The Silver Male's lunge was met with quick sidesteps - but not quick enough. His body met hers with a crashing force into her shoulder, neither enough to push her over nor send her skittering across the ground in a stumble, but she did pause briefly to re orientate herself which gave him a second or two at most to ready himself for her counter attack. Though he had been watching her with a wary gaze, Ace had not been fully prepared for her own lunge at him, aiming with her jaws to bite down on his shoulder near the base of his neck, where there was enough skin and thick fur for it not to hurt. Much. Barely holding back a hiss of pain at the pinch of skin between sharp fangs, Ace shook his body and soon the earthy hued female let go and drew back.
Taking a deep breath to steady himself from her attack, the Silver Male turned to face Aesire, a wide grin on his face. "You're pretty quick on your feet for a wolf of your size," he said, his voice full of praise and teasing. "I'm impressed." Though she was quicker than he, and more agile too, Ace was strong and more powerful than her. Each of their abilities cancelled out any pros the others could have, making them an even match for each other. It would be a challenge to overcome the other in a fight, maybe even having to take instinct on as a friend. On a sudden thought, Ace decided that he would dart forward and attempt to grab Aesire's right leg with his muzzle and lift it up so he could flip her over. That is, if it worked.
