--I would like everyone to post at least once in this hunt thread, then after that if you're busy just tell us and we'll skip or pp with your permission. A hunt with the whole pack is very much needed. Plus the yearlings get to learn. Athena or Dziban can stay out of this though to say they're protecting Rory.
NO POSTING ORDER! So spree or go hog wild with posts!

3AM, June 9th, Clear Skies and no wind. Clouds moving in later in the day. Currently 41 deg. F

It was early morning outside and the meadow was covered in dew. A dark gray shape hung close to the shadows making use of the long grasses to hide itself. The top half of the wolfs gray fur was dry whilst her lower half was soaked by the early morning dew. It was still dark out, though some birds were singing their early morning songs, and the scent of morning was crisp in the air.

The gray wolf had exited her territory, though still near the borders of it, and started scouting for the scent of prey. As she made her round through the meadow the she wolf found the fresh scent of a doe and her fawn. Noting the direction it was headed Nari decided to get the pack together. In order to corner the deer we would have to chase it away from the edge of drooping willows back into the open meadow where it can be taken down. That means having at least two wolves stationed just inside the forest and chasing the doe from both sides back away from the edge of the woods.. Nari thought quietly while scenting the air for the deer. She could tell it was a little ways off. If she howled for the pack here she may frighten the thing.

So Nari back tracked all the way back to her border then sent up the call. She called for every wolf she knew of. Though she wondered whether Athena would come or Dziban. One of them would be staying back to take care of the little pup Aurora.

"There is prey nearby! Come all of you for the hunt! " Nari called letting her song echo through the air across their territory. When she finished the alpha turned to stand at attention waiting for her pack mates to arrive. She stared across the meadow in the direction that their prey had been and hoped that it was still there.

Adair Asherdu
He'd been making himself busy since his acceptance and walked the perimeter of the border every few hours to be sure that no intruders made their way over; with his size, he was sure they'd stay away. Yawning wide as he walked he turned to look at the sky and noted the morning sun, he'd been up for nearly five hours already and yet he kept moving, determined to prove to his alpha that he'd been a smart addition. From his knowledge, it didn't take long for the leaders to assume you dead weight and useless, and Adair had no other intentions but to prove that he was worthy of his rank, and the one above him; though he wouldn't challenge yet. He knew better then to charge into a pack and demand a higher status, gaining their trust and proving himself first always worked and today he would get his chance.

In mid yawn he heard Narime's howl and perked his ears to get a better listen, from what he'd caught in her message she wanted to gather the members of the Cavern for a well overdue hunt. His movements were rhythmic as he pushed his way through flora toward his queen, it wasn't until he was nearly upon her that he paused, his panting could be heard in the air. Though he was tired and muscles sore, he would spend what remained of his energy to participate in this pack hunt, especially if it meant that this would give him the edge he needed to become an official guardian. With his legs still he settled to his haunches with a soft flop, his bones cracking beneath his weight though he would not complain to Narime, instead he turned to her with a smile before speaking, "Good morning miss Narime.". Feeling silence quickly follow, he turned his attention back to the clearing to mimic his queen as he waited for the others.

Yuka Thorben

Ever since his most recent encounter with his former angel, Inali, Yuka had been trying to keep away from his pack mates; not that it mattered anyway, considering how ever since his facial injury, Yuka had been staying away from everyone. He did not know how to tell his family that he had taken a former pack member's life, and thought not to mention it then. He was already much more of a monster than they probably ever thought he was. Not even his birth mother or brother had seen his new deformation and it scared him to his core. In his mind, they already loathed him and shunned him for his wrong doings. Never would Yuka ever want to be looked at as a disgrace, but alas that was what he felt like. It didn't matter much to him though, Ash had helped him with fighting techniques despite his face, and the Thorben boy highly appreciated the man's help. Yuka also knew that he would not be shunned by Athena, for she too bared facial scars, just perhaps some that weren't as damaging to her own face. Unfortunately, his injury had made the right side of his face tarnished and looking much angrier than he sometimes was. His lip was torn past the point of healing, due to a ligament being torn in his lip, and his ear was torn, making it seem smaller than his left one. It was why when his mother called out to the pack, Yuka was extremely hesitant with his position.

He knew that Narimé would want him there, because he was, after all, her son. Snorting in aggravation, the boy begrudgingly made his way towards where his other had called, his legs pushing forward and shoulder muscles moving easily about his body. It didn't take him long to get where his mother had called, and he kept the right side of his face mostly hidden in the shadows as he looked at his mother and the new member that Yuka did not recognize. He did, however, acknowledge his scent, because it had been heavy along the borders since the time he came here. Shooting a quite glare to the new member, his amber teal-flecked gaze fell on his mother in greeting. "Greetings, Lady Thorben. You look well." His tone remained professional and held only the slightest bit of affection in it, she was, after all, the only family he had left, besides his brother, who never understood him in the first place. From what he could see, he had definitely outgrown his mother, and he could only imagine that he had got his size from the Thorben side of the family.

Titan Thorben
@Dziban @Danica ? Anybody else??

It wasn't often that his mother or Ash or anyone really called for the pack to convene. So when the call echoed through the territory Titan yanked his head up to listen. He recognized his mothers voice instantly as she called for all of them to come and hunt. The young male clawed at the dirt unsure of whether to go or not. For so long he'd been told "stay here while I get food" or "you need to learn first before doing real work" that he wasn't sure if he was actually supposed to come to the call or not. I mean.. she didn't pick out names like a regular hunting party...Just called everyone. He thought while raw excitement poured into his legs. Maybe we are actually going to learn to hunt big game today? He turned to lope towards the call where his pack mates would have already gathered.

Though he wondered who would not be busy doing patrols or other chores to join the hunt. The young Thorben did not think that he would meet up with only a few of his pack mates. He had imagined practically the whole pack being there. So when the shadows of only three other wolves on the border appeared Titan was a bit confused.

He approached the little group recognizing his mother and brother as he stopped to greet everyone. The stranger he looked towards with a narrowed suspicious blue gaze. However he dutifully lowered his head to the older male and averted his somewhat curious gaze. Instead his blue eyes traveled to his mother as he whined a greeting to her and dipped his head. It was then that the wolfs tail began to wag excitedly since it was obvious his mother was welcoming Yuka and him on this hunt. I wonder if Danica will come t- "Jumping rabbits what happened to you?!" The dark Thorben's thoughts were cut off by his surprised voice as Titan spotted the scarred side of Yuka's face. His black fur bristled, not at his brother or the stranger, but at the fact that his brother had been hurt so badly by someone or something. The surprise on his face turned to concern as he looked over his brother to see if anything else had been bitten or clawed off him. "Are you okay bro?" He noted that the scar itself was still healing but didn't look too serious anymore. An image of a freshly wounded Yuka tore through the dark wolfs mind making him wish he had been there to help. As of now the healing wound didn't look like it needed treating."Speech here."

Athena Moon

The sun hadn't even risen yet and her fiery eyes were open and awake. She was getting into a routine of getting up a little bit earlier to spend some time to herself before Dziban awoke and took off for his morning duties. The two of them were the dutiful seconds of Whisper Caverns and they needed to set an example for the younger wolves that resided among them. Athena felt she was living in the past once again as a second of a pack while also raising a child. However, she was happy here and knew that she was in a good place. As the tiredness left her eyes, she rose slowly as to not to wake Dziban or Rory. Giving Rory a loving gaze and a nudge closer to her father, she quietly stepped over the two of them, giving her mate a gentle caress on his crown before finally slipping out into the darkness of the dawn.

She didn't wander far, just over to the nearest oak tree where she sat down and stared up into the canopy of the trees. The birds were just beginning to arise and begin their everyday chatter. The squirrels were beginning to peak out of their holes in the trees above. Morning was coming across the Lore and Athena always loved to witness it first hand. The mother hoped that Aurora would possess that same love that she had for nature. As she stared up at the trees, a howl rippled through the air, Narime calling everyone for a hunt. Glancing back towards the den, the both of them couldn't be apart of the hunt together since Rory was too young to be left alone and Athena wouldn't leave her alone if she could anyway. She made her way back towards the den and hoped that Dziban was at least somewhat awake. Her body was itching for the chase and thrill of the hunt, so she was going to make it her mission that she would be the one to go. It was his turn to stay home.

Quietly whispering where she was going in his ear so she wouldn't awake the sleeping Aurora, she turned and began to make her way towards the gathering with new excitement in her bones. As she came upon the scene, the morning light was just beginning to break the horizon, but it was still dark within the trees. Hoping to see Ash at some point, she approached Narime with respect like always. Even if she was a past leader with the regal qualities still in her bones, she knew respect was needed here and Narime hasn't given her any reason to not respect her. However, the new male next to her leader hadn't proven anything to her yet. "Narime," she said quietly with a delicate smile. Keeping her second rank in mind, she turned to the newcomer with masked wariness. With a daughter in the territory, he needed to know that she wasn't a mother to mess with. Her stern eyes stared him down until she knew that he got some sort of message from her, where she then keep walking and sat down to wait for commands. Her eyes lifted to meet with Yuka's, her heart going out for him as he stood with his worried and protective brother. She knew how it felt to be stared at and only wished that he would accept her presence. In time, she hoped she could learn to trust him, but Athena was hard to befriends, especially when she had loved ones to protect.

Kassander Mikhailovich

It had not been long that he had resided within Whisper Caverns but he had already learned so much. He knew what different calls meant and he had learned small bits of English from Titan, a yearling who was also within the pack. It made him smile to know that this was the family he belonged to and that they did not judge him for his lack of knowledge when it came to the common tongue. The call came and he knew what it was where he would not have known a few days prior. A hunt was being called and he responded as soon as he could. He had to go back to put the herbs he had been collecting in the stores but then he would rush to go to hunt and feast.

When he arrived there were many faces that he did not recognize but he saw Titan and immediately stood near the yearling who had helped him through his language barriers (partly anyways) and Kass was just excited to know that soon the leader, Ash, would help him get more training in healing from a healer of another pack he knew apparently. Kass didn’t know much of what was going on because it was all in English and his Russian tongue cursed at him for it. He spoke softly in a greeting but it came out in Russian. He didn’t even realize it for it was the nature of how he worked. He smiled as he waited for further instructions.

There was one woman, she smelled like motherhood but she was not the alpha. He was curious but he figured that he could ask Titan later or perhaps he could find some time to talk to Ash or the female alpha which, shockingly, he had yet to meet. He’d been in the pack three months and he had not yet ceased to work whenever he was awake and when he returned to the medicine stores, where he was staying, he would immediately crash. He stayed out of the way of other wolves for a reason. Sithis curse him.

Narimé Lagina
Still waiting for @Danica but otherwise let's start! This round they are traveling to the scene and trailing the scent of the herd. Next round they'll be attacking.

After some length of time Whisper Caverns members gradually began to show themselves and take their places while others joined. First to arrive was @Adair to whom Nari smiled dipping her head in greeting glad that he was already trying to prove a good himself to be a good active member of the pack.

"Good to see you Adair." She let the greeting slip through her jaws as the male copied her stance then waited with her for others to join.

The second wolf to arrive was her own son Yuka who greeted her respectfully, which wasn't what she wanted. She wanted him to embrace her as he had when he was a puppy. "Hello little one. Why don't I ever see you anymore." She playfully scolded the gray boy just as Titan appeared just in time to join the party. Though Nari didn't spot her dark firstborn yet. Instead Nari actually stood up and approached @Yuka to give his nose three good strong affectionate licks. It was at the fourth lick aiming for the shadowed side of his face that Nari spotted the scars. Though Titan pointed them out almost a second later.

Stepping back to view her boys face Nari felt her mask turn to a concerned frown. She nosed the scars gingerly and tried to give him a few warm licks over the long healed cuts.

"Did you see a healer after you first got these?" She tried to hide the frustration flickering into her eyes as she gave Yuka a sympathetic look. "At least they are healing well, do you want to join the hunt? If you aren't feeling well you can just sit this one out and watch." She looked up to her boy lovingly though worry was plainly seen across her features.

I wish I was there when that happened. I could've... Her thoughts paused as Nari realized that she wouldn't be there for her pups all of the time. They would have to learn how to protect themselves at some point. He's not a pup anymore... Ash.. I think Ash is training him. She bit her lip realizing that real fighting lessons were definitely needed. Shaking her fur and taking a breath to calm herself Nari stood up tall again and tried to put on a smile. "I hope you made whatever did that to you beg for mercy." Nari said half joking but somewhat seriously as she glanced around to Titan and greeted him with a less than enthusiastic nod. Nari's happy feeling that she woke up with today had been dashed after seeing what trouble Yuka had gotten into.

Athena arrived while Nari sat herself down once more and slowly brought her attention off of her troublesome sons and back to the matter at paw. As Athena greeted her Nari looked into the womans eyes while lifting her head and chin up. The silver wolf almost forgot to return the slight smile to Athena as her thoughts melted into one another in her head distracting the woman. She did however notice the wariness Athena held for Adair. It was to be expected since he was new and @Athena has more than herself to look after. Hoping to break whatever tension that was between the pair Nari spoke up. "Rory is doing well?" Her question was given as Nari's blue eyes trailed on the groups newest arrival. Nari did not know the man who took a place right next to Titan and the confusion showed in her eyes as she watched him. An ear tilted forward catching the words he said but not understanding them. She smoothed out her features and gave @Kassander a warm smile and a curt nod for a greeting. He smelled of herbs which made her wonder if the man was well versed in healing. Maybe he could check Yuka for me just to make sure he's okay with going on a hunt.. she wondered for a few moments before raking her gaze across the gathered wolves.

They now had plenty of members to hunt with and easily take down the mule deer doe who had had Nari's attention during her scouting trip.

Gauging the strength and body sizes of the gathered group Nari planned out which wolves would do what jobs. She was one of the larger wolves, including Yuka, Titan, and Adair. Then there were two mid-sized wolves Athena and the stranger who would likely be the pair to split off the deer from the herd and give it some damage before the rest of the slower pack members moved in to finish it off. Nari hoped that the deer wouldn't be running for long since they didn't really have another wolf a part from herself who was made more for trailing and tiring an animal. Hopefully they could give some injuries to the animal quickly before running it down.

The blood in her veins fired up as Nari thought about tasting the blood of the deer just before it fell to smirch the soil and grass below it. She hadn't been on a good hunt in some time and was sure the blood lust would take her once the deer was too tired to run and began fighting back.

Growling approvingly at the wolves around her Nari picked herself up off of the ground and began trotting towards the place where she had last seen the deer. Her tail flicked up in a commanding gesture for others to follow as the she wolf quickened her pace to a slow lope. She wanted to conserve the groups energy; especially since one of their members, Adair, seemed like he was about to fall over from fatigue in the first place.

As they drew closer to their target Nari recognized the area where the small deer herd was last. They had moved, not surprisingly, and were no longer within sight which meant that she and the others would have to trail the fresh scent to the herd itself before starting her plan.

For now she moved past the low lying plants and tall grasses searching for her quarry who's scent was tantalizingly close.

Danica
(My apologies for the late arrival! Just finished my vacation. I have yet to actually write out a hunt so if anything is unrealistic/etc please tell me so I can improve! :) )

*Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!* Danica begged herself as she tossed and turned in her sleep. She was having one of those aggravating nightmares where you just couldn't escape...no matter how hard you tried. Distressed whimpers slipped from her den into the open. Finally, as she just about to be attacked by the monster, she awoke with a loud gasp.

Dani peered from the darkness with a startled exspression at the sunlit entrance. She smoothed her fur down in realization she was safe. *Gosh, what a nightmare. I think if something like that ever really happens, I'm going to listen to Ash.* She thought recalling her 'teenage' act of rebellion. With a soft sigh she arose from the earthly floor and made her leave for the day. Stoping only to stretch her spine, legs, and paws.

She awoke late, at least for her, and immediately started her rounds on the boarders. Since she was normally done by now, she was shocked to see that no one else was on the job. *What am I missing?* She thought taking a moment to glance around smelling the air. Catching hold of Titan's specific scent she curiously followed, uncaring about anyone else for the time being.

Guilt sunk into her gut, she was knowingly abandoning the only thing she did for the pack. *I need a job, a purpose. I'm wasting myself...I've became lazy and am gaining a more chubby appearance. * A shameful expression crossed her face as she made her way. *Then lets change this.* Picking up her pace she zoomed through the trees. Her speed gradually increased as she pushed her body to it's limits.

Soon she broke out of the foliage and into plan view of the pack. *What's going on?* She kept her distance while wearing the most confused face ever. "Um?" She whispered shyly hoping someone would tip her in. Pretty green eyes found themselves landing on her friend. She stared for a moment...taking in her fellow yearling before padding to his side. Another had already taken 'her' spot beside him. Offering a not so friendly look of jealousy to Kassandar, acting out of character in the process, she passively moved to Titan's otherside. "Hey, what did I miss? I was busy being murdered in my dreams." She joked lightly even though it clearly stirred her.

It took but another moment before she apologized to the stranger. "I'm sorry, that was very rude of me..." She trailed off hoping he would offer her his name. Little did she know she may have just confused an intresring fellow. Quietly she awaited his reply feeling awkward and nervous.

Titan Thorben
Titan noticed his mothers confused look as she glanced over Kassander's form. He watched her look over the healer just as he felt a new presence at his side. Turning to smile at Danica, Titan touched his nose lightly to her cheek in a warm greeting. Light concern flowed onto his face as she spoke of her bad dream. "Well everything is fine now..No one will hurt you here." He tried to calm her though the boy caught her jealous gaze towards Kassander. Then when the healer uttered what Titan thought was a greeting in his Russian language Titan turned and stepped forward to introduce him to the others. "This is Kassander Xanilov... He speaks Russian mostly but I've been teaching him a bit of English, and he has experience as a healer too." Titan tried pointing out the good things about Kassander so that the others would approve of him. Though his mother didn't seem to mind the males presence too much once she received his name.

Then all the questions over his brother Yuka started while he sat impatiently waiting for others to appear.

After all was said and done between the two brothers, Titan watched as his mother doted upon the youngest while worry creased her brow. However he couldn't be jealous of Yuka's situation. Not when he had those scars. Just looking at them made Titan's face hurt. Though he did wonder how badly the creature who attacked Yuka was injured after his mammoth brother got through with it. Settling not too far from Yuka though nearer to Danica and Kassander, Titan sighed watching the landscape and wondering when the hunt was to begin.

Titan waited anxiously as other pack members began to appear out of the woodwork. The dark Thorben didn't recognize the white she wolf who arrived shortly after he had. She had the same regal air about her that his mother had. He watched closely as the woman greeted his mother bowing her head only to the silver female. Then his blue eyes narrowed as the white woman glared at the stranger male he also did not know. It was too bad Titan didn't remember Athena from her short visit to their caves when he was younger. His mother had kept he and his siblings away form the thin she wolf back then. The filled out healthy white second before him now was unrecognizable to the young male.

Turning his eyes away before the she wolf noticed him staring Titan looked over the group of wolves then offered a light hearted question. "So... What are your names?" He gestured to Adair and then to Athena hoping nobody would snap at him for being over curious. Then he listened to the answer whether they came or not before his mother started moving.

Dark blue orbs snapped to the silver form of Nari as she started away at a lazy lope. Titan's tail wagged slightly excited for what was to come. Then he stood up and started forward unsure of how things were supposed to go in a hunt. The yearling didn't have any experience or knowledge that in a hunt or while traveling the pack was supposed to travel lined up in their respective positions. Which would mean he should be trailing the pack lastly. However Titan was bounding along between Nari and Athena waiting for commands and direction on what to do with a smile on his maw.
