We were the kings and queens of promise

His explorations continued. The aspiring hunter wanted to know every part of his new home, better than he had the old. Inna and Lekalta were still so young that they spend all the time in the den, with Kisla curled up around them, and though the prince aced to get to know his new little sisters, there wasn't much opportunity at the moment. Nor much to know yet either, the infants still more instinct than personality, but Orren was deeply curious about these tiny wolves that were now part of his family, he couldn't remember being so young himself and the experience of watching others grow up was entirely new to him; And exciting! He found that the protectiveness he ad felt towards his pregnant mother was transferring onto the babies, and he made sure to check in on the family several times doing the day.
He couldn't spend all his time at the den though, there were still caches to be filled and land to be explored, so he took many trips out into Kingsfall, learning the location of everything, from waterways and prey trails, to especially large trees or rocks and hills. He was familiarizing himself with the home that would be his; Hopefully for the next many years!
With all the buzz of the move and the new pups, the rounding of the first Baranski litters first year was no spectacular happening. In fact Orren was not even aware that the sun had risen on the first day of his second year, he only knew that he had gotten older, and even that was a fact he attributed to the recent events in his life. While Aleksei had considered himself grown up for a while, the younger brother had been safe in his assumption that they were still children, after all they were the youngest of the pack. It was the reality of becoming a big brother that had finally awoken the foolhardy lad to the reality of his own age. And while he already cared deeply for his new sisters, he wasn't exactly sure how to feel about the rest of it.
