It was so out of place and yet appropriate for the situation, that Iopah could not help but tilt her head at Zeta. The moment was quickly lost as a subtle tapping drew the queens gaze. Iopah looked at the freshly marked Pines' wolf as she looked to another for instruction and snorted loudly. Did the girl not realize that Erebos was no longer in charge? That Erebos had as much knowledge of this place as she (Maeve) did?
Iopah answered Erian with a curt nod. She would have rathered that this group had brought something besides surly expressions, but they did need members. And now that they were here it was her responsibility to feed them. Without waiting for Maeve to make up her mind about who to follow, Iopah veered towards the nearest cache. They would all have to make the best of this situation. If Iopah had little choice but to accept them, then they had even less options. As the small group ate and rested a moment, Iopah waited with them. When they left with Eirian for the borders, she watched them go a moment and then carefully scratched the earth back over the cache. With any luck, this would work out. With any luck, her daughters might find their way back as well.
