For @Iopah
Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated
The russet cloaked man traveled on across the hilly terrain that gave way to the other side of the mountain without have to cross the Dire itself. With his thoughts to himself, he trekked on in hopes of finding a suitable pack before he beat himself up too much. For now, he had no luck besides meeting Capable a few days ago. Ronan met nobody else on his travels. With nobody to ask information about what packs were in the area, he was soon becoming desperate. If he had time, he would rather seek out different packs and learn about their values, then choose based on his best fit for him and Alisa. However, now the beggar can not be the chooser when winter was coming.

Soon the sound of crashing waters filled his russet audits, Ronan quickened his pace at the thought of quenching his thirst. The sight he came upon was truly inspiring and memorizing. The falls were wonderfully beautiful in his eyes as he reached his thick neck down towards the shore to quench his parched throat. Quickly, the Lockhart man was able to scent the presence of pack nearby. With ease, he moved from the Falls and towards the borders of the pack hidden along the ever so secret falls he had happened upon. Finally, he was in luck and had a chance of joining a pack before winter truly hit hard. Keeping a distance away from the actual borders, Ronan let out a quick howl for the leaders in hopes of joining their ranks.

Eirian Asurn
Was given permission to toss Eirian in!

Steel hardened limbs had been traversing around the perimeter of the Pine's territory for the second time that day when the call rang out through the secret falls, bringing the guardian in training to a standstill. At this cease in motion rounded audits swiveled about discerning the urgency, or lack of in the summons even though the call had not been directed at him in the slightest. Yet, this swayed the Asurn brute not from picking up the previous momentum, if not pushing harder and faster to intercept the stranger at their door. In his mind; whether true or not, it was Eirian's job as second highest ranked male to pick up the slack in the wake of the patriarch's diplomatic mission regardless of the capabilities Iopah had in running a pack without the support of her beloved Koda at her side.

Creamy limbs were swift at navigating their way through the familiarized territory, dull nails kicking up small piles of snow after each stride. Citrus irises scanned the rapidly approaching horizon for details on the exact location the call had resonated from while nostrils flared to catch a whiff of the unknown wolf's trail. Not much time needed to pass before a scent was captured, body angling to follow the increasing strength of the cologne until a russet hued male came into view near the borders, no signs of Iopah yet on the scene. The unmistakable Valley genes ignited an angered flame behind those tiger orange eyes of his as Eirian gave the man a once over, but no signs of this ill received information broke through the neutral expression plastered across a dark tawny mask.

Barrel broadened chest puffed out dominantly to aid his attempt at matching the slight size difference this russet man had on the Asurn, head held above that of the other. A charcoal tail swaying mid staff at his rump should the ruling matriarch appear soon. "State your name and business for approaching these borders." A slight rasp tracing over the words that were loosened from his coral tongue. It had better be a good reason for requesting precious quality time of the Pines' leaders.

Iopah Reinier
@Ronan So sorry for the wait!

She had noticed Eirian's dedication to the borders and had gradually withdrawn to give the male space to do his job. Nothing had been said and she felt that nothing needed to be. He wanted to keep watch over them and it needed to be done, simple as that. From time to time she visited the borders; surreptitiously checking everything over. Each time met with her approval and the checks happened less and less frequently. The arrangement left her free to do other things - and the Pines' queen mentally thanked him for that. It was one less thing for her to worry over.

As the howl sounded she paused, tail lifting as the unfamiliar voice. Koda was gone - this was her summons alone until he returned. Iopah turned on her heels and started wordlessly in their direction.

She arrived just in time to hear Eirian's graveled question. The cream-coated Pines' queen drew alongside her subordinate. "Thank you, Eirian." The appreciation fell easily from her dark lips; once again the male had more than proven his worth. Next, her eyes fell to the new-comer and appraised him without any meekness or hurry. She was in charge and he'd best respect that. He might be young and strong, but that mattered very little. "Hopefully you have a good reason for coming to our borders." This would not be the first unruly stranger they'd sent packing.

Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

The red coated brute wasn't alone for long as he waited silently aside the secret falls. As another heeded to his call, his blue eyes lowered towards the snow covered ground respectively. The male before him dominantly postured as he stopped a few lengths ahead of him. Raspy and deep, the pack wolf gruffly demanded for his name and business at the borders. Nodding, he looked up for a moment to answer the males demands and his eyes took in the sight of another approaching silently. The cream coated woman thanked the other, Ronan quickly realized her ranking here.

His large body lowered submissively as much as it could underneath the eyes of the Queen of these lands. Her own words cut through the air. "Ronan Lockhart, an' I've come in hopes ay earnin' mah place haur, if yoo'd hae me?" His native tongue thick as his sky blue eyes glanced up at the paws of the cream coated lady before him. The lad was more than able to earn his keep here, his large stature made him a great candidate for a guardian role. Honor was in his blood and he is more than willing to show her just that.

Eirian Asurn

Eirian would not have the pleasure of interrogating the russet rouge for long as the presence of Iopah graced the small gathering. Her perfume was the first indication of the reigning queen's arrival before the sound of approaching footsteps and the commanding voice broke out onto the air. A minor squint of scrutiny fell from citrus irises unto the rust tinged male, creamy limbs backpedaling only a fraction to allow the cream pelted woman the space needed to address this newcomer without interfering. "M'lady." he offered quietly in greeting with a swift bow of his head, eyes never leaving the large male's embodiment. For now Eirian would remain a silent vigilante in the shadows of his queen, muscles ready to strike should this wolf be foolish enough to make a poor choice.

Well trained eyes reveled in the sight of the Mackenzie brute so low to the ground, cream hairs lining the stomach inches from brushing against the cool ground. 'Exactly where you belong, vermin.' Asurn bred thoughts of superiority over other species making its presence known once more within Eirian's mind, but such thoughts never breaking the cemented neutral expression upon his maw. Dark russet audits listened to the hardly coherent words expelled from Ronan's lips, an accent that did well at grating against his eardrums. 'You'll have to survive the hell i'd put you through to earn a place here.' A derogatory snort teased the Asurn's nostrils, but quiet he remained despite the spiteful comments whirling in his mind. Such comments were better off left unspoken for now. There was too much work left for him to accomplish to risk it all being done for nothing by a snide comment heard by the wrong set of ears.

Iopah Reinier

She was thankful for the business at hand, it was a distraction that she welcomed. Her golden eyes narrowed down on the submitting male with no trace of thought or concern for the fate of her wolves. She could only do this one thing right now, could only worry about this one individual for the moment.

He asked a question that she brushed over gently - they would work their way to an answer. As Ronan fixed his gaze on the snowy ground, she fixed her gaze on him. There was no question that they needed wolves and his thick speech had given her only slight pause, but the diction and drawl was not the same as Kjors. "What can you do?" Her eyes canted sideways, testing to make sure the blue-eyed brute would not dare to meet hers.

The Pines' queen hesitated a moment, mulling words over in her head. Iopah was curious - for better or worse - and her questions were not always taken the way she meant them, but that would never dull her interest. "Why are you a loner?" There wasn't particularly a bad answer, but she wanted to make sure to not invite future trouble into her ranks. "Did they cast you away, or did you leave on your own?"
