Spieden had never been a fan of this time of year. The stench had seeped its way through her skin, permeating her fur in bold declaration of her current state. She could only think of the female salmon she sometimes caught, their flesh pulled open to reveal hundreds of little orange eggs in their belly. Eggs. No. It was too much, and the feeling that came along with it that made her stomach clench in anxious knots. She never liked attention, and especially not that sort of attention. She would make sure any male who even looked at her until this curse passed would sorely regret it.
Maybe, maybe she could just wash it off. Water cleansed all, and with any luck it would seep the sickly hot feeling from her skin and soak away the nauseating scent that followed her around wherever she went. Her heavy gait brought her to the edge of the creek, working her way downstream until she found the little pool created by ice and stone choking the creek. It was a place she normally checked for any fish who might find themselves trapped, but today it would serve a different purpose.
Bracing herself she brought her paws right up to the edge of the rippling water. She knew just how cold it would be, but she would do anything just to get rid of the stench. With one deep breath, Spieden leapt straight in.
Submerged up to her shoulders in icewater she gasped, "FUCK THAT'S COLD."
