Erebos Argyris
@Paramount

It felt damned good to be on the other side of those mountains. Erebos felt as though he was starting to let go, a familiar catharsis that he felt every time he decided on a new course. He was the type of man that loved to start new things and finished nothing, addicted to change and repulsed by certainty. He had crossed at the falls, and then headed north to quickly escape the dismal forest that surrounded them, breaking through into the dying fields of blackberry that reigned over the northwest corner of relic lore. The cold winds tore the wilting berries from their hollowed twigs and the faint smell of rot lay underneath that of the brush itself as the berries left decomposed. Yet the sight itself was still beautiful.

Erebos pushed through the brambles, limbs tangling with the long and browning grasses of the fields. It was a perfect fall day, the rains having given pause to allow blue sky above, even if it was chillier than before the storms had come. A wonderful start to his adventure.

He felt the pangs of hunger start once more in the pit of his stomach as over the scent of the blackberry bushes he picked up signs of other living creatures. Prey was abundant, but the deteriorating terrain would make stealth difficult. As Erebos traversed the fields, he attempted a few hunts, but soon he had scared off a substantial amount of the prey population and with a sigh, the man gave in.

"Alright, morsels... you win," he muttered under breath, a new thought occurring to him. Several times he turned himself, flattening down the lengths of grass to make for himself a bed. Once satisfied with the padding beneath him, Erebos took to laying down on the makeshift bed, and turned his orange eyes skyward to watch the clouds passing by.

All the time in the world; that was what he had now.

Fianna
Hi!

Fianna had come a long way since leaving home. She'd traversed miles and miles of terrain, and yet it had been ages since she'd seen another of her kind. She shouldn't have been surprised, really. It was dangerous to wander, living alone with no pack to support you. Fianna was beginning to find that she didn't really enjoy it. It had been a rash decision to leave, and even though she was lonely and hungry, she couldn't find it in herself to regret it either. The very prospect of meeting an unfamiliar wolf excited her. If only she could find someone.

Finally, a chance presented itself to her. She'd clumsily made her way through dark brambles before coming upon the vast fields. She had to stop for a moment, smiling. The grass was dying and mostly brown this late in the year, but it was still beautiful to her. It reminded her so well of where she'd grown up, a little slice of home in an unfamiliar land. She couldn't help but leap forward into the grasses.

She ran random, looping circles, tongue lolling out of her mouth as she did. Her clumsiness fell away as she ran, and she relished the cool wind in her face. She caught a glimpse of movement in the corner of her eye and slowed to a stop. She leaned forward, sniffing and narrowing her eyes intently as she tried to discern what had caused it through the tall grasses. A bit of silvery fur was all she could see, but after a moment's contemplation, she decided it was enough.

The foolish girl didn't hesitate. She cut a zigzagging path toward who-or-whatever it was, body moving at a steady trot. When she was not fifteen yards away, she barked out a cheerful greeting. "Hellooooooo!"

Erebos Argyris
ooc: whoop! hello :3

A calm settled over Erebos as he appreciated the view and the silence for the peace they offered him. Still, something was missing. As he lay, that something happened upon him, proving his luck. A rustle of the brittle grass in the distance and the traveling scent of a another soul caught his attention, and a smile crossed over his features. Company. That was what he needed.

Erebos waited until she was closer to both picking himself up off the ground. He stretched his limbs and back casually, waiting until he heard that silver bell voice call out to him. Leaving his makeshift clearing, he nosed his way through the grass until the short distance left between them was completely eliminated. Before him was an energetic looking girl colored a deep, gorgeous brown and patched with blonde, causing the boy's smile to turn wry. He was the type of man to always appreciate the company of an attractive woman. At any rate, she certainly didn't appear to be a boring individual. He hoped this would hold true and not just be skin deep.

"Hey there," he returned, dipping his head in a nod of acknowledgment. "Here to save me, are you?"

As the question left his lips he set back into motion, trotting past the girl's side and then looping back around her.

"Boredom can be a deadly enemy, after all. Do you have a plan of action to combat the danger?"

He hoped she would play along, and make his evening interesting. He'd settle for simply not confusing the hell out of her, however.

Fianna
Fianna couldn't help but lean forward. Anticipation swept through her small body like an electric current, making her quiver slightly. She looked almost as though she could take flight at any moment. Eyes of dark honey were trained toward spot she'd seen that bit of fur. There was rustling in the tall grasses, and she cocked an ear listening, nose twitching as she discerned his scent amid a myriad of autumnal smells. He smelled of warm fur, and musk, and pine. Fianna found that she quite liked it, but then again, any wolfish being would be a welcome sight at this point.

Finally he emerged, a lanky giant cloaked in silver and ivory with curious orange eyes. She watched those vibrant eyes as he looked her over and offered a crooked smile. Fianna offered her own foolish grin in return. Her tail wagged shyly as he made his circuit, turning her head to follow him as he trotted.

Fianna's own smile turned a little crooked at his words, and she lifted her brow, peering at him for a moment longer before doing her own little dance around him.

"Plans aren't really my thing," she said, trying to sound nonchalant, though the excitement was bubbling up through her. It had been so long since she'd spoken to anyone at all, let alone someone playful. At least he seemed to be playful. Fianna had little to no experience with deceit. "But I shall vanquish your foe!"

She darted off into the grass, gesturing with her head to bid him follow, her tail held aloft like a banner.

Erebos Argyris
@Fianna
i am so freaking sorry for taking forever ;~;
i hope you're still around x:
also its short cause i didn't want to power play on accident.

Erebos couldn't have hoped for a better response. His tail set into a slow waving as she took her turn frolicking around him. She was so visibly excited, he couldn't help but broaden his grin as the mirth was infectious. And then suddenly she was gone, leaving behind a faint trail through the tall grass. Erebos immediately shifted gears and followed.

Within moments he realized this could end up quite the work out, as she was quick as a hare, whereas he wasn't exactly built for speed. That did not mean she would win this parameterless game, however. Bounding after her, his long-legged strides swiftly devoured the ground between them. A chocolate flash cut through the grass in front of him as he gained on her, and soon she was nearly fully in sight, hidden only for seconds at a time when the wisps of grass swayed between them.

He had every intention of tackling her, revisiting a youthful state of mind, and would've if he could gain enough ground on her. As it was, he leveled with her flanks, and settled instead for nudging at her side, playfully but with the hopes of staggering her balance.
