The dark wolf did not realize Drestig could only stand and stare. Not that he would judge him for it. Maybe, he hadn't been through so much death. Or he was worried he wasn't counted as part of he grieving. This was all familiar to Triell. The loss and reality that he would never see a loved one again. Why he would have liked to hold it all in, appear nothing but a solid leader. He had held it together too long. If he was going to fall apart it was better to do it in the company of these wolves. The ones he trusted the most. Orange eyes found his way to Drestig, in invitation and understanding.
Suddenly Jessie by his side, her gentle yet firm touch of assurance that spoke to him the loudest. He tried to smile, but it faltered. The world still felt it was burning around him. The news of Kisla did spend a gleam to his eyes, a lightness to his heart. She was safe, and loved with children of her own. This was something to hold onto in these times.
"Thank you," he murmured, meaning to each of them.
