Serach Donata
OOC: Serach will be making his exit in this round since nobody tried to stop him previously and I won't be around for the next 4-5 days to respond.

He was not a fast creature, and so it was with great relief the young boy spared a glance over his shoulder to take a look at his pursuers. The sounds of growls and snarls had escalated, but his brief glance revealed that there were no pursuers behind him. Panting with exertion, Serach lurched forward, doing his best to remain upright even on awkward paws. The smell of blood was in his muzzle, and it took all of his self control to not drop the stringy meat he carried onto the snow and devour it then and there. Should one of the opposing adults give chase, Serach had little hope of outrunning them. He was slow, and his paws slid over and sank into the snow in an uneasy rhythm. He was headed back the way he had come, over the field of paw prints that had led them to their encounter with the caribou. Their encounter with family.

The farther he ran, the heavier his breathing became. His heart pounded against his rib cage, and more than once Serach's eyes grew wide with worry at the thought that his heart might break through his chest. But his vital organ stayed in place, and despite his fear, nobody came after him. But he did not turn around again, but kept running until the adrenaline fuel ran out and his legs gave out in exhaustion. He was alone now, and with no second thoughts, ripped into his prize, eagerly awaiting to fill his empty stomach.

Borlla Tainn-Argyris
Just gonna move this along. Feel free to nab her, but as of 4/4, she'll be out (2-day rule, cause idk about rounds anymore)

What unfolded before her eyes was like hell. Had she really gone mad? Borlla stood in the snow, watching the faces of her blood shift and change. And she stood there, head tipped up like she was proud of what she'd done. Yet, she could only stand there as the child raced forward to fill his belly. A fight seemed to have already broken out and her ears fell back, a single brick gone to weaken her structure. Despite what she'd said, the only wolves that might succeed in this endeavor were those of the Bend. And she could only take the blame.

As Ruiko mumbled from his position, she looked towards him, eyes widening somewhat as his words startled her. For him, she had tried to scale Mount Dire, and yet she couldn't have taken a moment to split this meal fairly? Her paws itched, her mind screaming at her to run. Her eyes flickered between her littermate and her elder, and with a pain in her heart and in her chest, she took a step back. She'd failed everyone this time. And so she ran, hoping only that they might not catch her, and hoping that the wolves of the Glen might follow suit so that they would not have to suffer for her stupidity and cowardice. But as she flew across the hillside, she was certain that she might find a way to make things right again, for everyone.

Zia Celencio
OOC: If anyone wants to give chase to Zia, go ahead.

She had stood, waiting rigidly. All eyes had been turned to Borlla, to whom was to make the decision if the two packs were to share the meal or not. Her sapphire eyes flicked to one face and then the next, of both her pack mates and the wolves of the Bend. The youngest among them was a creamy pup, who seemed the most desperate for a favorable outcome. Her heart went out to the boy...one so young shouldn't have to suffer while being denied a full meal. But the fact of the matter was, that she and the rest of Magnolia Glen also had a young mouth to feed. Hypatia, who was not present for the hunt, but certainly grieving at her brothers loss. Zia would not let fate strike again and claim an innocent life.

The final word slipped past her Queens lips. Nothing. The Oak Tree Bend wolves would get nothing. While she outwardly wore a stoical mask of indifference, inside, she winced slightly. She saw no reason not to share this bounty, but it was not up to her. Tensions escalated all around her, hackles rising, teeth exposed by multiple wolves. Off to the side, she glimpsed Halgen launching himself at the black male who had been guarding the carcass. It took only seconds until the fight escalated, with a third wolf joining the fray. Sighing, she flicked her eyes towards Triell in a silent apology, wishing she could've had more control over the situation. He and Borlla were siblings...surely it pained him to fight like this with his own blood.

Amidst the chaos and confusion, the silver woman maintained her cool. She didn't want to fight, but she also did not want to betray her pack either. So as soon as she saw an opening, right by the shoulder of the Caribou, she dashed in. With a few quick bites and a shake of her head, she tore away a hefty chunk of meat and flesh. Blood stained her muzzle, teased her tongue, and yet, she made no move to fight. Instead Zia bolted away with her prize, following Borlla's tracks. She was happy to leave the Bend wolves with the rest. But at least, Magnolia Glens second had ensured they got away with something. Even if it was only a scrap.

Nayeli Stormwright
The fight with the tawny male (Halgen) had lasted only moments, or so it seemed. Nayeli had reacted mostly upon instinct, leaping to meet him as he jumped toward her, jaws snapping, her actions quicker and more prevalent than her thoughts. The male had given her a shallow wound behind her ear - inwardly she wondered how much damage her strike had inflicted, but the instant had passed so quickly she couldn't be sure. When Drestig had jumped in to her assistance, the Glen wolf had backed down.

Catching a quick flash of silver in the corner of her eye, Nayeli spun to see another Glen wolf doing much the same as Serach had done, whisking away a morsel of meat. The other woman acted fast, before the dust from the brief scuffled had settled, and before Nayeli could consider acting to try and stop her. Her own heart still pounding wildly in her chest, Nayeli moved to plant both front feet on the kill again, a low growl sounding from her throat as she watched the forms that retreated, then swept her gaze to those that remained. Adrenaline from the fight still flowed through her veins, and she tried to maintain some sense of inner calm. What now? the thought joined all the rest in her mind of its own accord. She wondered if those that remained could agree to some terms without further violence, or if her fight with the amber male would be only her first clash today.

Drestig Avalon

His eyes had been fixed on the caramel pelted male, watching to see if he would dare attempt another attack; so when he caught the sight of movement out the corner of his eye and turned his head, he was already too late to stop the grey woman. He barked out and leapt after her, teeth once more snapping, around pure air, but she was too quick, and after a few bounds, the back male stopped up, eyes narrowed to slits as he watched the thief shrink on the horizon; right on the heels of someone else. Turning his gaze to the remaining Glen wolves, his fiery eyes now widened as he saw who was missing; The alphess!

Apparently realizing the gravity of her decision, the white queen had taken flight. Drestig's teeth glistened in a wolf's grin as he stared down the remaining enemies, their numbers now too small to pose a true thread. With a quick glance back at his pack, he saw Nayeli take back possession of the kill, and he slowly moved himself to the side, to position himself squarely between the carcass and the last of Magnolia Glen; making fully sure that no one else would get away with a piece of their prize. The black man glared at the white male who had first taken command, before the arrival of Triell's sister, now that she had gone he would call the shots once more; But he must realize that fighting would be futile!

Snarling through his grin, Drestig voiced his victory, his tone elated and powerful; "The kill is ours! Run, run like your leader, and we won't hurt you!" One last challenge. One last call for action from the opposing pack. It might be cruel of him to belittle them, but he couldn't help himself; standing before the prey that he had put down, with the strength of his pack behind him, he couldn't help but gloat a little; We win!

Phineas Argyris
Exit Phin, if they let him and Halgen go. :)

The silence that befell him was almost deafening – he blinked at his mate’s decision, having not expected it. Had she not fallen down the mountainside trying to reach one of her family members not so long ago? And yet now she stood – stubborn in her regality, and completely aware of the decision she had made as he seen her emotions flicker across her face. He did not miss the desperation of the creamy youth that tore in to the prize and ran – nor did he bristle at the thought. The ebony male had brought past acceptable terms.. but Borlla would have none of it.

He heard their rumble of protest, though his gaze remained fixated upon her for a moment. She had, at one point, belonged to these wolves. He had not heard much of her family – nor did he share tales of his. As far as he was concerned, @Aeolus, @Erebos and Thanos were no longer kin to him. Their blame would always place that dark shadow across them.

Phineas held root to his spot, surprised by her answer just as they were, and yet believing she would give way. But she did not. Instead, the she-wolf turned and fled.. raising the challenge to her blood and then fleeing like a coward – leaving Halgen and himself in their line of fire.

His moment of stunned silence shifted to rage. Stoically, he shifted his gaze to the remaining wolves, noting the silver dart of Zia as she grabbed a piece of the meat and followed in suit. It was the most they would gain from this kill, and as the wolves who had fought Halgen backed away, he gave a nod to the tawny male. “Halgen, let’s go home. Hypatia will be fed.” That was all that mattered.

That, and he would be seeking @Borlla out for her little stunt the moment they returned. His eyes skimmed the others momentarily, though he did not speak. Instead, he turned to leave with an idle flick of his tail, tense as he awaited for his subordinate to come by his side.. or if they would let him. He did not miss the taunt from the other, though his anger was not directed to him.

No, it was to the one he called mate.

Halgen Dominique
Everything that drowns me makes me feel alive

He drew a deep breathe as the fight ended. One on One would have been more fair. He said to himself silently as he drew a snarl. Zia had managed to grab at some meat for the pup and Halgen started to relax more. Phineas gave the order to move away and Halgen nodded. "Yes sir." He said obediently as he started towards his home. All that mattered was the pup was fed and the rest of them could surely find something. After all wasn't that what they had been doing the entire winter? Foraging and scavenging around for food to eat and making sure the pups stayed alive. Halgen knew that the Glen had lost one pup that season, he'd personally see that they didn't lose another.

With a cold glance at Drestig and Nayeli he ran towards the borders and the pack. He had stuff to do... they all did. He held a troubled glint in his eyes. A sigh as he pushed off, his light tawny fur bellowing in the winds that seemed to be extremely strong. He hated losing even though he seemed to be very good at it. He had lost two fights so far and he was bound to lose more. He was set into a dreary mood and he thought about all he needed to accomplish. They would need to make sure the borders were secure, Halgen didn't trust those wolves from Oak Tree Bend. Then he could try and scavenge up something for the rest of the pack.

He wanted food.

Triell Tainn
I will always belong in the service of a Queen

The leader continued to stare, challenging anyone to make him move from the carcass. Ruiko seemed to back up his decision and that was all Triell needed to know he was doing the right thing. That one of his siblings had his back. While he did catch Serach from the corner of his eye taking some, he did not say a word about it. That was fine. The boy was starving, and the Tainn only took a brief second to make he escaped with his meal.

When a brown wolf suddenly leaped at Nayeli, he thought it might issue either of the white wolves to do something. But none did. Drestig helped settle the small scuffle, and Triell released a deep growl. A warning he would be the next to use his teeth.

Zia's blue eyes were meeting his, and he understood. No one had wanted to come to this, and he was still struggling to understand why Borlla had done so in the first place. Especially, now where he could see her suddenly fleeing the scene. He had nothing to say to the silver female, already knowing he may have placed in her an awkward spot. When she zipped in for a piece of the meat, he did not stop her. "Leave them." He commanded, thinking at least the smallest members of Borlla's pack would be fed. He would do no more. He watched her mate command his subordinates, and head back to their pack lands. It was not a victory to him, but he wasn't about to let the caribou go to waste. "Let's eat all we can, and we shall take the rest back." He briefly looked to his pack members, holding Ruiko's gaze the longest. If to ask what was that all about? Triell had never understood any of his sister's. He bit down into the carcass, encouraging everyone else to do the same. He couldn't help wonder, what would this mean? What had happened to the wolves of the Glen?
