Her voice sang to him as she answered his question. "Oh." was all he could say, completely unable to hide the small smile that threatened to break into a wide grin. He had to bite his tongue to avoid saying the words that came to the forefront of his mind.. Well I can fix that for you Minka. Instead he slowly stepped across the border coming what felt like entirely too close to her to the point that he craved to press into her fur. Hollow remained calm and merely asked, "Shall we?" His eyes rested on her face and he couldn't look away now, he was locked onto her, he saving grace was the scent of rabbit slowly drifting across his scent glands. Maybe she would notice because it was already fading in his head even though the scent remained strong.
It seemed like a million moments passed between her sharing her lack of mate and Hollow's response with a grin she couldn't tell was either happy or mocking. Probably mocking, why would he be happy a fae he just met doesn't have a mate? she chastised herself, even though her heart was singing with hope. A matching grin danced across her features now and she repeated, "Oh." Minka's word was quiet, maybe even quiet enough that the male didn't hear it but she couldn't know for sure one way or another. Neither moved for a time but the woman's body screamed for her to close the gap between them, press her body against his just to see how it would feel. It reminded her so strongly of that day in the rain with Asterion, how humiliated she felt after he froze away from her touch that she took a step backwards. Her head was spinning now, so many emotions, such a strong and strange need she couldn't make sense of any of it anymore.
Slowly the dark form moved towards her and hope shone foolishly in the golden eyes as Minka watched his movements. Nodding her head she responded, "We shall," before turning to walk by his side. The woman tried her best to keep her heart steady, sure that if it beat any louder Hollow would hear and that would make her seem even more a fool. Almost unconsciously she moved closer so dark fur intermingled with red, the space between their bodies seemed alive in sparks as they moved. Energy that could either bring light into both of their lives....or destroy them both.
