Aesire Destine-Caravello
@Aestyn

It had been easy to beat the woman below her in rank – almost too easy as she sought out more of a challenge from the beta femme. She gave an eager smile as she realized that she would hold that beta rank with the woman won and if not, she would become leader of the entire pack. She thought of her friend Ace and almost wished he was there to watch her fight. It was not even a day ago that they had been practicing sparring techniques. Now she could put these techniques to use against her opponent like she had done to Myrrhis. She knew that these femmes would not stop challenging just like she would not until she was at the very top or Phineas found a mate to lead beside him.

When she arrived back she heard the declare from Aestyn that she had won against Seraphina. The woman looked worn out from the work that Sera had done in the first round. She had led Aestyn, who had stood there as the champion to the other fight, off into the area where she had just competed against Myrrhis. She gave a small grin as she offered the competitor the first move. Would this woman be able to take her down or would she be another pebble to knock out of the way? She thought about what Ace’s reaction would be if she suddenly went from such a low rank to leading. Perhaps he would show up to watch the final match? She could never be too sure but she knew that she wanted her friend to be there. Ace was the only friend she had – even outside the pack she did not have any friends. What he thought about it mattered to her. "Let us fight."

Aestyn Lunx

The time had finally come to face off against her last opponent standing in the way of the throne.

Aestyn had just won the previous battle against @Seraphina the smaller dappled female who gave her a run for her money. Now the real final obstacle standing in her way was the much superior in size @Aesire . Aestyn had never previously seen a woman as massive as the one that stood before her now. She knew her exhaustion was an obvious give away but, she would rally sufficient vigor for the last spar. Aesire seemed to be just warmed up as if she had been stretching before a long run. It was evident that the elder femme didn’t put up a great deal of a fight. This was the biggest disadvantage to Aestyn. Her antagonist just had a warm up round where as Aestyn had just exhorted herself against Seraphina. Aestyn shrugged off the unconstructive thoughts of her misgivings for this spar. She knew if she didn’t succeed in this skirmish she would come back for the throne with a vengeance of motivation in a few weeks time once she allowed her body enough time to recover its usual potency. Aesire seemed to be trying to be friendly towards her as her casual smiles fluttered into view.

Aestyn smirked mockingly back only once as she followed quickly behind the beast of a fae. It seemed now that they would have an audience. Aestyn questioned who her pack mates were rooting for seeing as they were both new comers to the pack family. The challenging words burned her audials as the massive dame was commencing the brawl. “As you wish.” her own words bore burning vocals as her first move started into motion. Quick gripping paws clung to the snow packed ground as her appendages brought her to Aesire’s frontal as she aimed low and sturdy hoping she would make harsh contact with her sensitive jaw line. If she made contact she would attempt to twist and pull her down using her body’s own gravity to get Aesire down on the snow caked floor.

Aesire Destine-Caravello

It had become quite clear to Aesire that Aestyn did not want this to be a friendly spar – neither of them were considered fools – they both knew that there was a crown at stake in this fight. Aestyn would no doubt challenge Aesire again if the larger femme came up as the victor. Aesire could see the challenge in her mocking smile and within her light blue eyes. It was a challenge that was eagerly met in her own emerald orbs. They both were driven by a common goal but one could not succeed if the other succeeded. The woman charged at her, underestimating Aesire’s strength compared to her own which was to be expected as they had never interacted. The woman aimed a nasty blow at Aesire’s jawline and the woman could not move out of the way fast enough.

When Aestyn tried to use gravity to her advantage to flip Aesire down below her, there were a few issues. Aesire tugged herself free, refusing to fall given her height advantage mixed with her advantage in strength itself. There was a small growl growing in her throat as the attack on the jawline showed to have formed small cuts that would heal without scarring. There was a single drop of crimson. It was pure accident and so Aesire did not take much offense. It was small like cutting a paw on a sharp rock by accident. With this move, Aesire went to the offensive. She rushed the woman, using her size as an attempt to ram into Aestyn and send her on her back where Aesire hoped to complete a muzzle grab for dominance to make the woman submit. At this point, she needed the win.

It was not so much that Aestyn had underestimated the sheer size or strength of the female but, the pure vigor of optimism had taken over her.

Aestyn was no weakling by any means though, she knew she wasn’t near as muscle bound as the large woman. She had made a direct hit to Aesire’s vulnerable jawline just as she prayed she would. However, she may have clamped down a little too harshly as the bitter taste of iron made a small pool in her mouth. An honest mistake she hoped that Aesire would see it for just as it was. There was no time for an apology, she would have to make a mental memorandum to apologize after the spar. The grip Aestyn had on Aesire’s slightly damaged jawline was shook loose as the large woman tugged away. The cultivating growl Aesire was voicing was infectious. Aestyn joined in to the challenging rumbling snarls. The hackles on her back rose in irritation as her clutch on her was no more. Before she could make a next move the femme had rushed her and rammed into her side. Aestyn let out a loud squeal as her cool blue pools widened with distress.

She was propelled a few feet back from where she previously stood. The wind had been knocked out of her yet again for the second time today. She didn’t know how many more times her body could bear it. A couple of quick gasps for breath were sought as she struggled to rise back to her stumbling feet; that was her main concern at the moment. She wouldn’t let herself be put in a susceptible arrangement. Aesire was reaching out to grab her muzzle which she had to lower to dome to do. Without another second of hesitation Aestyn bounded to her feet as she tried to strike like a viper from the side hoping to catch the lady off guard by attacking the backside of her neck and hoping all of her body weight would land heavily on Aesire’s back.

Aesire watched as the woman quickly moved from under her and found her way to attacking Aes' neck. Was that a fair blow? It depended on where it hit. Aesire rushed forward in an attempt to avoid the attack and cringed a bit when the other woman latched onto her shoulder. She pulled back with her strength to loosen the grip as she went in for get another muzzle grab, aiming to pin her to the ground and end the tournament the same way she had ended her first spar with Myrrhis. She wanted that crown and giving up was not in her agenda. She had been blessed to have taken only a few moves to take down her opponent. It had looked like Serahpina had almost given Aestyn a run for her money.

Aesire was focusing on everything she hoped to accomplish. She wasn't fighting for power or the right to call herself leader. She had reason to believe that none of the wolves fighting in the tourney were fighting for power or the right to call themselves leader. They were fighting because of personality clashes. She knew almost for a fact that Sera was like that - she sought a regal claim. Aesire had learned that the last time they had met and it had caused a division between the two girls. Perhaps as a leader, she could fix that. You must be the change you wish to see in the world, Aesire. You were named for that reason. Her mother's words echoed in her mind as the fight went on.

The kingdom was slipping from her fingertips.

Although, she had received success with her final attack her lack of strength had run low and proved faulty. Before Aestyn even really knew what had happened the massive femme had reigned dominance over her. Aestyn's muzzle breached the tight grasp between Aesire's carving tools very snug. Aestyn winced slightly as her superior dug her teeth in for maybe good measure or to rub it in her face? But, perhaps it was by pure accident? Though half of her being screamed to keep fighting the other side of her physical manor begged otherwise. The fight was now over and there was no use exhorting herself more. She had remained the beta amongst the pack and for that she would have to stay content. Lowering her haunches down to the ground as she twisted free from her opponents clench she pulled her audits back in surrender.

Aestyn's dry throat was graced quickly with her white flag message "You win....for now Aesire." her voice trailed off with the ending comment. As she mustered the strength she needed to pick herself back up as she dipped her muzzle down in respect to her now present Queen. No doubt, Aestyn would be back to claim the crown if the stars would allow. The aqua pools she possessed rose back to the rest of the audience that had accumulated amongst the ranks. Aestyn was far from embarrassed she was proud she held up as well as she had. Especially after a skirmish with the largest she-wolf she had ever laid eyes on. Short as the brawl was, she couldn't help but be pleased she hadn't lost any ground. She moved slowly back to the others following behind the newly crowned Queen. Casually letting her dry tongue slip between her incisors as she panted. Water was the only thing on her mind and lots of it.

Aesire Destine-Caravello

Aesire felt success within her jaws when her muzzle grab landed right where it was supposed to and Aestyn gave into her whim. She backed away from the wolf, raising her head in pride the slightest bit as the woman stated that she had given in just for the time being. Aesire panted slightly - Aestyn was truly a worthy competitor. "I look forward to the rematch. You definitely have skill, Aestyn." She agreed in a friendly tone. She definitely wouldn't mind this woman challenging for her rank and Aesire was confident that she could hold it together. She walked back towards the circle feeling like she had just become bait almost. These other women were no different from her and she knew at least one of them did not like her.

Had she just made herself a target? She did not care for she would take whatever fight was thrown at her. Her emerald eyes held a glow of happiness though she did not want to come off as cocky or smug. She was thinking about how she was going to explain to her arguably best friend Ace what had just occurred. She prayed he would not look at her differently. Who knew, perhaps he would be happy and support her. Oh she could hope. There was clearer air around her as she prepared to take up the full responsibilities of being a leader and she planned to excel in the traits required of her. She started to worry about future things in the back of her mind. She could consult what was to happen with Phineas in due time. Until then, she would keep the girls in line as she planned to hold her title until she was ready and willing to give it up.
