The blond woman uttered a name that was uniquely foreign to Aideen's ears, the muttering manner in which it was spoken not making it any easier. "Kay-nee," She tried, the sound emitted from somewhere deep in her throat; That sounded like a frog croaking! She wasn't even close. Shaking her head, half in irritation with herself, half in apology, she smiled sheepishly at the lady; "I've never met a wolf with such a strange name..." Only after the words had already left her mouth did she realize how rude they sounded; Oh, no! I didn't mean..! She parted her jowls to apologize, but before she could speak again, the large wolfess lashed out.
The slight girl jumped sideways in shock as K'arnae unleashed her anger, spinning around to look straight at the big wolf, mouth open in surprise; I it... What?! A moment ago, she had been worried about insulting this strange dame; it seemed she had no such constraints. Aideen stared at the woman, shock preventing her from responding, but soon, anger began to simmer under her friendly manner. Before she could express it though, another voice rang out, it's deep, dominant bark rumbled through the thicket. Recognizing the voice, the small fae turned her head, feeling a slight relief washing over her as she locked eyes with her alpha briefly, her waking temper burning in her bright coppers.
Miccah was blunt and confrontational to the strange lady, posture clearly underlining his position. As he turned to Aideen, the girl lifted herself into a, rarely used, dominant stands - lower than her brawny leader, but still potently conveying her dismay - eyes returning to K'arnae. With a quiet snarl, she answered her alpha, eyes still fixed on the outsider; "Not at all," Her voice was icy, nothing like her previous, friendly attempts at interaction; "I was just escorting this... Behemoth out of our thicket." Only a very few things could flare the petite lassie's rage, insulting her home was one of them, and when it ignited, it burned potently.
Glancing at Miccah, though swiftly looking back to the woman, Aideen added dismissively; "But I'm sure she can find her own way from here on. Unless you want to drag her!" The last she added as an afterthought, looking to her alpha yet again, with almost serious eyes; she would like to see that. While she waited for answer, she stayed her position, standing on stiff legs, shoulders raised; she would wait for her leader's decree, but as far as she was concerned, this boorish woman was worth nothing more of their time; And fairly, I have better things to do!
