Did she know something that he did not? He couldn't bother to ask her though, because he knew that it would do him no good. He was still caught up in his own grief of what could have been between himself and Athena. He had devoted himself to her for so long and then everything he had worked for had ended up coming back to bite him in the ass. He remained in the cavern, his green eyes staring blankly at the cavern wall for hours on end. When he began to feel the slightest bit fatigue, the man made his way out into the darkness that had befallen the land, his gaze flicking towards the moon above him.
The stars flickered, reminding him of who he was and how he had come to be. Never had Ash ever imagined that he would once again be leading a pack, and with a bunch of wolves whom had known him as nothing. Everyone was going into his leadership blindly, except for Namara, who knew well of his methods of leading. It always depended on who he was with, but he was sure that he wouldn't have to use the same brash techniques that he had used on other wolves within Poison Path. From what he had seen, the wolves in Whisper Caverns seem to have much more self-control. It did not go unappreciated by Ash and he was highly thankful that he would not have to put up with the same shenanigans. As he settled down for the next, he muttered quiet prayers to the stars before drifting off into nothingness.
