Inactive IV. Yearling
Mojave Ostrega
Pah, a few hours or a couple of days is hardly a wait! <3

She snorted at his quip about the work being back-breaking, but her attention remained solely on the strewn mass of... whatever it was. She wasn't quite as keen to suss out what it was where he had, but to her it was pretty much the same thing as what was in most caches – food. Food that had been buried presumably for someone to come back for, at least in this case to give a pair of yearlings something to gnaw on to tide them over until something a bit more prime came along. Or alternatively, as Aleksei decided, it was to play with too. Her face scrunched up for a moment as she considered this prospect, as if she wasn't really thrilled with it. But on the inside, it was a much different story that she found could not avoid if she had tried.

Her body was still as he grasped a particularly fleshy portion of the venison, his body already contorting into a typical gesture of play. Her head raised and turned ever so slightly as her considerations drew out... and like a snake she lunged for another hunk of the quarry and gave it a sharp pull back. It gave a little, but didn't separate so easily. Even for some aged meat far from cured in any traditional sense, it was surprisingly tough between her jaws. With her tail now into action and swinging wildly behind her, she shook her half so hard that her body almost dared to follow suit.

Needless to say, the yearling Ostrega was totally game with this prospect.

Inactive II. Subordinate
Aleksei Baranski

For a moment, the yearling was worried that Mojave wasn't interested in playing ... and, well, it left him feeling exceptionally foolish. God, how old was he? Thanks to the thick fur covering every inch of skin, the hot flush that he felt all over his body wasn't at all visible to his age mate. Chartreuse eyes remained wide. Hell, Alek probably would have been pouting if it weren't for the fact his lips were wrapped around a fleshy morsel. Perhaps he should just ... give up? Maybe she didn't want to--

"WHH!"

Mojave sprang forward with a swiftness Aleksei didn't expect, causing his body to lurch forward as she yanked at the venison. Oh, well that was cheeky! Spluttering a laugh into the ribcage, he tossed his own head side to side, jerking his head backwards slightly as he tried to pry the temporary toy from the tawny girl. Despite his excited play, a part of the yearling was relieved that she'd wound up being totally up for their game of tug-o'-war. To leave with his tail tucked between his legs, hot shame hanging over him, would have been humiliating.

He gave a particularly hard tug, and something in the bony morsel gave, if only slightly. Alek certainly didn't notice it, far too wrapped in this game of theirs to even give a whiff. Besides, wasn't that the point? For it to break? It was certainly getting to that point anyway -- with two wolves giving it their all to shred the morsel to pieces, it was destined to pull apart. How long would it take, though ...
