Garmr
@Triell @Skadi @Jessie @Anneliese @Drestig @Zera @Phyrrus

Backdated to April 14th, the morning after this thread.
Photo of Setting (cliffs/river on left-side)

The silver fiend ran through the forest as if hell itself was on his heels, his paws beating a ceaseless rhythm against the snowy ground. He had not fled into his band's usual haunting grounds of the Sierra Hills, but instead escaped into the shelter of the forest that flanked it. The snow was shallower here and easier to move over, marginally protected by the leafless trees that arched overhead.

The villain had no destination in mind, only the goal of putting as much distance between himself and the Oak Tree wolves as he could. Him and Skadi had run all through the night, stopping for neither rest or sustenance. It was wearing on him, fatigue plaguing his typically confident stance. Garmr's parched tongue draped limply from his dry black lips while a viscous froth settled at the corners of his mouth. Something, no, someone kept whispering within the back of his mind to him to keep moving. The filthy wolves that lived here put too much stock in their pack's ties, and would be unlikely to spare him if they ever caught up with him. A needlessly vengeful lot, didn't they know he had done them a favor by ridding the earth of one more sullied beast?

The sun was beginning to claw its way up the eastern horizon when Garmr noticed the sound of rushing, rumbling water, singing to him an irresistible siren song. His tenacious willpower faltered, hesitancy entering his persistent gait. His long limbs staggered to a stop, momentum now lost as he cast his head backwards, staring at the red tinged forest and peering through the trees and ferns for any sign of life. Those poorly-bred mutts were slow, and he figured he had earned himself some rest.

His pale gaze swung towards Skadi, a cocky smirk on his angled features. "We have plenty of time, there's no way those indolent beasts are anywhere close. We can rest." He told her breathlessly, before stumbling towards the sound of fresh, cold, water. The trees thinned as he picked his way over rocky terrain towards the river, which roiled over jagged, sienna-stoned rapids before cascading over a rugged cliffside. All decorum was lost as he dipped his muzzle into the shallows, thirstily gulping down mouthfuls.

Skadi
Skadi is just... -flails hands- Not sure what the plan is @Garmr, but I'm fine with OTB wolves showing up now. I'm 100% fine with whatever attack anyone wants to make on her. Skadi will be stumbling into the water after enough fatal damage has been done and washed away (ie, no Skadi-head as a trophy)
---------
Skadi was a flagging shadow behind her paler brother.

He wanted her to hurry, to be faster and silent, 'Fenrir's sake, Skadi. Shut up!'  Skadi couldn't even remember why they needed to, but she tried to please him. Didn't she always? So she ran, the ache in her feet dwarfed by the pound in her skull. Every step she took was like a sledgehammer. It took so much energy to stay on her feet, let along moving.

In the attack on Silver the woman had hit her head; certainly not for the first time, but just enough to cause a moderate concussion. At first she hadn't noticed. The mild headache was shrugged off and all she needed to remember was to obey Garmr. It would have healed, just as every other injury had. She squinted after Garmr and saw his form split in two. The point of no-return had been crossed hours ago. Too much irreparable damage had been done in the chase that followed.

She didn't hear the water. Skadi couldn't hear anything over the rush of blood in her bruised skull. The ground slipped under her feet, sideways and up-ways, and travel-worn nails dug into the ground as the woman fought to propel herself forward. When Garmr stopped for a rest Skadi followed suit. She held still for a moment, sides heaving, then crumpled to the ground. "Where?" She muttered, head swaying as she tried to look around. Whatever she meant by the question was unknown, even to the woman herself.

Drestig Avalon

The night had just begun to die, a pale gleam of dawn changing the sky from ebony to indigo, when the wolves of Oak Tree Bend set out on their chase. The discussion had been brief but clarifying, half of them would stay behind and guard the pack, the rest would hunt! Drestig hadn't paid much attention to who came and who didn't, his mind circling around thoughts of revenge; They will pay! All he registered was that Jessie was by his side as they ran, helping him track the monsters up through Spectral Woods and into the fern forest. Their trail was easy to follow, tainted by Silver's blood, and every breath of the scent only riled the black man further. He wanted to tear into them, he wanted to do to them what they had done to her. This would be their last day!

He didn't know how long it took, his brain vaguely registered that it grew brighter around him, but it didn't matter either; he felt like he could run for an eternity, if it meant catching up to the beasts. Adrenaline was pumping through his veins, every hair on his pelt standing on end, and his eyes glistened. Later the exhaustion would catch up to him, but for now, he was ready for battle.

Their enemy was slowing down, their scent growing fresher; We're catching up! The roar of crashing water broke through his mental blinders, its scent mixing with the murderers' trail. The silver tipped wolf shook his head, slowing as he tried to orient himself. He blinked, sniffing at the air; They went to the water! Their stupidity made a smile crack on his dark lips, but it was humorless, a twisted grimace of hate and blood lust. Hesitating no further, he turned towards the river, breaking through the tree line on a few, quick leaps. Before him lay a wide gorge, water splashing over the red cliffs and falling in several streaks to gather again at the bottom in mounts of white foam. He paid it only a moments attention though, as his blazing ember eyes settled on a silver figure, standing with his head bowed by the water, fur still stained by wolfs blood.

With a mighty snarl, the black man flew forwards, not waiting to check if his pack mates were by his side. All he cared about was his revenge. He went straight for the throat, jaws parting to slam around the pale grey scruff and bit down hard. There was no doubt in his mind, that this spindly ghost was responsible for Silver's death, and he would pay for it with his life!

Jessie Tainn

While Triell got all the affairs in order, Jessie made sure to keep an eye on Drestig, knowing all too well what it was like to feel such burning pain. She had felt it multiple times to the point where it was almost blinding and even though she had sworn that she would not help him when it came to Silver, Jessie could not help but break her oath to herself. He was in pain and that was not something the Tainn was good at ignoring. Hotei was staying behind, probably pup-sitting, something Jessie knew he did not mind doing. She hoped that he would not be too angry with her decision to go with them. Not only was it her duty but she needed to stay. She had seen what they had done to Silver’s body and it only reminded her of the bastards that had mutilated Rissa’s body. The rage built up need inside her so it was no surprise that when they decided to go on the move that she was right next to Drestig’s side. They moved together. If Drestig’s pace wavered, then so did hers. If he sped up, she would be quick to follow his pace, their minds set on the ultimate goal to bring justice to one of their own.

She did make sure to know where he pack mates were, finding that it was important that they were also with them. A sort of triumph washed over the Scout when she found that the monsters had crossed through the water. Glancing over at Drestig briefly, Jessie saw a sadistic kind of smirk on his face, making a chill go down her spine. But it soon vanished as soon as they took off again, their paws taking them towards their ultimate destination. Drestig was on the man like an angel of death, wasting no time in lashing out the punishment that the bastards deserved. Jessie’s jade eyes found the other form just relaxing by the water. Rissa and Silver’s bloodied bodies flashed before the salt and pepper colored woman’s eyes once more before she too took off towards the other woman, taking no time to latch her teeth into the woman back and pulling at the bare flesh, tearing at it with ease.

The other woman seemed quite disoriented but the Tainn took no heed of it, as a red rage filled her veins. Eyes narrowing into slits, the woman pushed the bitch onto her feet, her canines flashing aggressively. While she surely would not have minded ripping the other woman’s head off, it was not in her morals to do such a thing. She deserved to feel the torture before she finally died, but Jessie wanted her conscious and definitely standing before they truly started.

Anneliese Schroder
not sure how much of this has been planned already, but I know Skadi is supposed to get away so it makes more sense for me to have Anna help Drestig attack Garmr. if I need to change anything, just shoot me a pm please.

Upon the discovery of Silver's mutilated body, Anneliese had gotten a glimpse to just exactly how unsynchronized she was with her new pack. The worst of it was, she couldn't see that it was anything she herself could fix, because to assimilate would be to compromise her abilities as a paladin with emotion. Yet when the meeting was called and the duties were to be chosen, not a single thread of her being doubted her decision to join Drestig and the rest on the hunt. Firstly, it would go against her nature to avoid danger. Secondly, her soul ached to undergo a mission once again, nostalgic of her time spent with her natal pack and unit. Most importantly, however, she needed to ensure that their emotions did not cloud their judgment so thoroughly that they got themselves killed.

As they ran, the blonde woman mere steps behind the duo in front, she felt excitement course through her veins. It was tragedy that brought them to this point, yet she couldn't help but revel in the moment. Finally, she felt alive again, truly useful again. This was her true purpose, and no amount of scouting and border patrols could distract her from that.

In mere seconds everything changed, from chase to battle. Acting as Drestig's shadow, she launched herself at the looming specter body, catching only a blurring glimpse of Jessie as she targeted something else. Noting this positioning as a second thought, she maneuvered to attempt to latch her claws into Garmr's hide and bury her fangs in his side, aiming to gore her way into the soft hollow that began at the end of his ribcage.

Garmr
I figure one more post each, just to keep this short and sweet and get it wrapped up? I'm 100% OK with any PP of Garmr as long as it ends in him dead (rip him up, throw him off the cliff, whatever).

He heard their paw steps and enraged snarls much too late. The water that he'd gorged upon now only weighed him down. Sluggish and clumsy footed he rocked forward, standing and lurching forward as he knew what was headed towards him. He didn't want to believe it but knew it was true, they had caught up with him. He did not know where the hell he was going, the mind of a simple beast urging him to escape before anything else could even be considered. Skadi had been forgotten, his sister's welfare inconsequential to him.

The silver wraith made it forward a meter, maybe two, towards the rocky ledge before he felt a sharp tug on his nape. He snarled, a high rumble in his chest as his fore paws left the ground, his body arched towards the threat that had so forcefully struck him. His silver eyes flashed with fury, whites rimming the pale devil's irises as they rolled sightlessly. His teeth snapped towards the black hide of the wolf that was holding him, but his ivory fangs clacked empty on air as Garmr was held too tightly to reach anything.

The rough grasp on his scruff was nothing compared to the searing pain along the side of his belly. There was a horrid second of resistance before his flesh gave way. Skin tearing, Garmr unleashed an unearthly scream. His limbs flailed wildly as his neck swung side to side, teeth bared and eyes wild as he tried to attack anything in reach that would stop the pain.

Skadi
hoping for a couple of fatal wounds from Jessie and then I will have a doomed and disoriented Skadi stumble backwards and fall into the water.

Her chest rose like a bellows.  It was no good. The break came far too late. Each breath was nothing but a pair of doomed lungs filling. Noise faded into the background, whatever Garmr said in response to her garbled question was missed. The woman wasn't even aware he was even there any longer. She could barely feel the dirt and hard stone under her sde. The air was like knives in her side and as the minutes ticked by the tremble in her limbs did not still. Oh, yes. It was much too late. The damage had been done, Skadi was simply waiting for it too catch up to her.

The approach of the Bend wolves was like the scractch of a fly against her ear. The woman twitched in their direction, and watched dumbly as a large black beast threw himself past her field of vision. Her eyes squinted to follow and she felt the ground swerve under her unmoving body. Who was that? Some She watched in misplaced fascination. Perhaps this was a story she was remembering? One of the story her elders had todl, a tale of holy wolves slewwing the pheasants. So which was which? It was al very ditaacted interest as she watched the story unfold before her.

She watched Jessie with something akin to expectation, wondering what was going to happen next in the story. She was not expecting the savage greeting or the sudden flare of pain as her body was shoved along the ground. Skadi snapped out wildly at the double-image dancing in her vision. By a feat of determination she clawed to her feet and drunken-stepped around to face her attacker. It was alll she cold do, the brain swelling wass too severe to allow any sort of corindainated movement. The woman snarled dryily and braced her legs agaisnt the spinning world and the attack that was surely was coming. A part of her didn't realize what was comingg, the same part of her that would have been horrified by her weakened front.

Drestig Avalon
Hope this works for everyone. @Anneliese you can throw him off the cliff or whatever you like when your turn comes around ^^

He was seeing red. The world around him invisible as blazing eyes zeroed in on the one goal, the only thing keeping him together, his revenge. With wild ferocity, he threw himself at the silver ghost, snarling madly as his teeth met skin. His jaws slammed around messy scruff, biting so hard that he tasted blood. The bitter taste would have made him spit, had he not known this to be the taste of justice, now he simply squeezed harder, pushing down on the specter with his full force, feeling sadistic joy as the beast crumpled below him. Then a jolt went through them both, and Drestig's eyes veered sideways, to see the blonde woman burying her own teeth in their prey. A soft, approving snarl rolled from his throat, and he turned his attention back, laughing internally at the monster's feeble attempt at getting a hold on him.

Pushing down even harder, the Avalon forced his prisoner down, slamming him against the river bed and placing both front paws on his throat, one on either side of his grip. With the weight of most of his body pressing down on the grey beast's windpipe, Drestig felt sure enough to loosen his hold, lifting up his head to look down at the wretched monster. He squirmed in the shallow water, jaws still snapping helplessly. "Murderer!" The ebony man snarled in a low, horrifically calm voice, locking eyes with the ghostly silver's. Then he roared and dove in again, slamming his jaws around the specters larynx, effectively crushing his life; You deserve this, much worse than this!

Jessie Tainn

Jessie didn’t pay attention to the rest as her mind focused in on her prey. She was so preoccupied in her anger that she barely even realized that the other woman was not fighting back. Truthfully, it didn’t even seem like the woman was comprehending what was happening around her. It just made the Scout’s job that much easier. Without hesitation, Jessie shoved Skadi towards the edge of the mini cliff they were on. With satisfaction, the gray woman watched as the dark bitch stumbled off of the cliff and towards the watery rapids below. Jessie was quick to make sure her job was done. During her fall, the other wolf had hit her head against a rock at the bottom, ending her life for good after what the monsters had done to Silver.

While Jessie would have liked to think her job was done, she knew it wasn’t. Especially when Drestig’s booming voice was carried to her through the space. Anneliese had decided to accompany her pupil with his target and the Tainn woman watched without remorse as Drestig drained the life from the wolf that had murdered his love. The woman was quick to make her way over there, only beginning to imagine what it would be like without the one he loved. She didn’t think she would be able to make it if Hotei left. After all, he was everything she lived for.

She gave the subordinate a warning glare as she made her way over towards the black man, a message that she needed to deal with him. She swallowed, almost nervously, her voice soft as she called for him, trying to bring him out of whatever place he was in. They had done what they could for the justice of Drestig’s fallen love but it was time for them to head home. And Jessie would make sure that she was there every step of the way for the broken man.
