The storm was whirling around him as Rayne sighed heavily as he studied the field around him. It had been quite some time since he had last been to this field, not since...Shaking his head, Rayne didn't want to remember what had happened here the last time he was here. The fight was something he was ashamed of, as he had come to a realization that he been taunted by the hellion and nothing he had spoken was the truth.
The field was now covered by snow and the tree in the middle was still there, for which Rayne had taken shelter under from the storm, though it still buffeted his fur as he lay curled in some of the roots that he had dug under, still on alert for any wolves that might sneak up on him as he attempted to wait out the storm. Though there was no real reason for any wolves to be out here, there was no want for a repeat of last time either. He then begun to remember happier memories came to him because of this field as well. It was the first place he had meet Aideen, who had gleefully promised to help him find his sister and did she! Weeks after speaking, they had meet up again and not long after, Rayne was meeting in a joyous reunion with his sister. He hadn’t stayed long, only enough to let Senka know he was alive and well before he moved on after feeding from a nearby moose carcass. His sister had been sad to see him go but told him he was always welcome to visit, if he so wished.
Remembering his sister made Rayne feel a little melancholy, allowing his head to drop between his paws after studying the storm and making his ears drop slightly. There was no way there could be another wolf would here in this weather. Only fool like him who were too stupid to take their sister’s offer of staying at her pack for the winter.
