For @Minka and @Sloane .

The aluminum furred male wandered aimlessly and with no purpose. No matter how much he focused on the shadowy land ahead, Aero always ended up off course or in the usual route- a huge circle, which was the case. He just couldn't keep on the track. Never staying angry for long, Aero forgot his current worries and bounded forward, his short legs moving comically as he merrily leaped around. Sure, he was two years old, but did that halt his puppiness? Not at all. He still carried his responsibility, though. Being adventurous, bold, and playful was a pup thing, but when it came to defense, it was an advantage. He could trick another adult into thinking he was mentally ill, and then he would be ignored- who would waste energy on a worthless rock-for-brains? No wolf would ever do that. So he used tricks and such to attack, fooling the enemy. Often seen as a dumb block head, he was different once met. Behind his amber eyes was a sharp, keen thinker.

Aeroyn's white paws almost tripped him as he skidded to a halt, almost shaking, as he carried infinite energy that made it impossible to sit still. He switched to pacing. He turned around, as he had noticed a border. A borderline of a pack boundary, to be exact. He wouldn't dare pass. He wasn't that stupid. Sure, he was foolish at times, but that was for fun, to make others feel great and amused. He looked around, no one was there. Silently backing away from the territory, he raised his muzzle. A loud voice, deep despite his youth, echoed across the land. He called, howled, sang for the Alphas of this pack to find him. He couldn't bare the lonely life no longer, what he needed was a new life.

Sorry for the hold up! It's exam season

It was the second call to reach the woman's ears this week and she was just as tense as the last. The pack was struggling, Narimé was gone, Sloane was gone and if this loner wished for a place in the pack there would be just as many new comers as there was old, it was if a new pack was being born. Determined the tawny coloured woman made her way towards the voice, the pack would not fall, the pack would never fall. The snow was deep all around her, a constant struggle in places, the pack had to keep clearing out the entrance of the cavern so they wouldn't get snowed in. Coming up almost to her chest the going was slow, a run was almost impossible to do instead she almost snowplowed her way through.

As she came closer to the location of the caller Minka slowed, allowing herself time to catch her breath as she refused to be seen as week. Golden eyes flashed across the scene as she pushed from the foliage out into the clearing, an aluminum coloured loner stood almost completely concealed by the storm around him. This stranger could blend in well with his winter surroundings but the female alpha stood out stark against the snow. The rust of her pelt melded with the tawny, even with the trees at her pack she was an extreme contrast to her snowy surroundings. Letting a few moments of silence pass before speaking the woman called out to the loner, "Who are you and what is your business at our borders?" She had no time for small talk, she had a whole pack's wellbeing to worry about.

The silver furred male stopped right in his tracks, almost sighing. Finally, this was where he could stop his travels and begin settle down with some peace. Aero was defiantly not fit for being alone. The snow, beginning to coat his light fur, was shook off with one big shake, although he managed to step back so he wouldn't get the other wolf angered. With a swipe of his long tail, he fanned the snow flakes away from his cold paws. He quietly cleared his throat, and had to force his loud voice to be only slightly loud as he began to speak.

"Hello Missus', I'm here to settle down. I heard you were a new group... "
He spoke on, hoping he could persuade her to let him in.
"My body can blend perfectly into the snow, and by the looks of things you'll need more wolves like me. I'm flexible, I adapt to change."
He thought once again for a moment, and opened his narrow muzzle to speak, but closed it, and instead he stood up, his white paws tapping lightly against the leaves and dirt, until the snow covered his short legs. He began to pace, trying to stop the thick snow from covering his entire body. His light amber eyes looked at the pack- wolf, and he quickly backed up to not be an intruder in her space.

Minka watched his every movement closely, and it was clear that he was not submitting, nor showing the respect that should be given. Any member of the pack outranked this loner, yet it was clear this wolf did not know his manners. He stood there blatantly at his full height and his eyes were locked onto contact, but what was even more shocking was how he voiced what he had heard about the pack. Tawny hackles immediately rose off the females back and a warning growl rumbled in her throat. Stepping closer her tail raised even higher above her back, a clear sign that this loner should submit or pay the consequences, "And who exactly told you of our location? Or that we are a new group?" The words were a snarl, the wolves were not the most secretive but the location of their territory was reclusive, most knew only that they resided somewhere near Hush Meadows. There was also the fact that the pack could hardly be considered new anymore, Minka had joined when the pack was still new and that would be a year ago come spring.

The stranger paced, and the sight set the alpha on edge, this loner seemed unpredictable, nervous and clearly had not etiquette. Once more a growl built in her throat at his words, "Wolves like you? What would that be exactly, and further more what does a loner know of the needs of my pack?" Minka was unimpressed by his first impression and he would need to work hard in order to earn redemption. The fae asked for one thing and one thing only and that was respect, something that this stranger has so far refused to give. This was not going well.

@Minka

Aeroyn stopped, and broke his gaze- although was not fond of high ranks, he sunk down. To show a bit more responsibility, he lay down on the ground, rolled onto his back and exposed his silver stomach and throat. Every thing was down. His ears were pined against his skull, his tail was tucked so tightly it seemed that it might cut through him like a blade. He focused on the ground, realizing he had ruined his first and last impression with the leader. Unsure if he should speak, he slowly voiced his words, coming out much more mellower than before.
"You see, Ma'am, I didn't know of the exact location. I've picked up snippets about territories here and there and gained a vague idea. I learned where most were by travel."
His voice was much more quiet than before. Aero was only just two years- a cross between a yearling and an adult. It made him unsure of how to act, it made him unknown of what to be like around sophisticated beings. He was immature, in growth and in nature. He couldn't control his wildness, but he was like clay- soft in the world. He could be modeled, shaped and shifted into what was needed until he is an adult- hardened and dry. He was solitary. He had no knowledge of how to interact.
"That you are a new group, that is an opinion of mine. Everything and everything is new. At least in my eyes, that is."
He felt impatient with himself- he was not one to speak with a humble voice. He needed to change his already-forming reputation. He wouldn't want to be consistently targeted.
"I had meant that, as far as my knowledge is, you probably need more males. I can smell many more female scents than male, although I'm not certain, bacause of the weather."
Aero made up his mind. He needed to change- for the better, for himself. Heck, even the lowest of the low had more grace and wits. He sighed inwardly, and his mouth opened slightly, although it closed.
He felt humiliation swell in him. Aero felt sick, as if he had eaten a year old skunk. He almost closed his eyes, trying not to picture the high-standard female ripping his throat into shreds.

The female was unimpressed though placated when the male sunk to the ground and showed his belly. A movement that reminded her of the strange loner that she had met upon first entering these lands. The thought brought a small smile to Minka's face, how naive she had been then, and how awkward that stranger had been, she never really had learned his name. Perhaps it was this memory from almost a year ago that restored the mercy in her heart, if she did not accept this loner than he would surely die over the winter. Hackles lowered onto her spine though her posture remained stiff and her lip curled up slightly showing the tips of her teeth at his ramblings. Finally she sighed, "Enough, your opinions of my pack and my family matter very little to me right now, but I will grant you a place within my pack." The gold eyes stared at the younger male wearily, this was taking much longer than she had anticipated.

Without breaking her gaze the tawny fae continued, "However, you will be the pack's lowest until you learn how to properly behave as a subordinate, this means everyone outranks you and I expect nothing but respect to be given to each and every member of the pack. If I hear word of disrespect I will have no hesitation about exiling you." Sighing once more the woman shook her head, who had raised this boy? Even when she had been two years old she had enough sense in her head to show respect to an alpha, any alpha, but especially if she was attempting to join a pack. Looking back to him she questioned, "What is your name stranger?" If he was going to be part of the pack she would need to know.

@Minka
Aeroyn slowly nodded, his charcoal-black pupils wide and focused on anything but the female's stern eyes, which seemed to burrow deeply into his soul. He knew that he needed this pack if he were to survive this harsh winter. He needed to be resilient and adapt. The pack, for sure, most likely would not like him, as Aero was merely a young fool in the sophisticated 'good' eyes of other wolves. His grey jaw, which had been locked shut, slowly opened, and his voice was even quieter than before, if that was actually possible. Once he would stand up, he decided, that he would dip his head low, in a sort of bow. He was now determined to gain the Alpha's admiration and trust.

”I understand.” He knew he would be in the lowest rank possible. It made perfect sense.
“My name is Aeroyn. Nice to meet you..”

He lay- practically frozen- where he had been, unsure whether he should stand or not. His golden eyes seemed to sink as he looked at the leader, although it wasn't a stare, it was much more like a puzzled gaze.

'What do I do, now?'

Aero almost sighed out loud. He had messed up, big-time. Pack life would not be great as he had thought. He wouldn't be able to re-live his precious younger years, gain the pup hood he had never been able to earn. He instantly filled with regret, but also with a small, faint optimism that perhaps not all members were as dictating. Aero was not a freedom destroyer. He was a freedom thriver.
That was why he was so outgoing and annoying. He never had the guidance to teach him. He never learned trust. He never learned respect. It was all a foreign concept to him.
Aero, who was now coated in a layer of snow, wiggled to wope of the snow without unsettling the Alpha.

You can either make an exit post or wait for Tokino to post, either way the thread is going to wrapped up in a couple posts and I will officially change Aeroyn to part of the pack :)

Minka watched to make sure that Aeoryn understood what being the lowest meant before nodding her approval, he would be the newest member of the pack. "My name is Minka Leigh," she offered, her voice now warmer than it was before, once you were a part of Whisper Caverns you were a part of the family. The alpha nearly chuckled at the younger males next words, it was almost as if they had adopted another pup into the pack. Smiling now the warmth returned to her eyes, "You may stand, I am going to call for the former lowest and explain the change in ranks, you may chose to stay and meet him or you may go explore the territory as you see fit." Without hesitation woman raised her muzzle to the sky and called for @Tokino to come and join them at the border.

It was no secret that the male had been working hard in the absence of Sloane and the lack of Keith's presence. Minka wasn't pleased with the second and his performance lately but she kept her jaws shut, there was enough turmoil within the pack already without her scaring off Keith as well. Never the less, the salt and pepper man's extra work had not gone unnoticed and he deserved a reward for his dedication. Whenever the female did her border patrols it was primarily Tokino's scent that lingered most freshly and the caches never seemed to dwindle too far when he had been hunting. The tawny woman smiled at the thought that at least one male member of the pack was dedicated to them, the thought was bittersweet and the smile quickly vanished.

[Yeah, this thread is probably at it's end...]
@Minka
Aeroyn felt slightly better upon the brief kindness. He had not expirenced a family-like bond before. Aero stood up, his ears at a slightly below normal hight but his tail still tucked down. He smiled slightly, not yet comfortable in being open and outgoing yet.
"Thank you."
His voice was still quiet. Aero bowed down low, his soft silver facial fur brushing against the glistening snow. He was still quite eager to improve. Aero did not cross through the borders just yet, he decided not to look too energetic. That was hard for him, as he was usually buzzing with energy. He was like a lightening rod- silver, and usually filled with raw energy that carried him quite far, from deep crevises to the cusp of mountains. Aero stood still for a moment, listening as he heard Minka's howl, echoing loudly in his ears. He stepped back a few steps, ready to watch for whomever was coming to the call. Aero was jumpy, much like a pup, as commonly thought by ousiders that had met hiin the past. He sniffed around, taking in the scent of his new home. His muzzle, broad and light silver, was pressed against the cold ground as he sniffed around the border-line, straining to catch information about the wolves in the pack. He wondered, 'Who's that?', 'Who's this?', and many other questions that popped up in his mind.
The good thing about the pup-like wolf was that he was as resilient as a real pup- adaptable and able to change.
He could learn, that was for certain.
