence that laced itself around her like a blanket. The silence had been her only friend. And in Silvers' opinion she needed a new friend who felt the same as her.

Hati “Taras” Roukan

This was a curious place.

Everything dead...

No. Many green things still abounded in this forest. It was alive, and very much so.

And yet...

The feeling that this forest was only a shadow of what it had once been was heavy. Every step was taken in hesitation, as if the small movement would otherwise move something from its sacred place. The silence would have been overpowering if Hati did not understand such a thing so well. It was not unwelcome...if only this forest of moss and rotting memories would yield some food. The few birds vocalizing angrily in the treetops above were of absolutely no use to him.

The dark male's bony form continued to advance deeper into the Verdant Mosses. Of course he little knew the name of the place he had stumbled upon merely by chance; he was there only for the purpose of filling his stomach before moving on to a new bit of country. He called no place home. He called no one family. And he was getting used to being a loner destined to always be the same. He didn't like it, and saw no reason he should. But even his efforts to join a small group of loners (they called themselves this, for they had no home, but they had each other) had failed miserably, and he knew that nothing would change.

The scent of a young rabbit brought Hati and his thoughts to a halt. It took little time to determine the path which the delicious aroma originated from, and less to dart along it making no sound. Had an owl chanced to witness the chase, he had no doubt the bird would be jealous. His paws touched the ground so lightly that not even a print betrayed his presence. His entire body was perfectly coordinated, folding under fallen trunks overran by moss, and in turn leaping above them, snaking through hanging branches and low growth. Though his left eye was not with him, his other was quick enough to see for both of them except on the rare occasion.

The trail turned suddenly to the right, forcing Hati to skid to a stop (unavoidably making a ruckus) and turn almost completely around. A grimace curled his white lips upward. How could the rabbit have noticed him? Had he not been perfectly unnoticeable? It was a matter of wounded pride more so than annoyance with the prey itself. In fact, it was utter embarrassment.

Wait...

A new scent shifted Hati to a sudden alertness. His tail hung low as he picked his way over the damp ground towards its source. Silent as always, his sharp ears picked up the sound of a pained voice before he could see who spoke. The words spoke of an existence similar to his own past. And the next moment he spotted her pretty black figure slowly moving through the forest.

She looked like a wilting flower.

(@Hati sorry for this crap post.)

The smell of a rabbit was closer than she thought. Naturally she took after the rabbit. Chasing it around twist and turns until it ran in between two rocks for shelter. Silver didn't even bother to snap her jaws after it. Had she known there was another wolf by she wouldn't have chased after the rabbit like a fool. Yet the smell of the lone wolf had seemed to be right behind her. Turning to face the male her eyes landed on him. She took in his features. His scars and body figure drew her to walk closer to him. "Hello Sir, Im Silver Shadow." she gave a nod of her head as she finished speaking.

Her head was held at a low position just like her tail. She meant no harm to the other male as it seemed he had already had gone through enough hell. Silver had her own scar under her right golden eye. Giving the male a friendly nudge she let her soft yet broken voice speak out again "Care to go for a walk?" slowly and gracefully she led the male through the mossy area. Truly she had only just met the male but she felt a bond and safety with him. Silvers black paws made silent steps on the moss and rocks under their paws.

All that say between them was silence. Though it felt good to just have silence with someone besides @Ace her love. Finding a rock to sit on she jumped up onto it and sat down. Silver didn't ask the other to sit with her. It was his choice if he wanted to sit with her or not.

Hati “Taras” Roukan

The black female didn't seem to mind his missing eye. Or had she even noticed it? Though he had no reason Hati felt compelled to follow her through the forest, unable to ask where they were going, and not caring. The wolf welcomed the silent companionship the same as he did. But who was this dark stranger who now sat perfectly still and quiet on the mossy boulder?

All he could do was leap to her side and sit on the rock, watching her face curiously. It was an obvious fact that she was not looking for a romantic partner. Hati detected the strong scent of other wolves and one brute in particular. This Silver Shadow wanted to be alone. But, then, why had she so gracefully invited a stranger to share in her sad silence? She couldn't know that he himself was the embodiment of the word, for the scar that betrayed his inability was hidden to all that didn't look for it.

Even while the dark brown and black male wondered these things he knew, reluctantly and by his own experience, what Silver was facing. She wanted to be alone, and yet was lonely. She did not want a mate's loving words and caresses, but the understanding of one who could feel the same as she did. Hati indeed understood. By instinct, he reached out and touched the edge of her ear with his moist nose before pulling back and staring at her with sad eyes.

The world was a harsh place for the innocent.

Silver
Silver felt very greatfull for the touch of his nose on her ear. She offered him a weak smile and leaned on him as if for support. Nudgeing him she noticed a scar on his neck. A small nod let the male know she understood why he didn't talk. It was a result of something huge that cause him not to be able to speak. All she did was lean on him as if he was a support system. His sad eyes caused her pain to look at but she was sure er face looked the same. Whispering softly to him "I don't know what your real name is so maybe I can just call you Scar?" it seemed like a fitting name for all the scars that covered him.

Silver had been a bit worried that her mate might smell Scar on her. But if Ace was concerned about it she would tell him they were just friends. She had already had a mate and wasn't looking for love. She was just looking for a fried that wouldn't leave her. That would stay with her and comfort her. And it seemed that Scar could do just that. If she was reading signs right he needed a friend or someone to keep him safe. Silver knew what type of wolves were out there. Some of those wolves would make fun of him for his differences. But Silver wouldn't make fun of him. She thought it was nice to finally meet someone unique.

Hati “Taras” Roukan

All Hati could do was grin, despite the feeling of sadness and loneliness that enveloped the mosses around where the two sat leaning against each other in odd friendship. Indeed this was the first time in his life (since the stampede) that another of his own species didn't creep around him in worry they might offend him or charge him because of his lost abilities. All they could see was a one eyed hunter, who, normally, could not be a hunter at all. But Hati had learned to overcome, and now he was basking in the feeling of friendship that was even stronger than the pain.

Scar. The smile faded. It was a name any lone wolf would be proud to be known by. But this one was very much not proud. It was shameful enough to be the very reason for what had happened to him. If it became his name...Hati's single eye strongly stated one thing. Rejected. With a heavy sigh known only to the burdened he shifted his eye away from Silver and stared at nothing in particular. There was no way he would be able to make her understand his true name. He could only hope she would understand why he disliked her first choice and think of another. He wasn't too picky, but some things just shouldn't be.

Forcing another small grin Hati nudged Silver with his scarred brown shoulder before leaping down from the rock and, without slowing, loped away from the place. He knew well from experience that a romp through a forest was healing to the soul. In less eloquent words, of course. He glanced back to see if she was following, tongue and tail hanging loose and a mischievous sparkle in his eye.
