He was certainly a different man, suiting the refreshing relocation of his sibling's pack. Before, the familiar had bored him and the new had tired him. Now his home was a perfect mixture of both, the known comforting him and solidifying his resolve while the change strengthened and tested him. For once, he was passing with flying colors, and this simply fact alone provided enough elation to keep him marching on.
The last couple of days, Erebos had finally felt ready to take on a few patrols here and there. While he was unlikely to be any good in a physical altercation, he certainly had the booming voice and towering figure to scare off any would-be trespassers. He walked the irregular ellipse, rubbing his scent here and there to strengthen their invisible security fence and deter any competitive threats from entering Phineas' domain. As he walked, his mind drifted from here to there, touching on a variety of subjects from the dawning day's weather to his steadily growing hunger to those who dwelled within the boundaries he was marking; the strangers who he'd yet to determine were enemies or allies to him.
