Drestig Avalon
@Triell no worries, we were waiting on the FTC thread, but since Arya is gone pt I don't really know what to do about that :/

Jessie's presence was unwelcome at best, her grumpy, distrustful nature only adding to Silver's anxiety; and frankly, rather thoroughly ruining Drestig's good mood. When she growled, his ears fell back in anger, and it was only the soft whisper of his name that made him hold his tongue. Keeping his eyes on the ebony woman by his side, he smiled sheepishly at her, making a point of ignoring the grey scout and instead lowering his muzzle to nudge her encouragingly, whispering in her ear: "Ignore her. She just wants everyone to be as miserable as she is." Harsh words, and not completely true to his opinion of his teacher, but honestly she had him rather ticked off at this point. What was it with her, always having to sour everything? Was she really so jaded that she could not let him have this small piece of happiness?!

Luckily Triell arrived at that point, bright orange eyes looking from wolf to wolf, brows furrowed inquiringly. Sliding his eyes over Jessie like she wasn't even there, Drestig looked to his friend and leader, grinning widely. "Triell." He greeted in a warm tone, lowering his shoulders and tail lightly in respect. The dark alpha looked worn, his recent losses added to those of his past, clearly weighing heavily on his shoulders. The Avalon felt with him, heart aching at the thought of all the evils that had befallen the Tainns, but today, it was hard to shadow his joy, and he hoped Triell would understand and allow him the happiness of this moment.

By his side, Silver shrunk, and the dark man glanced down at her, pressing closer to offer her support. It hurt him a bit, to see his angle cower like that, her strength not meant to be hidden under such heavy submission; But it was part of the joining process, and all he could hope for was that it would be over soon. The black lady spoke then, and though her voice shook a bit at the beginning, it gained strength as she went on. She addressed Triell respectfully, and though she might have omitted a part of the truth behind her coming here, her words were honest; And Drestig felt pride swell in his chest as he listened.

When Silver finished, Drestig turned his glowing ember eyes back on Triell, still smiling but doing his best not to appear giddy. With a small nod in direction of his companion, he added to her speech: "Silver and I have known each other for a long time. She's both strong and competent, I can vouch for her one hundred percent!" His tail was waving lightly behind him, brushing against Silver's side. His heart felt like it had swelled to twice its normal size, beating loudly in his chest; He couldn't remember when he'd last been so happy.

ooc:I would just go with the idea Athena said no more and Silver/Drestig left for the time being.

Drestig greeted him enthusiastically. He could not quite smile at his friend in turn. He wasn't rude enough to fake one. It was Jessie's silent presence that had him wondering the most. She was hardly the upbeat, chipper kind of wolf, but he felt there may be something more to it.
The woman submitted without hesitation, and naturally it eased the leader's mind. It was the rules of their world, but her fear was evident with how close to the ground she had become. The Tainn wanted to address it, but he knew not how that very moment. If it was something that could be changed. Gently, he looked upon her, ears tipped to her voice. Another scout it appeared.

He thought another scout would be useful. He wasn't fond of having two of his most loyal and trusted members gone all the time. Maybe, Silver could help in their search of clues. Go farther. He wasn't about to step on Jessie's toes. He took Drestig's words in account, but he merely nodded, mulling over what he exactly wanted to say.

"Nice to meet you Silver. I would be glad to welcome you into the Bend." There was a shift of a true smile to his thick muzzle. The brute exchanged glances between the pair of friends, remembering the talk they had before Drestig had gone away. Would this make him happy? Content?  It seemed an easy price to pay. The dark wolf strode forward, nosing her to stand up, then he brushed his shoulder to her. "It will be up to Jessie what sort of scouting you will do," he added, looking back to the steady form of the green eyed scout, giving her this task. There was a trace of a scent, locked in Silver's coat that suddenly made his lip twitch. He stepped back, staring to Drestig. Why did he know that scent?

Silver
(Start wrapping this up? @Triell @Jessie @Drestig )

It was over before it even truly began. The man next to her, Drestig, had spoken to the man in front of her, Triell. While the dark coated woman appreciated the Avalon's input but thought it might have been a bit unnecessary. Silver didn't want Triell to feel like he was being pressured to take her in.

The strong voice of Triell found shelter in Silver's ears. Acceptance. Rising when her new alpha gave the okay a sense of relief washed over her quickly when he had secured her into the pack with a scent. "Thank you sir." A respectful nod was given to the the alpha of Oak Tree Bend. Looking over to Jessie, Silver offered her a respectful nod. "And it'll be a pleasure to work under you Miss Jessie." A gracious smile lined her lips hoping to lift the earlier tensions that had been stirring so thickly. Maybe later on Jessie and Silver could have a one on one talk. Become friends or at least good acquaintances within time would be nice. Especially if she was going to have to work with the woman time and time again.

Looking at Drestig she cocked her head slightly. Was he going to show her around or was she going to be left to explore it all alone? The dark coated already had a good idea her Avalon knight would be eager to show her around. He had been eager to take her home so surely he must be eager for every other moment together, right? But it left her to wonder something. How long would this happiness last for her? It seemed like all her good things came to a crashing end sooner than later.

Jessie Tainn

Her anger dissolved into disbelief when Drestig's whispered words to his love reached her ears. It was a bitter reminder of all that she and the others had lost over the years. Jessie didn't know why but that one comment sent a heart wrenching jolt through her heart, her emerald eyes darkening on the couple in front of her. She remained planted by Triell's side, not allowing herself the comfort that she had once sought out in situations such as these. How she hated those who waltzed in and tried to become a part of something great and left. Before they knew it, Silver would convince Drestig to leave and the Bend would be down two members instead of one. She remained silent, her emotions boiling deep inside her as she watched Triell step forward to accept Silver. When he addressed her, she dipped her head in compliance, her heated glare returning to Silver before turning back to watch Triell. He had noticed something. She didn't know what, but she had an inkling as to what it was. Triell might not have smelt it from where Jessie had been, but the Tainn knew, her nose had been trained to pick up such scents and warn their alpha of them, and it's the exact same thing that the woman had been trying to teach Drestig.

Hoping some good had come from their first and last lessons, Jessie rose from her position, her head moving so that she could see Drestig and if he so choose, he could lock gazes with her. The pepper and salt colored woman wanted to know if he would tell the truth and held onto the hope that he would be honest. If he wasn't, then Jessie would know that she had completely wasted her time on Drestig and the only good that had come from him was information. Information that he was ordered to get. In their current circumstance, he had a choice, and it was cutting the air supply that Jessie had left, forcing her to hold her breath in anticipation. Her emerald gaze quickly snapped to Silver before going back to Drestig, reminding the woman just what the other was. All she was, was a distraction.

Drestig Avalon
((Ash and I agree that Athena would have allowed Silver to leave peacefully and in good standing))

There was a lot more tension in the air than Drestig had hoped. He was inclined to blame Jessie; Why exactly did she have to be here? Still things progressed nicely, Triell even managing a smile when he stepped forwards to accept the ebony woman into Oak Tree Bend. A short stab of groundless jealousy shot through the dark scout as the leader embraced his companion, their closeness unnerved him even though he knew that it was simple formality. Forcefully, he pushed the feeling aside, chastising himself sternly, that sort of emotions were baseless, and unacceptable.

During his short internal struggle, Silver had thanked Triell for his acceptance, and even gracefully offered an attempt a reconciliation to Jessie. Holding back a scoff, Drestig turned his eyes to the other scout, looking to see if she could muster enough common courtesy to recognize the  comment; Not likely! And indeed, the grey woman did seem completely unfazed, making fresh rage bubble in the ebony man's chest. Then Jessie's deep green eyes suddenly snapped over to meet his directly, something that looked like an accusation glowing in their depths; What?! His brow wrinkled and he was about to snap at his bitter teacher when she shot a glare at the woman by his side, and he turned to follow her gaze, eyes finding Triell's. His friend and leader had a similar expression on his face, though more demanding than Jessie's, and his nostrils were flaring notably. SHIT!

Caught up between the hostility of his pack mate and the anxiety of his angel, Drestig had completely forgotten a key point in this whole debacle, and his ears fell back guiltily, his posture shrinking a bit before his king. "Oh ah..!" He rumbled, shifting on the spot; "I uhm... Forgot," His ember eyes sought to meet Triell's, an apologetic wolf-smile on his lips; "Silver comes from another pack, in fact she helped found a new settlement on the mountain just recently, led by Athena Moon and @Vespertio Vuesain. They have denned near Lost Lake." He paused shortly, glancing to Jessie as the comment, hopefully the new information would help make up for his cock-up. There was a little more confidence in his posture and voice when he turned back to his leader and continued: "We went to them and asked for permission to bring Silver here and they granted it, hoping she can, perhaps, help forge an alliance between our packs." At this point he stood up straight, the process had been peaceful and with the consent of all involved, there was nothing to hide or feel bad about in regards to Silver's transfer. At this point, the scout turned to look at his angel, fiery eyes softening, yet glowing with intensity; "We wanted to be together."

After holding her golden gaze for a few moments, Drestig looked back up at Triell, his manner once more beamish, as he couldn't hold back his joy; "There are no ill feelings between Silver, or us, and her former home, only a mutual hope for happiness. If you see it fit, I'm sure we could use this to build a strong alliance with the mountain pack, they call themselves Fallen Tree Cove."

Triell Tainn
Gosh I'm sorry. A lot for my brain and Triell's to work out. Thanks for the clarification.

It was a path near a lake, and a scuffle with Rhysis and Ice he recalled with that scent. It was not either of them. Athena. Neither friend nor foe. The idea she had brought another pack made his whiskers twitch. Especially, on the very mountain, apparently not too far. The idea unsettled him, but he wasn't sure it was with a lot of reason. Athena hadn't exactly given him grief and he had forgiven Naira. What she had done was...terrible in its own right. That wasn't anything to be digging up now and had no point over this situation.

Holding face, he listened, trying not to let his temper rise. Drestig was his friend, and he had simply followed his heart, trying to do his best. Since it was evident  she had a new mate, he wondered if Athena may be better off. It was not easy, managing to keep himself focused as Drestig continued to try to fix the apparent mess he thought he had made. Seeming overly worried what not only Triell made of this, but Jessie. This Triell tried to remind himself was good that his friend would cae so much about what they both thought. Though he was oblivious to Jessie's real feelings.

There was a humorous snort at the first mention of an alliance. Though it was about time Drestig stood up like the wolf he was. "Alliance? I'd likely want to hear this from Athena herself. While she is not my enemy, she is not my friend. I would certainly hope she had no ill will against Silver leaving. That woman has done far worse herself." It was with a low gruff, his flicked his tail. "I have no qualms you wanted to be together. Right now we will remain simply neutral with the mountain pack. Perhaps later we see if an alliance is necessary, or for our good. " That was all he had to say on the matter, or his head might explode. Orange-yellow eyes he gave them each a final glance, stating he would hear no more and they should all go about their business as he had far too many a thing to do.
