He wasn’t sure if the little agouti princess understood what he was trying to describe to her, but it didn’t matter. Their innocence was one of the many reasons why the gangly medic adored puppies so much, and he enjoyed their frantic questions (even if they weren’t interested in his answers). He watched her stalk the dandelions while wearing an amused expression; it was remarkable how little of an attention span puppies he had. Normally XIX was quite against the destruction of plants, as he was very protective over his photosynthesizing friends, but with the dozens of dandelions surrounding the den he wasn’t concerned over a few smooshed ones. She was, after all, helping spread their seeds in order to grow more – whether she was doing that consciously or not, it didn’t matter. With all of her destruction she was helping the weeds flourish.

A soft voice broke his thoughts, causing XIX to swing his head ‘round to observe her brother, Aleksei, crawling out of the den. Oh no, he couldn’t help but think to himself jokingly as a warm smile fell onto his maw. Now he was going to have to entertain not one, but two puppies. The most important thing was making sure that they didn’t wander too far from the den, as Lachesis didn’t want to deal with two very angry parents. He was here to protect the pups, the last thing he wanted was for the forest to gobble them up. Lachesis observed the two siblings as they greeted each other, they’re happiness infectious as it radiated off of them. He couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy, as only he and his sister, Thalia, had ever been close – his two brothers had done nothing but bully him his entire puppyhood.

Pushing those thoughts aside the medic returned his focus to the two children, his pear eyes softening as he watched Karina rub her seed-filled pelt over her brother. Without warning she bounded up to Lachesis to do the same, her small body pressed against his lanky frame in order to transfer the seeds. “We all seeed-es! We fly!” Her ecstatic voice caused his tail to thump against the ground as he leaned forward to blow the seeds off her fur. “Karina seeds! We make more Karina’s!” He joked with a playful wink before turning to Aleksei to blow some seeds off his belt. “And Aleksei’s!”
