Inali Wayha
@Mirren @Aideen @Bane @Unitas @Danica I know youre on absence Wild, but tagging you just to keep you in the loop. Post if you can :)

This is a MANDATORY pack hunt. This first round will end September 13th. If you know you absolutely can not post to this meeting due to real life things, pm me so we can work something out. But please try your best to post <3

Quick break down. First round will be everyone meeting up, second round will be assigning positions/getting into them and third round will be takedown. Swift and simple :)

Inali was not the best tracker in the world, but she was a good scout. @Nina had assigned her and Hudson to scout the nearby lands to see if they could find a herd so the pack could have a pack hunt. Sometime after the pack meeting though, Hudson had disappeared. Inali had been disappointed, for she had been eager to make a new friend within her new pack. The white wolf had seemed friendly, but he had made his decision so Inali had taken it upon herself to scout the nearby lands herself. For the first few weeks, she had been unsuccessful. She could find no trace of a herd. If she was lucky to find a scent, it proved to be stale and the herd had clearly moved on. Growing slightly frustrated as the weeks dragged on, Inali never wavered in her determination.

A few days ago, the petite woman had finally caught a break. When she once again had decided to explore the fields of her old home, she had noticed the herd immediately. Taking a few days to study the small caribou herd, she took note of the weak and sickly ones within the group. Returning back home, Inali sought Nina, and she was glad that her leader had agreed to watch the pups while the hunt was taking place for that took a heap of stress off her shoulders. Now at the edge of the clearing, Inali lifted her head to softly call for the rest of the pack. She was nervous to lead the hunt, but the mouthwatering scent of caribou overrode her nerves, and she paced silently as she waited for her fellow pack mates to arrive.

Unitas Hervok

Unitas was not in the pack territory when he heard the call nearby. He too had been scouting around the fields of dried blackberries, though for his own more selfish reasons. Tas had needed a break from the pack for a couple of days. He was on his second day away from Secret Woodlands when the dark wolf had heard Inali's call. The shadowy youth had not really met with the newer she wolf, despite Inali actually being a bit of an older member by this time. Perhaps it was because both wolves like to wander, and maybe also because Unitas had been keeping to the edges of the pack. No though, as he listened to the call dwindle to nothing, the dark wolf debated on going to her. On one paw he might get a meal out of it, even if it required a bit of work from his end. The taste of deer was his favorite, though Tas had no clue they were actually going to go after the caribou he'd also seen and scented in the area. Then again did he really want to have to mingle with his pack mates and keep his head low or follow rules?

A low rumble of his stomach was the deciding factor that pushed Unitas to lope towards Inali. The she wolf was not far off, and he couldn't figure out how he had missed her scent nearby. Maybe the wind was going the wrong direction... was what he told himself as the dark shadow flitted across the field of tall bushes towards the Wayha woman. Eventually he made it to the space where she stood. Stopping abruptly around a thorny blackberry bush, Tas then shook his ruff and scented at the air. Inali smelled of sweat, tart blackberries, and of the moldy earth from the thickets. He probably smelled pretty much the same, though maybe with a hint of rabbit mixed into his scent. The first day out Tas had caught two of the little creatures to eat. The day after that though he had horrible luck with them.

Keeping his head lowered and his eyes off of the she wolf, Tas then just sat and waited. A smile, which always graced his black muzzle, twitched wider onto his lips while his deep dark tail began to wag. This was the Unitas everyone was familiar with, constantly happy despite the world falling down around him. Even if he was in trouble or causing trouble the dark wolf would be happy as can be.

Mirren Tainn

Perhaps a hunt was exactly what he needed.

At the sound of the subordinate's call, the swarthy Tainn had made his way toward Blackberry Fields with haste. Inali had made good on her endeavor to track a suitable herd, even if it had ended up taking them all to a place he previously hadn't cared to return to. The sweet smell of the berries in the summer air reminded him of when he'd first stumbled across his mate seasons ago, and as his eyes swept over the familiar terrain and to the distant sight of Inali and Unitas, he did his best to forget that.

Even with nostalgia looming dangerously in the back of his mind, the Leader was more than primed for what was about to take place. The thrill of the kill was one he thoroughly enjoyed and, given the way things had been going for him lately, a productive way to release some residual aggression was quite welcome. The scent of caribou was enough to sting at his nose and saliva pooled beneath a tongue that hung lazily from his jaws as he panted in the autumn sunlight. It hadn't really been in his interest to leave Lyanna behind ─ with winter around the corner, he knew it would be better for the girl to learn the ways of the hunt before the snow began to fall. Mirren agreed to leave her with Nina nonetheless, as the caches would need filling and he rendered there would be more opportunities in the near future.

Over a series of gently rolling hills and through the briars that snagged on his thickening coat he prowled, until at last he approached his pack mates in waiting. "Inali," he rumbled a simple greeting to the tawny woman before nodding his acknowledgment to Unitas.

Miccah Athesila

The man slowly raised his head from the creek as he finished drinking his fill, listening to the female subordinate’s gentle call. He had taken a detour from his usual guarding duties to get a good drink and the man had even toyed with the idea to call for his mate, @Aideen , so they could spend a bit of private time together before they both had to head back to their own respective duties. It seemed that he only saw his mate in passing most days, and by the time nightfall rolled around, they only said a few quiet words to each other before sleep overtook them. Making a note to seek out his mate soon, the man headed towards the call of his pack mate. He believed her name was Inali, and she seemed nice enough, but he had no desire to truly seek out her companionship. He was a man that preferred solitude and silence, and she seemed like a giddy woman, always full of never-ending energy. Still, Miccah knew he should at least make the effort.

His paws quick and quiet, he soon arrived at the field where their old enemies once resided. Making his way towards the tiny group, the large, dark man nodded a silent greeting towards his leader, Unitas, and the petite woman that had called them all. Taking a quick look around, it seemed Danica, his mate, @Bane, and Nina had yet to appear. One of them would probably stay back with the pups.  Miccah sat as his blue gaze moved around the berry field, his observant eyes on the herd and his attitude patient for the hunt to begin.

Bane
It had been so very long since Bane had enjoyed a pack activity with his fellow comrades, savor the meetings and the passes of greetings throughout the pack lands. He, for the most part, kept to himself as always, an understanding which Nina had long now come to learn and understand. He guarded the borders, first and foremost and when not this he was tending to watching over the den as the children slumbered whilst their parents took some time to stretch their limbs. He was content in this silent distance and every so often he was broken by the norm by the wonderful, spirited little @Inali, who always had a way of cheering him up with her chatter. Today she called for him as she had many a time before, though it was not for him alone and it was not for catching up with one another as they basked in the sunlight of an open field.

Bane had not been to the blackberry fields since Black Thorn Downs... He looked upon it now with the slightest of smiles, remembering Minka and Kova well. He knew that he could return to them up north, to visit, though for the most part had placed distance between them if only to give them the space everyone needed from the tensions that had arose between the two packs a time ago. Once his gathering pack mates were in sight, he slowed his pace as he overlooked those gathered - Unitas, who had grown to be a grand sight from the puppy he remembered him by. Mirren, his Leader and another male which Nina had taken in as his own, though Bane and his relationship was thin and they did not equally call themselves family. Miccah, who had been his blood mother's lover once long ago, a man which he was supposedly named for though never could allow himself to become close to... and of course, Inali. To each of them he offered a dip of greeting politely too, though it was Inali who gathered most of his notice and affection.

Bane finds himself sliding to her side, his slender frame mimicking her own though with a much taller stance. He brushes his nose into the fluffy furs behind her ear where it connected to her head. His smile holding there until he pulled away. She, along with Nina, he cared about more then anyone else in the world.

Aideen Smoke-Athesila
I'm here, I'm here sorry sorry sorry!!

She had been busy with her own doings, gathering herbs in the more open forests east of the Thicket, when the call rang out. At first she had dismissed it, too focused on peeling the bark off a salmonberry bush she had been lucky enough to find. Once the strips were securely removed though, she raised her head, brows furrowed as she turned towards north; Who was that calling? Her mind was scattered, brain only now registering what exactly she had heard; A hunt? today? NOW?! It had been so long since the meeting she had all but forgotten about the planned hunt, and every day since then had been so full of work, she hadn't had much time to think about the caches. Now she picked up her gathered herbs quickly and started off towards the Blackberry Fields, moving as quickly as she could through the woods.

Still, she knew she would be late, and when she arrived on the scene, most of the pack was already there. Gasping slightly, the vixen girl joined the others, offering friendly nods all around while her tail waved apologetically. Then she took a seat next to Miccah, lowering her plants carefully to the ground between her paws, before smiling sheepishly up at her husband. She didn't say anything, not wanting to be more disruptive than her tardiness already had, but quickly turned her copper gaze to Inali, knowing that she had been the one to call, and would also be the one to lead the hunt.

@Mirren @Aideen @Unitas @Bane

I am officially the worst person ever. Sorry guys  -_-

This round is basically everyone getting into their places. The next final round will consist of Aideen, Inali and Unitas leading the cow to the take down group and death of the cow. Slight pp guys, just to get the ball rolling <3 pm me if you want me to change anything.

This round ends October 5th. No posting order.

The others were quick to arrive, and she greeted them all with a warm smile. Tail wagging gently, her blue gaze brightened as Bane grew closer and she leaned into the taller boy's man's touch. When he pulled away, she had to push away the dissapointment, for this was not a moment to play catch up. Inali had a duty to accomplish. "I'm so glad you all got here so promptly!," she began, addressing the group. She didn't want to keep them here waiting any longer than they needed to, so it was a good thing the she wolf had thought of a strategy before she had even called the hunt into place. That was why she had taken a few days to study the herd so when the time of the hunt took place, everything would run as smoothly as she hoped. Inali looked around at the group, assessing the wolves that had all arrived to her call. Yes, this would do splendidly!

Her gaze now serious, the rust colored she wolf patiently faced her audience. "My plan for this to be a successful hunt is a simple one, really. I will divide us all into two different groups - one group based on speed, the other based on strength. The fastest will corner the caribou I have chosen, and will work on separating it from the herd. Then, they will lead it to the take down group, who will finish the job." Her blue gaze roamed over her pack mates, making sure they all understood the plan. When no questions arose, Inali smiled and her tail swayed excitedly.

"I will be in the group that works on seperating the herd. Those who will join me are Aideen and Unitas. That will leave Mirren, Miccah and Bane for the takedown group." She watched as the men nodded and moved and her gaze briefly followed them before Inali turned her attention towards Aideen and Unitas. She smiled at them and encouraged them to follow her. In a light jog, she brought them all closer to where the herd was. There, they had a better vantage point of the medium sized herd and her eyes roamed over the herd, trying to lock her eyes on a specific target. Finally, her eyes latched onto a female caribou with a telltale limp in her stride. Something had injured it, but her handicap would serve as an advantage to the pack wolves. Woofing softly to gain both of her companions attention, she nodded to the injured cow.

"I think it best if we come from different sides. When she becomes frightened, she will try to escape, but we can block her in easier if we come from different angles and ambush her all at once." Excitement flowed through her veins, and it was making her mind a little fuzzy. Forcing herself to concentrate, she looked at her pack mates to weigh in their thoughts. When all was said and done, Inali nodded and broke into a slow jog to stretch her legs. Her stride quickened as she ran the expanse of the clearing, heading for her target. Oh, the joy of a hunt! Embracing her speed, Inali could only pray that this would all go down as smoothly as she hoped. Hoping Aideen and Unitas followed her cue, she would soon see her pack mates in her peripheral vision as they all worked on separating the injured cow from her herd.

Unitas Hervok

Unitas listened intently not giving many greetings to those who showed up after him. Miccah was the only one he really dipped his head in a silent hello to. Instead he simply waited for orders keeping his mouth shut and looking off into the distance. The winds picked up for a few minutes blowing the grasses sideways as he watched the brush filled landscape. The bushes were more sturdy, and they resisted the force of the wind pulling themselves upright to reach for the sun and blue sky. Birds occasionally flitted about from trees to the bushes and back again. It was overall a peaceful scene that the wolves were about to destroy. Soon there would be running and chasing, along with blood and pain. This excited Unitas some, but his tail didn't start wagging again until Inali gave him his orders. He would be running with her and Aideen, and they would be chasing the creature. He grinned and nodded to her before looking over to see Aideen and the others.

Once the orders were out the hunt was on. Quickly with a feral speed and smooth gait Unitas sprang forward reveling in the blurs of the plants going by them. He kept pace with Aideen and Inali keeping a little behind the pair of she wolves to keep a close eye on them. He ran to the right of Inali planning to come around and trap the deer in closer just as Inali had said earlier. When they finally caught up to the deer and began to chase it Unitas found himself barking in joy at the fearful creature as it tried to swerve away from him and Inali towards @Aideen. Would she be able to put the thing back on course?

Bane
The last to arrive on scene was Aideen, another small woman of the pack that had been with them as long as he could remember. She took a placement next to Miccah, taking note of the time they had seemed to have with one another, their scents within the pack lands often mingling with one another. He said nothing. Though he noticed their bond, he did not care. After all, one could be best friends, mates even, so long as the rules of the pack (as it was with mostly any pack) were not broken in the same manner which Iopah and Koda had done.

Now with Inali speaking up, his attention went fully to her, to which his head turned to view the woman he stood next to. She wanted him to be a part of the "take down" group, a choice which he had not expected. After all, Unitas was both taller and a bit heavier then he. Though perhaps Inali had made this decision based on the younger man's age. Chasing an animal was far easier then knowing where to strike when taking the animal down. Besides, Bane figured that with Miccah and Mirren's help (both men much larger then himself) he would have no problems with taking down their prey.

As Inali began to branch off with her group, so did Bane. He found himself rounding off away, hoping that both Mirren and Miccah would follow suit, though his attention more-so fell to his Leader for further direction. Far off from Inali and the others as they began giving chase, Bane made sure to line himself up properly so that the prey was following into his general direction. If Aideen could right the animal on it's course, all Bane was left to do was crotch low and wait...
