It was time for him to have the talk with Maksim. This wasn't anything with the birds and the bees. This wasn't anything personal. Karpos simply wanted to make sure that he was on good terms with Maksim if he followed through with his plan. He would stand half way inbetween the borders and the center of the den before he raised his chocolate brown muzzle to the sky and released a call for the esteemed leader. He was not entirely sure what was happening with leadership, but he still saw Maksim as the king. He was not entirely sure if Maksim was currently leading or if his uncle was still in place but he knew his uncle would understand. Karpos had plans, and he hoped Jynx would help with them if she knew that they would still be on good terms with the pack that had given him so much. He took a deep breath as he looked around. This was it.
Karpos sat there, fidgeting with his paws as the almost adult waited patiently. He had been combing through statistics for weeks if not months. He knew he would need more support and he intended to find it. He needed someone else to lead with. He hoped Jynx would be willing to take this role. He needed allies for when he did raise a pack and he hoped that Cut Rock River would be one of them. He also had plans to ally with Whisper Caverns but he was not sure how well that would work out given the tension between the two packs. The chocolate boy evidently had a lot on his mind but it all came down to the results of this talk. One thing was simple: He would not leave if Maksim became his enemy for it. He might be young, but he was not stupid. He did not want to be against his family.
